Three good matchups this Vortex. Should be fun.

Those detailed thoughts though. Will do these and hopefully get some RP thought/review batches up later. I'll be as honest as I can in them, so if I say something that you wouldn't agree on, argue it with me, make me see it from your point of view.

Television Title Match
Bruce Thorn Jr.(C) Vs Austin Angel

If this isn't booked strong as match of the night i'm rioting. This has the potential to be the top match on the show, it just needs to be booked to perfection. Austin Angel hits a big move, BtJ hit's a big move, both men down, count of five, both men up, that sort of thing.

Overall for winners, BtJ has all the momentum in the known galaxy right now, ignoring the ending of that match last show. That ending was ugh, I wasn't a fan. Austin Angel can and has the perfect chance to take this, but BtJ is building up to something big in his RP's. Let's go BtJ, don't let me down.

Singles Match
William Gust vs. Flexx Palumbo

Mhm...

I have no idea who either of you are from an in character perspective, none of you have done anything in character to solidify yourself as the top guy yet. Both Flexx and William are jobbers at this point, no offence to you both as writers because you are both great writers. Both of your characters are on a loosing streak from what I can tell, much like I was when I first joined PWC. It took me a year to get my first official pinfall victory.

So from the perspective of a wrestling fan, this is a match against jobbers and that really, badly turns me off from this match. From my own perspective it could be alright, I doubt it will be main event level because again, neither Gust or Flexx have done anything to stick in my mind and solidify themselves as the top dog.

I can't pick a winner from this, I wish you both the best and it will be close. It is a match between jobbers from that in character perspective, and it's something I personally hate and want every single person in the known world to avoid but again, this could be good and I have a feeling will be good. Both men will gain the momentum from this, both men will advance to the legacy championship. This is the perfect chance for both of you to solidify yourselves as the top dogs, as a force to be reckoned with.

Singles Match
La Cara De La Fantasma vs. Shadow

La Cara De La Fantasma has the heel heat working for him. He very nearly killed me in our last match, in the Prometheus bolt match he near enough concussed me on a car. He might not be up there on wins, but he's standing at the back of the queue just building his heel heat, which is something I love about his booking.

Shadow.. I don't know. I can't make my mind up on Shadow yet, he's sort of a weird thing that really needs to sort his agent out and get on those Nero bucks from what I can tell. I don't get the point of his promo last show, and I think that might be influencing my decision slightly, and for that I apologize. I like the idea of Shadow, but I don't see it sticking around because he's a face with too many heel characteristics to be a face. If he was a set, I wouldn't mind as much, but this heel face thing is strange, like what I tried when I first joined and now want to burn in a small pit in hell somewhere.

I give it to Cara, close as it will be.

Singles Match
Daiko vs Crowley

Another match of the night contender, another match that will make me riot like Daiko reviewing a show if it isn't booked strong. Crowley is over, he's a mental guy who's over. Daiko is liable of pulling someone's arms from their body because he got screwed twice now for the TV title. This match has everything going for it, although if I am right there's some sort of odd heel vs heel thing here? Unless one of them turned and I clearly haven't noticed.

Daiko is a great writer, capable of building a story off anything. I could give him a stone I found at school and he'd come back with a novel about this stone. He's adaptable, and he will need to adapt because Crowley has a very set writing style that I think is going to cause Daiko's downfall in this round.

Crowley, rooted for you since day one. You scare me, your rp's actually scare me at times. Again, a great writer and one with a very set style that wins you matches. If you find something that works, take it and run with it like you have. This is going to be close, I will admit it. Even though you have this style, Daiko may be able to "Flexx" around it.

Crowley for the win, Daiko to tear his arms from his body after.

Singles Match
Dr.Nero Vs. Marcus Kendall

Marcus Kendall, lost two matches since joining PWC last year? A great writer in L-Dopa or whatever that forum name is. L-Dopa can see a project or a storyline through, that's why I suggested before that he's the perfect guy for creative. Also, he can rap, that may or may not influence any decision I make.

Dr.Nero is a mental doctor, I want to see him come to the ring with a scalpel at least once before one of us leaves PWC. Dr.Nero scares the heck out of me, and Lari is one of the best writers around here. One of the best, but I believe that L-Dopa will prove to us this round that he's the better one.

