According to Wrestlezone and ProWrestlingSheet.com, former WWE Champion Dave “Batista” Bautista was in Orlando last Sunday for the Royal Rumble PPV, and met with Vince McMahon backstage at the event.

McMahon reportedly wants Batista to make a one-off appearance at WrestleMania 32 this year in Dallas, but in a non-wrestling capacity. Despite Batista listening to the pitch, however, it’s being said The Animal initially passed on the offer, but the door was left open for creative to pitch other ideas on possibly using Batista at the big event this year.

I remember shitting on Batista in '14 because he showed up out of shape and his workrate was so low but near the end of his run when Evolution reformed he was really starting to improve and now in retrospect I really appreciated the presence and character he brought to the show, especially in the midst of the bland, small, flippy, spot monkey revolution we're currently in.

I saw "Report: Vince McMahon meets with" on the main page and was hoping it was a psychiatrist. But yeah, not real interested in a Batista return tbh, especially in a non-wrestling role. He's a decent mic worker but not a guy who can talk people into the building like Rock can.

Rock: 9:00-9:15 Promo

Batista: 9:15-9:30 Promo

Austin: 9:30-9:45 Promo

And I'm sure they can find someone else to complete the hour worth of promos.

Sadly, some of those promos might be more to look forward to than the actual matches.
