WrestleMania 26

Career Threatening Match

Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels (If Shawn Michaels loses, he must retire)

DX's implosion starts at the Royal Rumble with HBK eliminating HHH from the Royal Rumble, and then Shawn being so obsessed with Taker's streak, just when Shawn has a chance to go to Mania to end the streak by facing Taker, Triple H costs HBK the chance and Triple H can then say how Shawn has been so obsessed with the Dead Man that he has taken his eye off of what really matters that being DX. HBK then comes out and tells HHH that if he can't face Taker, he has no career left and HHH then tells HBK that if he wants his career to end that badly, that HHH will be the one to put Michaels out of his misery. Then the decree is made that if HBK loses, he must retire. HHH ends his best friend's career in a really emotional match and after the match after the 2 friends hug, it is so emotional that HHH ends up leaving the ring giving Shawn the stage to say goodbye to the WWE universe.

Streak Match (18-0 or 17-1)

Undertaker vs Sheamus

Heel Sheamus after losing his WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber is so pissed off that he decides that since he can't challenge for the WWE Championship, he is going to do something that even surpasses that, by being the first man to end Taker's undefeated streak with Sheamus being the cocky, arrogant heel who is not intimidated by Taker until Taker plays his mind games on Sheamus showing him all the victims that Taker has put away at Mania and how Sheamus will be #18, week after week Sheamus tries to show Taker he is not afraid of him but it is clear he is intimidated but Sheamus ends up attacking Taker week after week from behind and even laying out Taker with his trusty pipe, but then Taker attacking Sheamus costing him matches as well

World Heavyweight Championship

Edge vs Chris Jericho (c)

The only thing that I would re-book about this match would be Jericho going over, because I would have had Edge go over winning this match ending the Royal Rumble curse by winning the big one at that year's Mania

WWE Championship (Triple-Threat Match)

Randy Orton (c) vs Ted DiBiase vs Cody Rhodes

How I would have booked this match would be that I would have had Legacy still implode but on the grandest stage of them all but for the richest prize in our industry that being the WWE Championship with Orton winning the title inside the Elimination Chamber, but Legacy ends up turning on Orton still, with DiBiase and Rhodes being interjected into a match with Orton for the WWE Title in a Triple-Threat Match

Tag Team Match

Mr. McMahon & Batista vs. Bret Hart & John Cena

Personally this is the way that I think that they should have gone because these feuds were so intertwined with one another, that they could have come together in this match to basically make it an unprecedented tag team match as a semi-main event because of Batista & Cena's rivalry being as hot as it was, and all the history between McMahon and Bret because of the Montreal Screwjob, it would have made sense to do it this way, with Cena and Bret going over.

Money In The Bank

Jack Swagger vs Matt Hardy vs Christian vs Evan Bourne vs Kofi Kingston vs Drew McIntyre vs Kane vs MVP vs Shelton Benjamin vs Dolph Ziggler

Instead of Swagger going over in this match, I would have had Drew McIntyre the Chosen One go over in this match living up to his moniker and with that begins McIntyre's push towards the main event because I feel that Swagger winning, he wasn't ready for it, and even if I didn't chose McIntyre, I would have wanted Christian to win it here, but McIntyre should have won this.

Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match

WWE Unified Tag Team Championship

ShoMiz (c) vs John Morrison & R-Truth vs Hart Dynasty vs Cryme Tyme

I would have had ShoMiz defend their WWE Unified Tag Team Championship against not only Morrison & Truth but also against Hart Dynasty and Cryme Tyme in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match with Hart Dynasty going over considering their Uncle Bret was on the card as well

Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk (If Rey Mysterio loses, he has to unmask but if CM Punk loses, he has to shave his hair)

To up the stakes here at Mania I would have added these stipulations into their match with Rey winning and then Punk getting his head shaved and Rey not having to join the SES, but also this feud was so personal too, so I wouldn't change anything about it at all

I would change some main events:

WM8: Flair(c) vs Hogan -winner: Hogan

WM10: Luger(c) vs Bret -winner: Bret (Bret vs Yoko was horrible. I'd have Luger beat Yoko and face Bret in the main event)