May the best man win boys.

Hi RPers! As you saw in the Rumour thread, we have two episodes of qualifying matches. If you weren't booked on this show, you'll be on the next. This was done because a couple of guys needed the week off and so we spread it out. It would be great for those who know they are booked on the second show to have a think about their next RP, because they'll be up soon.

These next three shows have been planned out better so creative can pump out three shows very quickly as we know the wait for shows recently hasn't been ideal. RPers get a deadline, creative gets a deadline. If an extension is asked for the creative team also gets that extra time. So guys on Episode 3 if you could look at your RPs also that would be awesome, and we'll do our rootin' tootin'-est to bring you a Daiko worthy 5/10 show lightening quick.

Television Title Match
Bruce Thorn Jr.(C) Vs Austin Angel

BTJ wins. AA is building to something with his RPs but I still think BTJ is set for a monstrous run with the TV title. Weirdly enough, I've never faced either of these men in singles action before.

Singles Match
William Gust vs. Flexx Palumbo

Gust's debut RP wasn't bad but too short and nothing much happened. If he expands on that, he'd be a decent player in the fed. Pulling for Flexx here though. Yay Flexx.

Singles Match
La Cara De La Fantasma vs. Shadow

Shadow is wildly inconsistent. He can be very good, while other times he's just there. At his best, I think he can beat La Cara but on an average, I'd say La Cara pulls out the W. Cero Miedo.

Singles Match
Daiko vs Crowley

2 shows where Daiko came so close and didn't win. There's nobody more hungry in PWC atm. All his hard work HAS to payoff here I believe. This should be the closest encounter of the night imo. Wouldn't surprise me if Crowley won at all.

Singles Match
Dr.Nero Vs. Marcus Kendall

Dr Nero should take this, but Kendall's on a roll, so I'd advise Lari to put out an excellent RP, otherwise Kendall gets the biggest win of his career. I like the story arcs of both characters right now, so look forward to reading both RPs.

Television Title Match
Bruce Thorn Jr.(C) Vs Austin Angel

I hate to pick a winner here, but Bruce Thorn Jr. looks to be unstoppable. I can see him going on a tear with the TV title lasting multiple PPV cycles. I am not counting out AA though, but he has a tough task on hand.

Singles Match
William Gust vs. Flexx Palumbo

Flexx is life.

Singles Match
La Cara De La Fantasma vs. Shadow

Good match up here. Both men have been solid since joining the PWC, but I give the advantage to La Cara De La Fantasma.

Singles Match
Daiko vs Crowley

I'm going to go with a Daiko. His last couple of showings have been fantastic, but luck hasn't been on his side. I expect that to change this round.

Singles Match
Dr.Nero Vs. Marcus Kendall

Hell of a match up. I go with Nero because he has the experience in the big matches.

Dr. Nero
Vortex Season 2 Ep 2

Fire

Sweat drips from Nero’s forehead as he sits and contemplates what has transpired in the last few weeks, days, hours... He has plenty of time to do so. The two soldiers sitting across from him in the helicopter cargo hold aren’t the talkative types. Neither is Nero. He pulls at the tight seatbelt tying him securely to the bench. He feels stifled as the belt scrapes against his neck. It forces him for the umpteenth time to rub the stubble on his head where his hair used to be. Things have changed and it’s not just the new haircut.

He blocks out the roaring of the transport helicopter’s engines to assess his latest game of chess. In his mind he moves the chess pieces. Nero takes back the Legacy title. Ivory takes Hammerpunch. Nero takes Ivory. Nero is dual Champion.

His alliance with Elric is a simple one. Like the stock market, who will be the first to cash out after gaining the most? The trick will be to use Elric to better his position, yet to ensure Elric does not attack him first once they have accomplish their goal. Nero knows that Elric is of course playing the same game, so the time to cash out will come quicker and yield probably less benefits as they both will want. Ellie will be the key to Nero winning his game with Elric. Moving the Queen offensively in this particular chess match will be critical to victory here.

Then there is Marcus Kendall. Literally minutes before being escorted to the secret Government airbase, Nero was informed that he will be placed in an innovative tournament to crown a new Legacy Champion. This all coming about due to his new “partner” putting the Legacy Champion Cheri Hayven on the shelf. The first hurdle though in this chess game is Kendall.

