It's been around for well over a decade, but does anyone else think WWE should do away with the segments where they just show pictures of what happened at the PPV the night prior when recapping it?

I get that they try to just show people pictures of what happened so that those who didn't buy the event might suddenly want to buy it after seeing what happened, but honestly....who would actually buy the event on PPV when they know the results and are already watching the Raw happening the night after?

It gets abit boring the night after PPVs when they just show 1-2 pictures of a match, and it takes 30 seconds-1 minute to recap it so all we see is a picture with commentators talking about it. Why not just show fans small clips of the match?

Yeah, it's kind of annoying seeing a pic of two people in mid air with a table beneath them and only hearing King yelling and the table crash.

i remember being a kid and watching the raw after the DX ppv with austin vs rock for the Ic title. they showed still pictures of it and i was thinking "my god i need to see this more than anything in the world"

so yeah, i have experience of it making people want to buy it. I was a kid but it still holds true

But then again, that was before days of internet and stuff. If people really wanted to see something like that, they can easily find PPV all over internet, and even clips of those big moments on sites like youtube. If people didn't buy it live, I doubt they'd be convinced the night after the event(when already knowing the results and knowing what happens next) to go ahead and buy it.

I'd always assumed it had something to do with an agreement WWE has with the cable providers & the content carriers.

While i did catch every ppv on sunday back then, i can't see myself buying the ppv already knowing the results from sunday and seeing the fallout on RAW.

Actually i didn't see NoWayOut 2002 featuring nWo's debut and while i complained throughout the night about missing it, i didn't order the ppv after watching RAW.

I miss when WWE would air a commercial about last night's PPV and then promote the reply airing all week. I love seeing only the photos with the commentary in the background. Makes PPVs feel more exclusive like you can ONLY watch the event on PPV.
