It seems very likely that the King will be back at some point. I fully expect Punk to continue to berate him in order to gain heat. This is not even a criticism, merely just a prediction. King, being the true pro he is, would probably have no issue with it. What better way to get Punk over as a heel than to have him bash an already extremely over Lawler, after he almost died? It would not surprise me if we see Punk interrupt his return promo. It wouldn't even shock me if Punk said he wished Lawler died. Thoughts?

If it's true that the Doc cleared him I see no reasson he can not get in the ring, it seems as if his problem had NOTHING to do with the match, as in this was there before, and was going to happen match or not.

Punk would be able to garner some mega-heat if he started poking fun at the dude who had a heart attack on air.

And I'm sure Lawler, being the old-school wrestling badass he is, would consent to that kinda shit too. He let Cole make comments about his mother like what, 2 days after she died?

Possibly, I can also see a Grandmaster Sexay return on the cards. Maybe to defend his fathers honor, as I doubt Vince will want the king in the ring anytime soon. Being the massive Too Cool fan as I was as a kid I would welcome it.

Yeah except they call him "Brian Christopher" now because "Grandmaster Sexay" is too attitude for the kids these days, so he gets 0 pop. I was a big too cool fan as well but unless they actually try hard, itd just be a flop

As crass as this sounds (and I feel pretty sleazy saying it), Lawler's heart attack inflates Punk's status as a heel. I work at a school and, talking to the kids, they blame Punk for Lawler's heart attack. They don't know the difference between reality and kayfabe (they're pretty young still) and they think that Punk's bullying caused Lawler to have a heart attack. He's got some serious heat with the kids and, as the main WWE audience is kids (who can't differentiate between storyline and reality), this heat just amplifies Punk's status as top heel.

Not anytime soon. Let's say Lawler comes back by the Royal Rumble (perhaps sooner with the way things seem to be progressing) I doubt the first thing Vince is going to do is throw him back into the ring to take some type of physical attack, even if it's not a match and another kick to the head or something like that.

In fact it wouldn't even surprise me to see at least for a while Vince to not allow matches to go near the announce table if Lawler is there. At least for a while, not permanently.

Punk's gonna do to Lawler's son what Taker did to Flair's son. I wouldn't mind, but fuck, I do NOT want to see them continue. Not because of the heart attack, but it's so damn friggin lame! King vs. Miz was shit (for multiple reasons), I really don't want to see this nugget turn into a shit ball.

Casual fans are probably blaming Punk for the heart attack. Lawyer shouldn't wrestle ever again.
