I'm confident that if Orton vs Rock happens at Mania, it could be a very entertaining feud. The backstory is already known. Third generations collide.

They literally don't need a script. Orton is a complete savage and he is holding back on TV just because he is told so. Rock on the other hand is perhaps the greatest trash talker of all time.

I think these two can offer us a great feud with memorable and savage segments.

Thoughts?

The Rock is retired lol

This match is so 15 years ago. It would have made perfect sense in 2005 at WrestleMania 21, or even some point after, but nowadays who cares?

Rock would absolute destroy him on the mic. I could see some Diva tantrums backstage by Orton if Rock totally rinsed him on the mic. And it's not like Orton could either bury The Rock or beat him in a real fight so the match itself could suffer if Orton decided to say fuck it and sabotage the match........which he has been known to do.

Honestly - I’d enjoy it. It was a feud that I wanted to see back in the day.

As an expert on Rock promos, I actually think Orton has the demeanor to hold his own against the Rock. It'd be fire vs ice but Orton is funny and clever in his own way and wouldn't be visibly intimidated by Rocky

I'd watch that. But Rock is never wrestling another match again unless his Hollywood career suddenly collapses for no reason

Moot point as The Rock is done with professional wrestling.

As good as Orton is, he's not as big as Cena is in terms of popularity, so him fighting Rock makes no sense.

maybe 14 or 15 years ago when rock was still somewhat around and orton was still in his legend killer gimmick and still gave half a shit but not now. Waste of time. Rock would wipe the floor with orton in the promos because orton has all the personality of a pigeon.

as its been said, rock is basically retired and even if he did come back at some point (really doubtful considering the injures he picked up last time) he would likely be wrestling someone like roman reigns or brock lesnar. Orton is pretty much an afterthought in 2019, wwe certainly wouldnt be pairing him up with the rock of all people if they could somehow coax him back into another match.