Nero has heard the praise and adulation this man is receiving amongst the other wrestlers. Apparently he gets better after every fight. And his last big fight was the barbaric Ultra violence match. Kendall used weapons, he used his environment, and to win was willing to put his enemy through a table engulfed in fire...

Fire. The creature that could have devoured Ellie and himself only a few short weeks ago. Fire, the beast that took the life of the only woman he ever loved. That fire, which has finally put him here, in the bowels of this mechanical flying dragon, headed who knows where, to carry out the behest of a corrupt Government. A Government which has blackmailed him into doing its bidding. Do they really want to play with this fire? He’s certain Kendall will not...

8 hours earlier...

Two black SUVs pull up in the former Champion of the World Dr Nero’s Seattle driveway. Men in black suits and sunglasses knock on his door. Ellie is forced to let them in. Nero is shown several forms of identification before being informed that he is to accompany them immediately.

Later, in a small bright room with a giant mirror in its centre, Nero is left handcuffed to a metal table. After waiting for what seemed like an age and Nero demanding a lawyer, two different men, almost identical to those who have brought him in, appear. They then reveal they know everything...

How Nero was able to bargain his way out of jail. The warden of the prison has been arrested. How he tried to bring the man he attacked, out of his coma, only to accidentally kill him in the process. How the man’s daughter committed arson and in the process was killed, and that Nero was there when it happened. They know it all.

Nero sits silently, as he always has done. Just like in his former life as a surgeon, he stays calm, stoic, and unresponsive. The agent to Nero’s left leans in and almost with a whisper says they have enough to put him away for two lifetimes AND his pretty little sidekick...

Nero’s eyes finally move, reflecting the fire that consumed Zoe Manfree. The look is enough to rattle the hardline g-man and he takes a step back. The other agent though takes the lead and tells Nero that they have a deal for him. Nero’s eyes move back to their former position, the living statue listens to what is being said. Only for him to be thinking that he cannot return to prison and will do anything to avoid it...

The second g-man explains that if Nero was to do something for them then they would wipe the slate clean, and he can “go back to rolling around with other men in their underwear.”

“There is a major deal about to happen between Governments. One you don’t need to know the details of. It’s going to happen at a place, you don’t need to know about and ....”

“Get to the point...” Nero finally breaks his silence. Nero’s fiery eyes now look at the second agent which brings a smile to his face.

“Good, you’re paying attention. I’ll get to the point Doctor. Here’s the short and tall of it. We need you to fight someone on behalf of the United States of America. Losing is not an option. You were chosen because from what we’ve seen, you are one of the very best fighters in the world”

“Why don’t you ask Hammerpunch, he’s the champ now, and he’s Mr. U.S.A. Who better to be your Chuck Norris hero.”...

“Doctor Nero, we don’t want some little goody two shoes. We want someone who shows no remorse, will win at all costs, is a goddamn killer and is smart enough to keep his mouth shut. Besides you’re the one with two possible murder charges hanging over your head plus a dozen more offences that I’m too bored to list. You don’t want the deal, I’ll hand you over to the F.B.I.”

Nero slouches in his chair. He looks at the handcuffs slapped around his wrists and then around the small room he’s locked in. He answers with a sly smile.

“Looks like I have no choice... who do I have to fight to get out of here?”

10 hours later...

Nero is used to assessing his opponents before a match. He has always studied tapes and brought in sparring partners with similar styles to train and prepare. He leaves nothing to chance. The suits have given him the most detailed intel on his opponent he has seen. He will have to remember to get Ellie to upgrade his research team. That is if he gets out of this alive.

Using an iPad he reads the history of the man he is going to fight. He watches blurry videos of fights the man has been involved in and how he seems to be impervious to pain. He also reads that he is some sort of war criminal, a butcher of men, a real life monster.

Nero smirks to himself... for his sins, he has been sent to meet the devil...

Alarms and red lights suddenly erupt and the soldiers sitting in front of Nero come alive. The helicopter seems to have reached its destination, and its precious cargo is ready to be delivered.

The soldier walks over to Nero and starts uncoupling his harness. He starts yelling so Nero can hear him.

“Don’t worry Nero; we’ll get you back in time so you can be on your next episode of the television show hahaha.

