Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing what I would call at this point a could be rivalry. Who you suppose? Simple, Daniel Bryan and The Miz. These two have a history and it goes back 4 years now. It all starts with NXT and we all know about their United States title feud. Honestly, when it was all going down I thought Miz made the perfect nemesis to Bryan. How creatively their hate was brewing on NXT. Miz was the perfect douche bag to Daniel Bryan and then add in Michael Cole to the mix and you knew you had a feud going. Miz has fallen off and I would blame that on the face turn. Bryan has gone to great heights. Miz has his "Really" line. Although the "Really" line isn't hot as the "Yes" chants it would set up Miz to criticize how silly these fans are for just chanting "Yes" all night long.
Even if you don't like The Miz it's hard to say that he plays a bad heel. He actually knows the role better as the heel than face. There is something about The Miz that you just love to hate. With Daniel Bryan it's obvious, he has the charisma that leads you to cheer him. Miz is no stranger to the top of the card. A heel turn against the top face right now outside of Cena wouldn't be a bad idea. Of course he doesn't defeat Bryan, but definitely sets up himself in a way that almost makes think otherwise. I am not talking about a 1 month feud either. These two need to be shown hating each other.
Miz has a ton on his resume. Granted Daniel Bryan is working his ass off and is at the top of the card, but as a heel Miz has some things he can shoot back. We all know that Miz is definitely a talking head for the WWE. Those that know, know The Miz isn't just wrestling he is promoting the WWE left and right. At least he has been doing it longer than Bryan, way longer. Miz has done a film and headlined WM with John Cena. He has done Reality Television before it was "The Thing". Miz can say he was hip before Daniel Bryan became this poser ass hipster.
Miz tells Bryan that he will always be his mentor and Bryan will always be his student. He certainly reminds Bryan that everything he has done Miz has already done it, and that he should be thanking Miz for teaching him so well that he made it to this point. Of course this is all bullshit, but Miz can certainly make these claims. Consider the fact that no one else can make these claims over Daniel Bryan due to the fact that they were not his mentor from NXT. It was Miz who broke in Bryan and Daniel Bryan took the rest from there on his own. Remember Miz was at the peak of his heeldom while mentoring Daniel Bryan on NXT.
I would even take it a step further. Miz should start dating the other Bella and confuse the shit out of Daniel Bryan. This would only add to the feud. Miz would gain so much more heat and this could set up the greatest split in the Diva Division since never with The Bella Twins. It actually would make for interesting television considering Total Divas. Miz dating the other Bella twin adds fuel to a fire that burns in the American Dragon. On one hand this idea is fresh, but also reoccurring in that we have seen these two men feud before, but not for the WWE title and in such a way that I have explained.