WM2000: HHH(c) vs Rock -winner: Rock (The 4-way sucked. Backlash 2000 main event should have taken place instead)

WM27: Orton(c) vs Cena -winner: Cena (Rock/Cena face-off at the end of the match)
there was an old thread about re booking a wrestlemania and i had a bunch of them i re did. I was wondering if anybody can find that thread?
Wrestlemania 22:

1. Kane & Big Show (c) vs Carlito & Chris Masters (World Tag Team Titles) - Winner: Kane & Big Show
2. Shelton Benjamin/Ric Flair/Finlay/Bobby Lashley/RVD/Mark Henry/Matt Hardy/William Regal (Money in the Bank) - Winner: Rob Van Dam
3. JBL vs Booker T (c) vs Chavo Guerrero (US Championship) - Winner: JBL
4. Kurt Angle vs Rey Mysterio (#1 Contender Match for the World Heavyweight Championship) - Winner: Rey Mysterio
5. Trish Stratus (c) vs Mickie James (Women's Championship) - Winner: Mickie James
6. Eddie Guerrero (Smackdown) vs Shawn Michaels (Raw) (Interpromotional Match) - Winner: Eddie Guerrero
7. Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon (Grudge Match) - Winner: Bret Hart
8. The Undertaker vs Chris Benoit (The Streak) - Winner: Undertaker
9. Edge vs Mick Foley (Hardcore Match) - Winner: Edge
10. Batista (c) vs Randy Orton (World Heavyweight Championship) - Winner: Batista
11. John Cena (c) vs Triple H (WWE Championship) - Winner: John Cena
12. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Hulk Hogan (Legend vs Legend) - Winner: Stone Cold

Would have been the greatest Wrestlemania ever and a lot of these matches were actually in the plans but for one reason or another, they never happened. (egos, deaths, injuries)

World Heavyweight Championship

Edge (c) vs John Cena vs Randy Orton (2009 Royal Rumble Winner)

How this match-up would be set up would be that Edge would still come into this match as the World Heavyweight Champion just like how he did in real life, and Orton instead of HHH he chooses Edge as his WrestleMania decision. Why Orton chooses Edge is because Orton knows he can beat Edge and that he was the better superstar in Rated RKO, and that Vickie will not help him at Mania and nothing will stop him from achieving his "legacy". But Cena interrupts by somehow interjecting himself into this match, just like how he did in real life, and it ends up a Triple-Threat Match but with Orton replacing Big Show.

Orton wins the title here

WWE Championship (Title vs. Streak) (17-0 or 16-1)

Triple H (c) vs. The Undertaker

How this match up would be set up is that since Orton chose Edge, that leaves HHH without an opponent and HHH is addressing this until he is interrupted by Big Show who says he wants HHH at Mania, but then the lights go out and the gong is heard, the lights come back on, and Taker is in the ring. He says that he wants the WWE Title as well, and that if he has to go through Big Show to do it, he will. A #1 Contender's Match is made, and Taker wins that. Then after the match HHH comes into the ring, and HHH & Taker stare down until Taker Chokeslams HHH and leaves him laying in the ring. Then HHH the next week plays mind games with Taker saying he won't be intimidated by Taker, and that even though he lost at Mania to Taker before, this time will be different because he is such a different man now and that he will beat The Undertaker and end his Streak. The build-up would be so awesome here.

Undertaker wins this in a lengthy bout

Chris Jericho vs. "Returning Legend" (Hulk Hogan)

How this match would be set up would be that Jericho is running down the legends and how he has beaten everybody that there is to beat, and that he dares any legend to come out here and challenge him to a match at Mania. REAL AMERICAN hits and Hogan comes out and he says that he heard what Jericho said, and that he will face Jericho at Mania. Jericho then attacks Hogan until Hogan turns it around and lays out Jericho with his signature Leg Drop, and the match-up is set for the 25th Anniversary of Mania

Hogan wins this

Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy (Last Man Standing)

The only difference in their match instead of it being Extreme Rules, it will be a Last Man Standing Match, and I wouldn't change the outcome of the match at all