That’s if you get the job done of course. They say this man’s been shot a dozen times and no one yet has been able to kill him. I hope you’re up for it pretty boy!”

The God Complex isn’t used to someone not thinking he was the favourite in a fight. He replies in kind to the soldier with a forearm shot to the side of his head! The soldier’s helmet protects him from the blow, but as he shakes off the shock he is floored by a brutal jumping knee strike from the good Doctor! The other soldier raises his weapon only for him to be ordered to stand down.

Nero and the soldier look up the cargo bay, and emerging from the cockpit is one of the agents that set the deal.

“Bravo Doctor, this is exactly why you were picked for this. Now let’s get this over with, I’ve got a golf game to get to...”

Now...

The ring is made up of a few dozen blood thirsty men screaming and shouting. They are not quite Asian looking, or middle eastern. The smell of blood, sweat and body odour mask whatever may give away exactly where he is. The rabid onlookers are passing around unrecognisable currency while what’s left of the last fighter gets dragged by his ankles through the crowd.

Up in the stands, the agent sits down next to someone sitting in the shadows. Nero notices them exchange briefcases and then points down to ring made of humanity. The man in the shadows seems oddly familiar to Nero, even more so when he points directly at the “good” Doctor. The shouting and screaming get louder as the man Nero is to fight is announced. The roars are deafening in the hot, smoky and confined space, as the man in the surgeon’s files walks into view.

The files stated that this monster stood almost seven feet tall, but only now does Nero realise how big this man truly is. The crowd gets even louder as this behemoth raises his arms in the air. This gets the applause of the man in the shadows. Hot breathe, like an animal’s, spews out of him as he looks over at the former PWC World Champion. A small man, seemingly some sort of referee comes out of nowhere and walks over to the Doctor.

“No pinfalls here Yankee. You want win, you gots ta knock him out or kill him. Understand?”

The man walks off before Nero has a chance to answer. It matters not. He’s here to avoid incarceration by any means, but like the old saying goes, out of the frying pan and into the fire...

But it will be the fire that burns inside of him that Nero is most scared of. He is always in control. Cold calculating, manipulative. Now he cannot hold back. The rage, the fire that brought him to where he is. The fire inside his soul that made him attack his mentor, that spiralled his life to where he must now face this demon, is the thing that will save him.

The little man points at both Nero and the gargantuan juggernaut and the fight begins. The men scream and yell as the monster charges straight at Nero. Nero avoids the first sequence of blows, but the monster is much faster than a man his size should allow. Nero hits a leg kick, which was like kicking a tree stump and now he has a benchmark. The monster comes again and Nero allows him to get close. He avoids the lightning like shots again and lays in a big European uppercut! The monster steps back providing that short space for Nero to dropkick the knee.

The seven foot tall monster doesn’t go off his feet, but he does roar in pain. Nero then chop blocks the same knee from behind and the creature falls to one leg. Nero has chopped him down. The six foot six former Champion of the World is now face to face and unleashes his fire. Punch after punch after punch like atom bombs land in the face of the deformed giant . The monster refuses to fall, so his face continues to be struck with devastating blows!

Nero is pushed off and then hit with such force he is flung into the crowd knocking down almost a dozen men in the process! The monster than grabs Nero by his throat and picks him up over his head. Nero though stabs at the creature’s eyes, slips out the back and locks in the half-nelson suplex- The Paralyser!!!! The monster lands on his skull on the concrete floor!

Nero grabs his lower back. Throwing a man that size has hurt him, but the pain must be ignored. If the beast man cannot be put down by a bullet, Nero’s fire will have to be burn this dragon to the ground! A flying knee strike breaks the beast’s nose which sets up the Anaesthesia sleeper hold. Nero looks to put the animal to sleep. The creature struggles, writhes wildly and he runs into the crowd, looking to knock Nero off... But the God Complex’s grip is locked in like a pitbull’s jaw.

As the giant killing machine fades, the rabid men can’t believe it and the warehouse of sorts seems to go silent. Now this is Nero’s chance. The monster is dazed, almost unconscious, but Nero cannot take any chances. He steps in behind the beast and gets his hands in under the arms of the beast. Then with as much momentum as he can, he lifts the man up and delivers Time of Death!!!!

