Don't bet on Tessa Blanchard becoming All Elite anytime soon...

Tony Khan isn't interested in bringing Tessa Blanchard to All Elite Wrestling, writes talkSPORT's Alex McCarthy.
Per the report, a source close to the former Impact Wrestling World Champion believes that the AEW President isn't interested in acquiring the free agent likely on account of her alleged behaviour issues, with the 24-year-old's recent Impact departure adding to an already unsavoury reputation behind the scenes.
Blanchard was let go from the promotion will still holding its top titles after failing to submit promo and interview content her employers had requested while she was quarantining in Mexico. This led to fears of her no-showing the upcoming Slammiversary pay-per-view, where she was supposed to drop the World Title in a five-way bout.
Tessa's reported misgivings stretch back years and may have cost her a full-time gig after competing in the 2017 Mae Young Classic, though Vince McMahon's promotion is now back in the hunt for her signature.
January saw Blanchard become embroiled in a racism scandal as a 2017 incident with Puerto Rican wrestler La Rosa Negra was brought to like on social media. Khan's stance on Tessa follows on from him banning Hulk Hogan from AEW, despite Blanchard's obvious talents.

If she is really a racist and an asshole to work with sounds like they are better off anyway.

No one seems interested in her so that speaks volumes.

I'm not a female wrestling fan so tbh I dont care.

WWE didn't want her because of a bad attitude and she leaked the results of the Mae Young classics, got fired from Impact and blacklisted from the company, and got blacklisted from Stardom for her racism. Every company should steer clear of her shes bad news all around.

If true, I’ll be very disappointed. Tessa would be so perfect for AEW. She wouldn’t elevate just the women’s division, but the entire AEW roster as well. I would much rather have her in AEW than, say, Rusev or EC3.

She'd hurt AEW more than anything because shes a toxic individual who's blacklisted from 2 companies and one of them just fired her last week. AEW should stay far away from her as possible shes not worth the headche.

If tessa couldnt be assed to put in the work for a company that put their highest belt on her, then what is she going to do when she's stuck in the womens division? Their womens division is shit anyway, Tessa dont fix that, she'd just highlight it.

This will be the downfall of AEW.

Too busy worrying about how SJW's perceive them rather than addressing blatant weaknesses on their roster.
Or they just don't want to have to bother with people they think of as assholes. Like they wouldn't want to bother with you I guess.

If the reports are true, this company just revealed that it isn’t serious about women’s wrestling at all, and that no one should take them seriously on this front ever again. If it’s because they want AEW to look masculine and have a masculine feel, then I don’t see it when they are putting Orange Cassidy in the main event slot. When you go out of your way to ignore signing a talent, even when member of your own roster say that from a professional standpoint signing her is the right call, there is clearly something wrong here. AEW should just admit they’d rather run bra & panties matches and be done with it.

I’m also not sure what major female star AEW is expecting to sign to bolster their division. It isn’t like Sasha or Bayley or Alexa or Charlotte is about to walk out on WWE and sign with them. AEW is letting Impact, ROH, MLW, and NWA take all of the stars. They aren’t bringing in anyone from AAA or CMLL. And Cody doesn’t want Sexy Star in his company, and while I like Sexy Star, I don’t fault Cody for his stance on her. I hope they aren’t expecting more joshis. I respect what the women do over there in Japan, but this isn’t a joshi company. And it’s not like AEW went out of their way to sign that star in Puerto Rico that Tessa was racist to once news of Tessa’s behaviour became publicly known.

Between this, the various other signings for the women’s division they’ve missed out on, and the Young Bucks wanting Marty Scurll to be the leader of the Dark Order (and it took advice from flippin` Cornette for AEW to end up dodging a bullet in this case), it’s gotten to the point that Cody & Tony Khan need to wrest control from Omega and the Bucks. JR, Jericho, Brandi, the Librarians – anyone would be an improvement at this point.

Also, what does this say about Impact that their world champion is about to sign with WWE? I don’t recall this ever happening to them with Styles, or Sting, or Jeff Hardy, or Samoa Joe, or Bobby Roode, or even Austin Aries! And Aries is someone who is also considered a headache to work with.

You could tell this was going to be the case when you could see the AEW fanboys liking posts talking about her behaviour as an excuse not to bring in her. It’s probably more than she’d overshadow everyone else and they can’t compete with WWE’s offers, but hey. Might as well pretend it is for moral reasons, even if those reasons are bullshit because a good coach could help manage that sort of behaviour.