Matt wins this match

Shawn Michaels vs Rey Mysterio

How this match up would be set up would be that it would be a feud basically based on respect, and this is like a dream match up everyone would want to see, but never got to see, and if it had happened at Mania 25, it would have been epic

Rey wins this match

MITB

Christian vs Punk vs Kofi Kingston vs MVP vs Shelton Benjamin vs Kane vs Big Show vs Mark Henry

The only thing that I would change about Money In The Bank is that Big Show would replace Finlay in this match-up, and as for who wins the briefcase, instead of Punk winning it, Christian should have won it and if he did, Christian would have cashed in and became champion in 2009 in which he should have

WWE Unified Tag Team Championship

Miz & Morrison (World Tag Team Champions) (c) vs Carlito & Primo (WWE Tag Team Champions) (c)

This match-up should have opened up the PPV, and instead of Carlito & Primo winning, it should have been Miz & Morrison winning this match

ECW Championship

Jack Swagger (c) vs Finlay

This match should have happened at Mania 25, and if it had, then Swagger should have won because then it would elevate him even more

Miss WrestleMania

This match-up should have been set up for Beth Phoenix to win, but they should have included divas from the past in this battle royal too

WrestleMania 21

Money In The Bank

Edge vs Jericho vs Shelton Benjamin vs Christian vs Booker T vs Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio vs Carlito Caribbean Cool

Instead of making it a RAW exclusive match, I would make it the first-ever Money In The Bank Ladder Match an inter-promotional match-up and instead of it being 6 men, I would make it 8 men Edge (RAW), Jericho (RAW), Shelton Benjamin (RAW), and Christian (RAW) and representing Smackdown would be Booker T (SD), Eddie Guerrero (SD), Rey Mysterio (SD), and Carlito Caribbean Cool (SD). I would have Edge win the first-ever MITB match with 8 men instead of 6.

Streak Match (13-0 or 12-1)

Undertaker vs. Chris Benoit

I think that the 2 of them if they were to face each other and especially at WrestleMania 21, they would have put on a good match and with Benoit challenging the Streak, Benoit would have made a great streak opponent for Undertaker in that this match would be sort of like HBK/Taker from Mania 25 in terms of build-up with Benoit and Taker, and that Benoit says that he will beat The Undertaker and that he will make him tap out, and that he is not intimidated and Taker does his best to intimidate Benoit and he gets to Benoit but Benoit is also inside of Taker's head too. Taker would win this in a lengthy hard fought bout.

Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels

I wouldn't change anything about this feud, it was perfect at the time, and Angle would still go over HBK in this match, this match is probably one of the best Mania matches of all time in terms of build-up and its overall performance.

Big Show vs Kane

Instead of what we had with Big Show/Akebono at Mania 21, I would have had Kane and Big Show go up against each other at Mania 21 in a Battle of the Giants, King Kong that being Big Show goes up against Godzilla Kane and not only would bragging rights be on the line but also brand supremacy in the process and I would have had Kane turn heel for this, and Big Show be the face for this match and it would be an inter-promotional match-up with Kane representing RAW and Big Show representing Smackdown. I would have Kane go over.

WWE Championship

JBL (c) vs John Cena

I wouldn't change anything about this match-up at all, the build-up was actually pretty good, I thought, and I would still have Cena go over JBL in this match.

WWE Women's Championship

Trish Stratus (c) vs Christy Hemme w/Lita

I wouldn't change anything about this match-up at all except that I would have had Christy Hemme go over Trish at Mania with Trish putting her over, at least that way Christy she could have had a reign as Women's Champion, and her & Trish & Lita could have had a Triple-Threat Match for the WWE Women's Championship at some point.

World Heavyweight Championship (Triple-Threat Match)

Triple H (c) vs Batista (2005 Royal Rumble Match winner) vs Randy Orton

Then we would see the implosion of Evolution as we know it on the grandest stage of them all, and I would have added Orton into the mix and we get to see 3 former Evolution members go at it, with HHH trying to get Batista to go over to SD and Batista turns on HHH & Flair, but then Orton somehow gets into the match by strong-arming his way in it, and Orton in this match he wouldn't be a heel or a face as Orton would be more of a tweener in this match. Batista still goes over in this match by pinning HHH, to set up a feud with him & Orton for the title with Orton turning heel in the process.