The seven feet tall horror and all his body weight lands directly on top of his head and neck. The move drives the skull into the concrete to finish the contest! The warehouse has gone silent and the man in the shadows stands up in disbelief! Soldiers rush in and quickly usher Nero out of the arena. He looks over his shoulder as the man in the shadows walks off revealing his face in the light only for a few seconds...

“Was that???... no.... surely not...” Nero thinks to himself as he is quickly led to the already whirling helicopter. The agent moves swiftly behind them as the door closes and they lift off.

“Well done Doctor, looks like I’ll get to my golf game after all.”

“I know I’m not meant to ask questions, but that man you were talking to... was that Muhammad Islami???”

“That’s right Nero... you’re not meant to ask questions. Now clean yourself up, you’ve got the stench of that thing’s blood all over you.”

Nero grabs a towel and wipes the blood and sweat off his arms. He is heading home now. Just like the blood and sweat on his skin, so too is his sinful past now wiped away. There is nothing left to hold him back now. His plan will proceed. First he will win the Legacy title back and become its first two-time Champion. He will then ensure Ivory takes the belt from Hammerpunch, and then he will take the Championship from Ivory.

But first Marcus Kendall... He has been almost as outspoken as Nero was against the PWC office. He is hungry, he is vicious, and he is everything Nero was. But now Nero is more. The Doctor has evolved, he has felt failure, he has felt pain, he has held back... but no more and it will be Kendall who will be the first person in PWC to feel the full ferocity of Nero’s now unleashed fire.

There was a moon, but its face was veiled by the leaden clouds; and its light, dissipated through the murky air, creating that kind of darkness which gives a somber aspect to the landscape than when it is wholly obscured.

The only cabin in sight lay in the midst of a desolate clearing, which, though completely walled round by the forest of firs from whose depths savages wolves sink their fangs in bloody flesh. The ground of the forest rumbled, shaking violently as dark clouds quickly gathered overhead. Enormous bolts of lightning streaked across the sky, illuminated like massive spider webs reaching toward the ground. Distant peals of thunder boomed in response to the raw light piercing through the air. A flock of cawing crows burst from the trees turning the sky black for a brief instant as they perch in a row on the roof. The blackness of their eyes that seemed to go on forever is easily disrupted by the first drops of rain splattered against their black feathers with metallic blue gloss. The heavy drops travel miles through the sky to contact the windows in splattering fatal kisses. The windows blur with crystal water, smeared, disturbs the images of the world outside they frame. Peering through the window, there is a blur of glow light and images coming from the cabin flashing faster and faster. Inside, candle lights flicked on and the entire room glowed with them, shadows leaping and dancing, soft yellow light spilling over everything. The light of the candles flashed upon the body of an attractive woman painting on a blank canvas, and on a tenebrous man in a leather jacket sitting in front of a chess-board tracing, studying her movements just like every piece of the game. Whilst Invocation op #2 by Gustav Holst played in vinyl can be hear in the background.

The sublime and grotesque to me were part of her aesthetic, were part of what she was conveying to the world, that people are beautiful and grotesque, that people are poignant and tragic, that they had big interior lives. She gave them big interior lives. She saw the lives in them that even they did not recognize. She was a vision of beauty, bathed in a yellowish light, her red dress accenting each soft curve of her body. She bit her bottom lip. Her golden hair flows gracefully down the soft curve of her neck, lightly touching her shoulders. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes and thought about unknown traces. She reopened her eyes and began to paint. She added more colors to her ever growing palette board and let her soul and passion direct her brush. Painting, she remembered the wonders of light and the treachery darkness. She held her brush stiff for the lines and soft for curves, then she backed away, only to return to paint yet again until the slashes of brilliant colors and unknown shapes suddenly came alive on the canvas. She moved almost trancelike, with the fever of one possessed. Her creation was spellbinding. She might not control events, but she could reveal them.

He studied the chess-board for a time he could see paths for each of his pieces. He could tell which moves would leave him open to attack and which would let him hide in plain sight like a wolf. His face showed a grin indicating that he was imagine the sound of felt-bottomed wooden pieces sliding across the chess board like muscles and bones tearing apart in a ring. Exchange after exchange. He took a black pawn wooden piece between his fingers.

The pawns are your shield, your attack and defense view them as a big structure. Those black hooded figures stripped from all empathy whose purpose in life is to serve his King – Me.

