Ring positions

I have decided to call my thread for "Ring Positions", because I don't get it. Why do so many have to correct themselfes from where they are laying in order to be in the right place for the opponent to perform the next move? Just take this weeks Impact! wrestling (Thursday 27th of September) where Austin Aries performed the Brain Buster on Bobby Roode. When Roode was laying on the mat, he lifted his head/neck and positioned himself so he was more in line with the corner, so Jeff Hardy could do the Swanton Bomb on him. Why did Roode has to correct himself and his position so obiviously?? I just don't get it.

The 619 is horrible when it comes to this

You just answered your own question....
No, I haven't answered my own question. I said "so OBIVIOSLY". It was just one second after Roode landed on the mat and then up pops his head and he moves in line. I thought when you have had your brain busted you would be kind of knocked out or at least stunned. It really ruins EVERYTHING, I think. If that is "fake", then if a real accident happens then I just have to think that is fake too.
Because sitting the wrong way could endanger him or Hardy and while some notice not all pay that much attention. Its all for the safety of both men really.
The most obvious to do so is Bully Ray. He always looks like an injured beetle on his back. It looks so stupid and obvious that in a way it's cool again.
Luckily I didn't notice that as it would tarnish that beautiful Swanton Jeff did.
It just came to my mind Tara did the same thing, sort of. I mean, she was supposed to have an injured knee, and then after her victory she jumps around one spin nothing wrong with the knee. But the female referee (I can't remember her name) still helps Tara as if the knee really was injured. I just don't get it. Does Tara have an injured knee or not? I mean, she got help from the referee after the match going backstage.
So that he would be in a better position to receive the Swanton Bomb. If Kurt Angle pulled himself in closer to the corner at WrestleMania XIX, Brock probably wouldn't botch the Shooting Star Press. Of course, Brock could have done that himself too.

Of course, it was just bullshit by Tara. She was happy to beat ODB with the help of her fake injury trick and forgot to sell her knee for a short moment. When she realized this, she immediately went back to "injured mode" to let herself be helped backstage by Taryn Terrell (the female ref).
I am just so annoyed by all of this. I mean the professionals are supposed to be better than those young ones from Gut Check. Still the professionals are making so many botches and mistakes et cetera that it is ridiculous.

So is Tara's knee injured or not? What should I believe according to TNA? I mean Tara stated earlier she is the dominant female wrestler in TNA. If that is the case then she should be better than the rest and then she is doing such a huge mistake.
The 619 is horrible.
Fixed.

As for Tara, you're clearly not getting the point. She's a heel. Heels cheat. One way heels cheat is to pretend to be injured so as to better lure you into position to be kicked in the nuts. Go watch some classic Ric Flair matches. :)
First, obviously the REASON they do it is so the next move can be performed with as little chance of injury as possible. However, a lot of guys will use their selling of a move to put themselves in position. SOme are good at it, some are bad. I would be willing to bet most fans didnt catch Bobby Roode doing it because it was a part of his sell.
I'm sure the OP realizes that it's so they're in a safe position to take the spot. I think he means more, why not have the opponent just take two seconds and slide him slightly to be in the right position?

I can relate to your post OP because this bugs me every time I see it. Plus, it's even dumber that they do slide them sometimes and not others. That lack of consistency is distracting tbh.
I notice Bully Ray doing this a lot of times in his matches but It doesn't bother me to be honest, they move in the right spot so they can hit a clean move instead of hurting each other. I'd prefer if I don't see it of course but its not a big deal. RVD does his moves even if your not in line like Jeff needs to do his top ring moves and he moves in the air to hit his moves perfectly but I don't see anyone else doing this.
I would much rather prefer if the opponents moved the other one than one moving himself. I mean what are the odds you are going to land in the right spot if the fight have been real? I like wrestling to be realistic and entertaining, but when you move yourself then it is not either realistic or entertaining anymore.