WRESTLEMANIA X-8: WWF VS. WCW THE FINAL CONFLICT

Had the WCW Invasion been able to utilize the proper talents, this is what I would have had it build to.

And no, I wouldn't have had Shane McMahon buy the company. I wouldn't have had them merge with ECW (I probably would have saved the ECW stuff for after the WCW Invasion, lime immediately after). And I certainly would never have had Austin turn heel to lead the WCW Faction. If anybody from WWF was going to join the WCW group, it would have been someone like Big Show who was a World Champ over there or Chris Jericho whose character really came to live over in WCW.

I will also try to stay as realistic as possible as talents like Chris Benoit, Scott Steiner, & a couple of others were unavailable due to injuries and guys like Savage & Bret were already long retired by this point.

Matches are also in reverse order from Main Event to Opening Bout.

WWF CHAMPION VS. WCW CHAMPION: AN UNDISPUTED CHAMPION TO BE CROWNED
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin (WWF) Vs. Goldberg (WCW)
- Obviously this would have been a huge match. The two poster boys for the two major companies while they were both red hot in 1998. Who didn't want to see this match? Not saying it would have been a mat classic, but it would have had a big match feel for sure. Also, without the ill advised Austin heel turn (and hopefully without the creation of the What chants), Austin's character would have still been red hot and going into one of his most anticipated showdowns.
Austin wins in 15min

Music Act Break

TEAM WWF VS. TEAM WCW: 5 VS. 5 TAG TEAM MATCH
Team WWF (Captain Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, Kane, Christian, & a Mystery Partner) w/Vince McMahon
Vs. Team WCW (Captain Diamond Dallas Page, The Giant, Mike Awesome, Lance Storm, & Raven) w/Eric Bischoff
- The winning faction here secures full ownership of the complete Wrestling Federation, either Vince McMahon or Eric Bischoff. I have most of the big stars off elsewhere on this card, so this is a chance to showcase the midcard guys like Awesome, Storm, & Christian, who probably normally wouldn't have much to do. I have DDP as captain because, well, he is a big WCW icon. I would have The Big Show defect to WCW and become The Giant once again, and because of that, other former WCW stars within the WWF are under suspicion and a lot of it is placed on Jericho prior to this match taking place. Raven also defects from WWF to WCW where he had greater success. And who is the mystery partner for Team WWF? Well I know he debuted with the company in 2001 as part of the ECW faction, but since I am not doing that in my version, the debut never takes place. The obvious answer is none other than ROB-VAN-DAM! Have him debut at Wrestlemania and make a HUGE impact in the match to showcase what he brings to the company on a grand stage.
Team WWF wins in 15min

WWF VS. WCW BIKINI CONTEST
Trish Stratus, Terri Runnels, Stacy Keibler, & Torrie Wilson
- SMUT! TITS! ASSES!!! That's all we got here! Just use this to kill time and buffer the main events.

ICON VS. ICON
The Rock Vs. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan
- Don't change a thing about this. This is the one thing from this Wrestlemania that was perfect. I would have utilized the nWo in the Invasion storyline, possibly as a secret weapon of WCW's or an independent faction altogether, but the end game of Hogan Vs. Rock would have been the same.
Rock wins in 16min

THE DEADMAN VS. THE ENIGMA
The Undertaker Vs. Sting
w/Ric Flair as Guest Enforcer
- THIS would have been the PERFECT time to do Sting Vs. Taker. Taker was going into his 10th Mania here, and Sting would have been an outstanding opponent for him. The Flair stuff was good, but Flair was over the hill by that point. So much so that him beating Taker would have been viewed as an idiotic move. I would have much rather seen this encounter, especially because Undertaker was doing The American Bad Ass schtick at the time. Who better to draw The Dead Man out of Undertaker than the mysterious Crow Sting? I can just picture Undertaker having a match on Raw one week in mid 2001 and Sting just shows up in the crowd and in full Crow gear just to stay silent and point his bat at Taker. The segments for this feud would be worth it in of itself (still would be quite honestly). And no, I don't have Flair wrestling on htis card because quite honestly, he looked ancient even by this point. He wasn't incapable in the ring, but it was still weird to watch. So a guy with a ton of history with Sting, I'd have him as the law and order of this match just to add some flavor to it.
Undertaker wins to go 10-0 in 18min

