From the first match to air on “HDNet”, Delirious vs. Jerry Lynn, all the way to the Roderick Strong & Kings of Wrestling vs. Davey Richards & The Briscoes bout that will close out the final episode, “ROH on HDNet” has always provided the absolute best wrestling action on television. The partnership over the last couple years produced many great memories including title changes, heated feuds, and some of the best matches on TV. From the crowning of Eddie Edwards as the 1st ROH Television Champion, the American Wolves capturing the World Tag Titles in a Tables Match, the brutality between Kevin Steen, El Generico, Steve Corino, & Colt Cabana, the family feud between The Briscoes & The KoW, sad farewells to Bryan Danielson, Nigel McGuinness, & Tyler Black, and much, much more, HDNet has experienced all Ring of Honor has to offer.

With this Friday and Saturday being our last set of tapings, we encourage everyone to come out to South Philly for “ROH on HDNet” one last time and experience the greatest pound-for-pound wrestling action on the planet. We promise to go out with a bang on HDNet with the huge main event Six Man Tag Team Match featuring ROH World Champion Roderick Strong and World Tag Team Champions The Kings of Wrestling w/ Shane Hagadorn, Truth Martini, & Sara Del Rey vs. Jay & Mark Briscoe and Davey Richards!!

Along with that huge match on Saturday there will be the “2011 Top Prospect Tournament” consisting of ROH newcomers, established ROH wrestlers who have never been in any kind of championship contention, and one wrestler who has never competed for Ring of Honor. The First Round will be held on Friday, January 21st with the Semi-Finals and Finals to be held on Saturday, January 22nd. Here are the brackets for the tournament:

In addition, ROH officials have signed a number of other bouts to take place over the weekend, including 2 potential title defenses for ROH World Television Champion Christopher Daniels. Also, a special in-ring interview will be held with Davey Richards who has informed ROH officials he has something to say and wants the world to hear it. Also in that vein, officials have also received a rather rambling e-mail from Prince Nana stating that we will see his face this weekend. We don’t know when or why, but The Prince from Ghana, West Africa guaranteed he will be in attendance at some point.

We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support of “ROH on HDNet”, and we look forward to seeing all of you this weekend as we celebrate two years of the best wrestling available in the world!

I was thinking about this today. Is Cornette's time as Executive Producer with ROH over since there's no TV show? It was reported that Haas and Benjamin were able to work more for ROH due to HDNet fronting their paychecks. Are WGTT seemingly done with ROH after their scheduled dates?

This sucks. I became a huge fan of ROH right before they debuted on HDNet. When they did debut, I didn't have HDNet, so I had to find an online way to watch the show. I'm glad I found it, because I became an even bigger fan. Over the past two years, ROH has entertained me endlessly. I discovered ROH at the perfect time. Early 2009 featured a completely predictable WWE and although TNA wasn't nearly as bad as WWE, it was also going slow. ROH made me become interested in wrestling again.

I sincerely hope that ROH is able to find another television network to showcase their talent. The problem with HDNet is, it's not a mainstream network and not all cable and satelite providers offer it. Hopefully ROH will be given another chance by a more popular network.

You may be right. Some WCW talent had their contracts through AOL Time Warner instead of the company as an entity. Thats one of the reasons the Invasion angle tanked with talent. They would rather sit and get paid than work. Ball is in WGTT's court.

Haas & Benjamin aren't under contract.

Whether or not HDNet were willing to pay for them to appear on HDNet tapings is neither here nor there, regarding future house show/iPPV appearances.

Cornette's "executive producer" thing was a gimmick for TV.

Hopefully they try to get on another network like Versus...

I wouldn't broadcast on Mondays though... I'd like to see ROH have either a 8pm Thursday night time slot or a Friday night 10pm show time. This would also allow them to tape new TV right after a Saturday Night IPPV......

Ring of Honer on Versus sounds good to me. Hopefully we get that 1 hour back soon... but hopefully Versus won't expect "Ratings"......

Never said WGTT were under contract with HDNet and I don't see how HDNet fronting their bill (not just for HDNet appearances, BTW) is a non issue since ROH can't afford them on their own.

Cornette's EP title was obviously a gimmick for TV, but again he got paid mainly for HDNet appearances and was rarely used on house shows. Since his fictitious EP title is gone and so are his pay dates, is there any reason for ROH to keep him on the payroll?

I'm not gonna lie some of the worst matches I have ever seen in person have happened at the ROH tv tapings. It just seemed like they could never get the correct formula for the show down.

I think Tuesday or Wednesday night would be better. Obviously anyone signing a TV deal with Ring of Honor isn't expecting great ratings, but I still think it's a bad idea to put the product up against Smackdown, Raw, Impact, or even Superstars. TNA and WWE fans aren't going to give Ring of Honor a chance if they have to miss a show they already watch to see it.

Yeah, I'd much rather have this on really late at night where they wouldn't be expected to pull really strong ratings. Then maybe after the new show builds momentum, they can move it to a prime time spot. Who knows. Now the WM weekend shows are iPPVs, so it looks like ROH will just continue to do more of their shows online. Not a bad move really.

What do you guys think about ROH possibly trying to get a deal with G4?

What are you talking about? They've had easily some of the best televised wrestling matches ever, storylines that progressed week-to-week, and actually built up to things. Did they have some stinkers every once-in-awhile? Sure, but so does everyone. I fail to see how a show that gave us Davey/Tyler, the TV title tournament, Hero/KENTA, Aries/Danielson/Black/Lynn and many more 'never got the formula down'.

TNA loses their Monday Night slot and now ROH has lost this

Is there even a future for these companies anymore?

Not a big fan of ROH on HDNet or ROH as a matter of fact (please don't kill me for saying that). But if they do get on a channel that I do have I'll watch. But if they go a channel I don't get I'm not gonna go out of my way to look for it online.

G4 IMO are in their last days. Shows like X-Play and AOTS are just not what they used to be and I don't even know if it's a tech channel anymore with crap like COPS and Movies That Don't Suck which in itself is irony as they do suck! Adding ROH to the future line of programming will just contribute to that "We're a spontaneous network" feel they've got going on the past 3 or 4 years now.

The only network I can think of for them is MTV but MTV looks like they have no/never had interest in having a wrestling program. Plus Jersey Shore is just bringing in tons of ratings for them atm, they could careless about adding another show.

There's also ESPN which I've yet to see a wrestling show on. ROH is a good little indy show for them to air.
