Hit me up with some of them good ol' cry-a-long albums. The more melodramatic, the better ;)

Some of my personal favorites:

(Basement - I Wish I Could Stay Here)

(Brand New - Deja Entendu)

(Brand New - The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me)

(Farewell - Isn't This Supposed To Be Fun?)

(Sunny Day Real Estate - How It Feels To Be Something On)

Black Parade is great, but calling it emo might be a bit much. Just a very theatrical brand of pop punk if you ask me.

Three Cheers falls more in line with standard emo-pop; much more personal, relationship-based songwriting. Also a lot quirkier.

Check out Slip by Quicksand and Listening Game by Far. Back before the times 'emo' became a dirty word.

Oh and no offence to anyone else, but MCR are fucking musical abortion.

Totally agree with Diary by SDRE.

PS, I absolutly hate The Black Parade, probably because it was such a departure from Three Cheers, which I thought had some really decent tracks. Black Parade bored the shit outa me.

My two favorite EMO-albums are:
1. Thursday Full Collapse. It felt so fresh when I first heard it back in the day. It's not just the standard chord progressions here's a band that actually experiment and do their own thing. The lyrics especially Cross out the eyes and standing on the Edge of of Summer are among the best in emo, or even all of pop/rock.

2. Coheed & Cambria Second stage turbin blade. It's basically EMO mixed with Iron Maiden/Dream Theater and it's so much fun to listen to. Nothing like the later old man's stale metal that they came to produce