In the front row of the white army the first piece make the first move.

Opening strategy is valuable every tempo is essential, move your pieces with the same tempo as the violoncello in the background.

Just before he decided to take a white piece from the opposite army his hand stopped as a burst of thunder exploded, as lightning streaked through the sky in the background. The room lit up suddenly, and then faded out as suddenly as a firefly might.

The Knight an armored cavalry or a young and loner, yet fearless and courageous hooded figure. The ability of the knight to move 4 positions to put a King in check and at the same time threaten 7 other positions makes the Knight incredibly versatile and extremely dangerous just like that Scottish guy. The knight may have such power like a Boma Ye breaking through bone, tearing your skin, making blood gush in the board that is why is desirable to eliminate him at all costs.

He moves his pieces to set a trap and capture the checking white piece.

Trapping his legs, melting his skin with my wrists, burning in pain by my C’est La Vie. The mat will shiver softly as if a big wave of cold winds swept over it like a touch of chilling death.

Knights are completely unable to pin, another piece. Just like Daiko would in that mat. Wrestling is like chess he who is ahead of the game, wins.

His leans back in the chair and stare at the ceiling while an evil grin drawn on his face. Outside, the storm paused as if taking a breath and then charged back in, stronger than before. The light of the candles flickered under the onslaught, adding to the eerie sense of being haunted.

The board now seemed set for a quick-fire exchange of pieces. The white army brought up their kingside bishop to threaten the queen. A bishop resounded in his head.

Flashback:

Stephen didn’t know where he was. Even as a wash of familiarity filled him, as he smelled the unmistakable scent of summer grass and blooming. Stephen though was disjointed, disconnected from himself. Taking in his surroundings, he blinked as if the world would somehow come not only into focus but also into recognition. He didn’t know this place with its scents and sound or the masses that were surrounding him outside of the church. But an obscure, previously slumbering part of him did. Starting into the icy blue sky, he felt a thrill of anticipation.

A sudden smile startled him as a girl ran past him with her arms spread wide. Long, golden tresses spilled down her back and bounced as she did, with childish abandon. She leapt into the air as if attempting to take off and fly away, across the deep and haunting blue of the sky. She abruptly switched to spinning in circles to entertain herself. Her arms were still thrown outward, as if she would grab the whole world and make it hers. For some strange reason she was terribly important to him, he was connected to her in ways that were indescribable. He caught a glimpse of her now and then, it seemed the right moment to talk with her for the first time. He approached her as she stood with her back turned, his pulse sped up. His voice trailed off as she spun to face him. Suddenly the white figure of a bishop appeared upon the scene, advanced rapidly and walked between them.

“Leave my son and my family alone, you’ve already caused so much pain to us, my other son he… please go away”. He said. He tenderly embraced his son until they are no longer in view lost in the shuffle of humanity. The scene fades.

Present time:

For a moment his confidence slipped, till he glanced at his lovely daughter sitting in front of him looking intently at the chess-board. He then smiled.

The little girl bent forward and stayed there, gazing upon the marvelous game her dad was teaching her.

“Did you see Daddy? If you look closely to each one of the black pieces, you will see the entire white army and its threat reflected on the board”. She said.

I did see. He moved his queen behind his bishop, and a rook in a direct line behind to support it. Why are approaching to the endgame. The time when a King emerges to play his offense.

The White Queen.

Once I fought a queen a Songstress who sat in her throne made of verse and rhythm. Whose kingdom was a Legacy that everyone craved for.

His hostile eyes scanned each move and the few pieces still in game it was the perfect time to make his final move. Lilith kept silent, diving into her own thoughts, as if she was imagining everything her Dad just said. Maybe it could have been the idea of a magnificent square-lined kingdom, with amazing characters, that now was being projected in front of her eyes just like a vortex. Or maybe it was the meaning of that present, given by her father.

She faded away like clouds in the air like the notes of her own nocturnal concerto. Now a deadly match to crown a new King has begun.

A lone hook and his King against the white King. He positioned his hook to trap the white king in the edge of the board and his black King to secure checkmate.

Beyond a certain point when both fighters are equally matched in physical skill, speed, timing, techniques, then it comes down to a mental battle, like a game of chess. You have to invent strategy and it is ultimately the one who is psychologically, mentally superior who wins.

