After tons of speculation that he would join Nakamura and the Bullet Club in their jump to WWE, Romero has signed a 2 year deal with NJPW.

NXT wanted him as a trainer but Rocky still wants to wrestle. A 2 year deal is said to be a big deal in NJPW, plus he still gets to work for ROH and smaller indies. Hopefully this wakes NJPW up and gets them to sign more guys for longer term deals.

I'm happy about this because it means more Roppongi Vice

EDIT:
Back Luck Fale has joined Romero in signing a two year deal to stay with NJPW

Re: Rocky Romero signs two year deal with NJPW, can work still for ROH

Kind of a waste of money, IMO, but I could understand why NJPW wouldn't want anymore of an exodus. It sends a message to everyone else.

They better make sure they lock up Tonga, though, and actually push him.

Love the Roppongi Vice theme. :tucky

Good. More RPG Vice is good for me in New Japan.

However, I see him in NXT as a trainer eventually. He just doesn't feel done as an in ring competitor.

Bad Luck Fale is also staying. Maybe @famicommander could change the thread title.

From Bad Luck Fale's Facebook:
The Underboss - Bad Luck Fale

There has been a lot of speculation around my future. I have had offers from all corners, and a lot of people telling me what to do. But as always I've always blocked out outside voices and stayed true to myself. I am someone who stays true to myself. I believe in integrity, honesty and loyalty. And it's those principles that have swayed my decision. I will stay with NJPW because they believed in me when I was nobody. That means more than anything materialistic. I look forward to the future and appreciate the opportunity that I have had and that I have been given. Bullet Club for life!!!!

Nice perspective.

YES, Roppongi Vice lives!!!

There's still hope for that Roppongi Vice music video.

In celebration, the next 30 minutes of my life will be taken up listening to the greatest theme in wrestling right now.

Bad Luck Fale is also staying. Maybe.

Nice perspective.
Just gained massive respect for Fale. Sticking to his guns and with the people who believed in him. He may not be the greatest wrestler but I always kinda had a soft spot for the guy and now I like him even more.

NJPW needs to take WWE seriously, NJPW's integrity and better show is what will keep people from jumping ship.

WWE won't stop, they will continuously attack TNA, ROH, NJPW and LU, and the indys for whatever they can, and even if they don't actually want the person, they will do it to hurt the competition, even if WWE doesn't publicly consider any of them competitors. If you ask me, you take the top 2 talents from a promotion, they are your fucking competition.

I didn't see him getting that far in NJPW, tbh.
He will most certainly get lost in the shuffle in WWE.

I used to say that he should go there, but that was before the influx of new talent. He'd be damn near last on the totem pole.

I think he's making a play for more money from NJPW.