Music Act Break

D-GENERATION X VS. THE OUTSIDERS: STREETFIGHT
Triple H & Shawn Michaels Vs. Kevin Nash & Scott Hall
- Yeah, I am going to use Shawn Michaels here. It is a bit of a stretch BUT he did come back later that year and I am sure they would have used him had the Invasion angle gone all the way to Wrestlemania. It would have been a natural thing to do to sort of do a battle of the Kliq and bringing back both Shawn Michaels & Triple H (from his quad injury) and putting them together at Wrestlemania would have been HUGE for this angle. Also, given the history of these four men and the two factions, it is just a natural fit.
DX wins in 13min

WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP
Lita Vs. Jazz
- Well WCW didn't really have any girls outside of the hot non wrestling blondes like Torrie Wilson & Stacy Keibler. So this is all I got here. As for Trish, honestly, she wasn't quite the polished talent she would eventually turn into yet. She was getting there, but there was still room for improvement.

TAG TEAM TURMOIL MATCH FOR UNIFIED WWF/WCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
The Hardy Boyz Vs. The Dudley Boyz Vs. The APA Vs. Harlem Heat Vs. Kronik Vs. The Natural Born Thrillers
- I probably would have burned through all the big tag team pairings by this point. Quite honestly, I know they had a terrible match with Taker & Kane at a PPV in Fall 01, but I really liked Kronik and I probably would have given them another chance. At their best, they could have done some cool stuff with the APA, who they are similar to, or the Hardys who they can throw around. And yes, I would have been tempted to bring in Booker T as part of Harlem Heat. To me, I'd rather have him showcased as part of what he was best known for rather than being brought in as the guy that was champion when the company died a horrible death. Plus, they and The Outsiders & The Steiners (who I can't use) were the only major tag teams WCW had in the 90s that had significant runs, so I would have gone that route. And you got these six teams going at it for the gold. What is wrong with that?
Since I have WWF almost sweeping this show, lets give the win here to Harlem Heat in 30min

INTERCONTINENTAL & UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP: UNIFICATION MATCH
Edge (IC) Vs. Mr. Perfect (US)
- I don't understand how the WWF can get Curt Hennig back on the roster and then do nothing with him. He was still in great shape, could still go, and I would have loved to see him work with someone like Edge who quite honestly deserved a bigger match than a feud over a shampoo commercial.

CRUISERWEIGHT BATTLE ROYAL FOR UNIFIED LHW/CW CHAMPIONSHIPS
Rey Mysterio Jr. Vs. Psichosis Vs. Juventud Guerrera Vs. Chavo Guerrero Vs. Syxx-Pac Vs. Justin Credible Vs. Stevie Richards Vs. Scotty Too Hotty Vs. Billy Kidman Vs. The Hurricane
- Obviously the WCW Faction would pretty much dominate this match as there wasn't that much to work with on the WWF side of things, but just let the high flyer types go crazy in there. This would be the opener.
Mysterio wins in 13min

PRESHOW SUNDAY NIGHT HEAT MATCH: EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP
Williams Regal -c- Vs. Kanyon
- I always liked Kanyon and I feel bad that his life & career turned out the way it did. This card is way loaded as it is, so not much room for the Euro title on the main card, BUT it would make a nice preshow match, no? Let them just have a solid match with Kanyon winning the Euro title to shift the momentum to WCW prior to the show.
Kanyon wins in 7min

Now part of what was unavoidable here is that the WWF does pretty much sweep all the big matches, pretty much out of necessity. I have this as the end of the WCW Invasion (with the ECW Invasion starting up being the major angle the next night on Raw, led by Paul Heyman & his new crown jewel Brock Lesnar) so because it is the end, WWF has to go over big here.