The little girl learned the purpose of the chess game: two armies that must protect the king and conquer it’s legacy. Someday she'll lead an army of her own. This was going to be the eternal bond between the little future queen and her King. Across the room Katherine finished her paint just in time. A portrait of a man in the shape of a demon sitting in his throne with bodies of warriors lying on the cold floor at his feet with a title of the same gold color as his crown.

The new legacy king would be me and no pawn will stop me to conquer what is mine.

The scene fades in the rain of the night.

The Road To Redemption Part 6: The Exit

The Night Of Vortex Season Two Premiere: During Vortex in a Baltimore Hotel Room

Inside the nice hotel room, sitting on the bed is Becca McKay, the fiancee of Austin Angel. As we see the TV screen, we see she's watching her future husband's match and it's near the end.

Angel sensing the end could be near and feeding his desire to beat his long-time rival and using every bit of strength he has left, kicks his legs, smashes Jacobs in the gut and wriggles himself from the mountainous man’s grip. Jacobs eyes go wide as Angel flails and scratches and fights and claws his way free. Angel slips around and hooks his arms around Jacobs’s thick neck. The daredevil locks his fingers together and hooks in the Dragon Sleeper!

The crowd erupt as Jacobs’s tries to fight his way free but Angel quickly wraps his legs around the God of War and increases the pressure. Jacobs tries to push himself towards a corner but Angel applies more pressure, forcing down with all his might and bringing the gigantic man down to one knee. Jacobs tries to lift himself up but Angel strains every muscle in his body, looking to cut off the air supply of the big man and brings Jacobs down on both knees. Jacobs is slowly fading away. He tries to push himself back up, but to no avail, Angel has the devastating submission locked in tight. Jacobs eyes begin to close and his arms go drop to his sides. Recognizing his one and only chance, Angel releases the hold and makes his way to the top rope with whatever strength his tired body will allow him. After the beating he took during the Ladder Match and the beating Jacobs just served up to him in this match, Angel almost stumbles off the top but regathers himself and looks down on his foe who’s beginning to stir. Before Jacobs can fully recover Angel leaps into the air with a thousand flash bulbs from the his adoring fans going off and comes crashing down onto Jacobs with the Fall From Heaven!

One…

Two…

It’s Over.

(Austin Angel: 12.02)

As we catch another glimpse of Becca, she claps with approval but also has a look of confusion on her face. She reaches to her left and picks up her phone off the bed, and quickly sends a text message to Austin.

Why did you show him mercy? You had Jacobs near passing out and instead of choking him out you released the hold and went for the big move. That could've costed you the match if Jacobs got up.
Becca puts her phone down and goes back to watching the rest of Vortex as the scene fades out.

Four Hours Later, About 1 AM, in a Baltimore parking lot.

After going out to a local bar to celebrate his big victory, Austin Angel climbs into the backseat of a taxi and tells the driver to take him back to the hotel. Austin now turns on his phone after leaving it off since getting to the arena many hours earlier for the show and notices the text message he got earlier from Becca.

Why did you show him mercy? You had Jacobs near passing out and instead of choking him out you released the hold and went for the big move. That could've costed you the match if Jacobs got up.
Austin looks at the text and thinks back to the match, and wonders why he did release the hold. Was it mercy? Despite everything Jacobs has done to him in the past, could he not bring himself to choke the life out of him when given the chance? Was it just a stupid moment of not thinking about victory and not wanting to show off for the fans? Was it a mix of both? Austin ponders the thought and isn't quite sure what the answer is. But he knows Becca is already asleep in their hotel room after he convinced her not to fly back to LA and travel with him for a little bit so there's no point in worrying about sending a response to her right now in his buzzed state.

About 10 minutes later, the taxi drops him off at the hotel and after paying the driver what he owes him as well as a generous tip, Austin gets out of the taxi and walks into the hotel, taking his room key out of his pocket and heading up to his room as the scene fades out.

The Next Morning, About 11 AM in the previously mentioned hotel room:

As the scene fades back in, we see both Austin and Becca sitting up in bed, enjoying a late breakfast of french toast, bacon, eggs and coffee that was delivered to them by room service. Each of them have a small tray on their laps and in stereo, each takes a sip of coffee from their mugs before Becca turns her head to look at Austin.

