So ROH on Honor Club Episode #14 6/1/2023
Infantry vs Kingdom - It was essentially a squash with the Kingdom winning as expected.
Trish Adora vs Skye Blue - It was the unusual unimpressive Skye Blue match. Her offense is just not good at all and AEW/ROH isn't really the place for her to learn how to fix that.
Dark Order vs The Righteous and Stu Grayson - The idea was there but the match happened about a month too soon. Stu and The Dark Order have been squabbling some, but Stu was really itching to fight them here and there just wasn't enough build to justify it yet. Dutch looked good here with some nice moves.
Diamante vs Promise Braxton - You can tell they are planning to do something with Braxton, but Diamante has never really impressed during her AEW/ROH run and this was nothing special.
Brian Cage vs Willie Mack - You'd want these guys to have a hoss vs hoss match here and work differently since both are bigger, but they just worked this like they would anything else. It should have went longer as well, so they would have had more time to build up something.
Zack Sabre Jr. vs Rocky Romero - I'm not much of a fan of either guy but they worked together a lot better than I expected them to and it was watchable. I expected to hate it, but nah, it was fine.
The Workhorsemen vs Action Andretti and Darius Martin - It was shorter but it was a decent match. They have a longer and better match in them I think. I actually do prefer Andretti and Darius over Top Flight. Andretti's not the world's great worker, but I do think he gets how to work as a face.
Kip Sabian, The Butcher and The Blade vs Jobbers - It was over in under a minute.
El Hijo del Vikingo, Komander and Bandido vs Jack Cartwheel, Serpentico and Angelico - Shockingly, I liked this. 6-man's often work with spotmonkeys because they can hit their spots and don't really have to worry about selling, working face/heel or trying to put a match together. And because there's so many guys in these and not a ton of time, they don't get a chance to screw it up. No, it wasn't great, smart or super memorable, but they did okay with it.
Katsuyori Shibata vs Alex Coughlin - It was short and Alex did okay here with 2023 Shibata. I get that Shibata is limited and maybe seeing him period is better than nothing, but I'm not much of a fan at this point.
Athena vs Kiera Hogan - Athena worked the arm most of the match then won by sitting on her off a roll-up and holding the tights. The ending wasn't too good here. They had a big brawl after with security guards getting hit and them trying to break the fight up.
Overall thoughts: I liked 3 of the matches and I didn't hate the show or anything, but I wouldn't recommend it. This show was about 1 hour and 52 minutes long.
