I have an idea for a new rating on that option. How about a 0 stars option for posts that are so beyond terrible.

It could be used like that. But I saw a post that doesn't deserve any stars. And I couldn't leave it blank.

0 stars? It's called not voting.

1 star means the worst.
5 stars means the best.
0 stars means no votes.

Rating threads is even more worthless than rep, in my opinion. It's got a massive flaw that even the rep system doesn't have.