So about what I texted you last night, I hope you don't think I was disappointed in you for what you did in the match. It just struck me as really odd, I mean I figured after he took you out of action for months that you'd enjoy nothing more than choking the life out of Derek Jacobs for the submission and maybe injuring him worse than he did to you.

Austin looks back and after swallowing his bite of french toast, shrugs his shoulders and responds.

I was thinking about it and I guess even after he injured me and took me out of action for months I couldn't do the same for him. I know even Jacobs has loved ones to provide for and I'm not a ruthless monster like he is.

Becca nods slowly but then gives Austin a very serious look.

Did you ever think sometimes maybe you need to be a ruthless monster?

Austin looks taken off guard by the question, it's a thought that's never really crossed his mind before. Sure he's had plenty of enemies and sure he's gotten vicious to win some matches, but to be ruthless and be willing to take out anybody who crossed his path? That's not something he's ever thought about. After all what kind of example would he be setting for his fans and most of all his nephew if he just started injuring people and not caring about anything other than winning?

Austin now shrugs before responding to Becca.

I guess I haven't, but I don't think that's who I am nor do I think that's who I need to be. In fact for right now, all I need to be is the guy who beats Bruce Thorn Jr. to become the new Television Champion.

Austin chuckles as does Becca before she speaks up.

This is true, but like last week your facing another ruthless monster, except this one has been nearly unbeatable lately. I think you underestimated him at Legacy.

I hate to say it but I think you're right. I mean I knew he was good but I didn't know he was that good. No matter what I did to him or what Daiko did to him he just kept coming back for more and in the end that's what won him the championship. And then this week with Daiko he still survived with the title after Daiko pushed him to his limit. But I'd like to think I have better endurance than both of them.

Becca nods.

That may be but endurance doesn't win championships What wins championships is drive, determination, and heart. At Legacy Thorn had a little more of that than you and Daiko, but you need to go out there next week and keep fighting until you win the match and take home the championship.

You have a point, Thorn will be willing to do anything to beat me and retain his championship. While I'm not willing to stoop to the level of cheating, I need to be ready for anything and be willing to do almost anything to keep him down and beat him. After all if I lose I'll be at the back of the line of championship contention not just for the TV Title, but for any other title in PWC. I came back here to win championships and I can't do that if I keep losing. When the bell rings and I'm face to face with Thorn and we finally face off 1 on 1, I'm gonna give it my all and at the end of the night, I intend to have that championship slung over my shoulder. Not just for me, but for you, for Josh and for Lauren. The champions get the bigger pay days and a bigger pay day means I can provide for all of you better than before. Hell maybe I could get Lauren and Josh a place of their own so they don't have to live with us forever. This has been building between Thorn and I ever since I returned to PWC and after the hell we both have gone through the last 2 weeks, only one of us is gonna be able to walk away from this match and the one who does will be doing so as champion. I felt the disappointment at Last Rites and I won't let it happen again, I refuse to be the one laid out this time, not again.

Becca nods while getting out of the hotel bed and picking up the trays that formerly held food, placing them back on the cart before beginning to get dressed.

That sounds great. And more imporantly, if you win and become the TV Champion, it's the first step to the top of the PWC mountain and becoming Legacy Champion, then World Champion and cementing your legacy as one of, if not the best wrestler in PWC history. I know it's a long journey and a long way to go, but I'm confident you can do it, after all you are Austin Angel, the greatest high flyer in wrestling history.

Austin laughs as he finishes getting dressed and wraps his arms around the waist of Becca.

The greatest high flyer in wrestling history? The greatest wrestler in PWC history? Babe I think you're jumping the gun a little bit here. I still have a long way to go to earn either of those titles. But I'm glad to see you have the confidence in me to become both of those things.

Austin and Becca now share a kiss before Becca pulls away.

I do, and one day I know you'll be able to call yourself both of those things, but for now lets focus on being able to call you the PWC Television Champion.

Austin nods in agreement as the two begin packing up what little stuff they have around the room as the scene slowly begins to fade out.

Shit, didn't even notice this had been put up. I might be able to thrash something out but could I get a 24-hour extension just in case. Better off asking now and getting something in early than asking at 11:59 or forgetting.
