Premier League Prediction Contest 2022/23

And We are back! thanks to Farhanc for the push to get this up and running again.

So , Rules remain the same as always:
Correct winner & correct scoreline (including draws) = 3 points
Correct winner & wrong scoreline (including draws) = 1 point
Wrong winner & wrong scoreline = 0 points

Double points will also be up for grabs throughout the season for the big season matches (i.e. Manchester Derby, North London Derby, Manchester United/Liverpool, key relegation and title matches etc...)

Kick off begins on Friday with Palace vs Arsenal so when you're all ready. Lets do it

Here are my final week predictions.

Arsenal 2-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers I see this as a home win for Arsenal are second for a reason, so a home win for Arsenal.

Aston Villa 1-3 Brighton & Hove Albion I see this as an away win for Brighton & Hove Albion as they have superior attacking threat, so an away win for Brighton & Hove Albion.

Brentford 1-2 Manchester City I see this as an away win for Manchester City even with a rotated squad as they are champions for a reason, so an away win for Manchester City.

Chelsea 1-2 Newcastle United I see this as an away win for Newcastle United as have the joint best defence with Manchester City, so an away win for Manchester City.

Crystal Palace 1-0 Nottingham Forest I see this as a home win for Crystal Palace as they are stronger defensively, so a home win for Crystal Palace.

Everton 3-1 AFC Bournemouth I see this as a home win for Everton as they are stronger defensively, so a home win for Everton. (I am an Everton Fan).

Leeds United 1-3 Tottenham Hotspur I see this as an away win for Tottenham Hotspur as they have a stronger first 11, so an away win for Tottenham Hotspur.

Leicester City 0-2 West Ham United I see this as an away win for West Ham United as Leicester City have the joint worst defence with Nottingham Forest, so an away win for West Ham United.

Manchester United 3-1 Fulham I see this as a home win for Manchester United as they have stronger squad depth, so a home win for Manchester United.

Southampton 0-3 Liverpool I see this as an away win for Liverpool as Southampton are bottom and relegated for a reason, so an away win for Liverpool.

Well...shit, turns out Punkhead took some serious inspiration from the German team, and STALKER (starting the day in 4th place) has come out of nowhere and stolen the crown on the final day of the competition! Certainly not the result I was expecting (and I triple-checked the calculations just to make sure!). To memory, I don't think I've ever seen someone not win the crown after being top in the final game week so you've made some level of history here today Punkhead!

In anycase, huge congrats to our 2022/23 premier league winner STALKER! well played my friend and thank you all again for playing!​

Damn, I really did a Dortmund, didn't I? Congratulations to STALKER, thank you to CGS for doing this competition every year. I would like to apologize to all my fans, I know you're disappointed, you deserve better. Now it's time for a a summer of hard work and preparation for the next season. See you in a few months, guys.
