Right now most of the talk coming out of FCW is mainly Ambrose, Kassius, and Rollins etc. We don't hear much about other talent as often. Which is not a major problem for me, nor is it the point of this thread. I have been following him for a few years, and think he has something. It may take some time for the "it" factor to show itself, but I think this guy is solid, and he actually has a decent new name, I like the name Corey Graves it's simple. His other wrestling name that I happen to like is Sterling James Keenan. Apparently it's a tribute to former Packer Wide Receiver Sterling Sharpe, and lead singer of the band Tool, Maynard James Keenan. I happen to think this guy has some upside, and will be anticipating his WWE debut.

Graves definitely has potential. That rolling leg lock is sweet and I like his indie rocker gimmick.
The one thing he needs to work on is his psychology. I.e. he shouldn't be working over an arm when his finish is the Fuller Leg Lock. Which is exactly what he did last time I watched him wrestle.

Still, other than that he's awesome.

I agree with you, but he had a match with Eric Rowen. Nothing special outside of the fact that Graves told a great story in a match that was less than 5 mins long. His ability to tell a story in the ring is uncanny right now. The ring psychology of his does need a bit more fine tuning. I just like what I see from this man. This may sound blasphemous, but I thought he, and Ambrose would make a solid tag team for the WWE. Although that won't be the case, I still think those two have something that would sell them well as a tag team. Their attitudes are similar.

Oh don't get me wrong, I really like Graves and he impressed me more in that match with Rowan than Ohno, Rollins and Woods combined have to date.

I really like his work, his look and what he's been doing so far. He's a great talent and I definitely think he's got a lot of potential. Hopefully once Ambrose, Sandow, Rollins etc start moving up to the main roster, he gets more time on TV and in general. His partnership with Jake Carter is really growing on me too actually. Hopefully they get to stick as a team for a while.

I've been watching his work for years and he doesn't suck. His heel work in 1pw was great. It reminded me of Edge 06. He's worked with some established stars (Christian, 2 Cold Scorpio, Abyss). If they want someone to get legit heat, he's a good candidate imo. Shame he can't do the MK Ultra in the WWE, I loved that move!

Corey Graves real name: Matt Polinsky. fpalm

So you basically take a guy with a already distinguished birth name and give him a bland, boring, every day average joe name. How stupid are these idiots running developmental seriously? Corey Graves is about as terrible and gay porn sounding as your gonna get. Might as well call him Jay Johnson or John Peterson or whatever other cheap basketball 2K12 random name generator name the thing spins out with.

Right, he'll get over with the name Matthew Polinsky.......

Anyhow I think Corey Graves is fine, but I also enjoyed his Indie name Sterling James Keenan, or SJK. It sounds like to much to say, but it rolls off the tongue perfect for professional wrestling fans, and WWE commentators. In any case I like his look, and the current name he has right now under a WWE contract. At times I wish they would have considered making a tag team with Graves, and Ambrose. Those two would make for a solid tag team imo.

I like him. Has a unique look, nice ink and punk rock flare. More slender than what WWE usually goes for but it's not necessarily a bad thing as he stands out. I've only seen a couple matches but was impressed with what I saw. If he continues to improve/evolve, he could be a decent roster addition.

His FCW name is badass, i also agree that i could see him with Ambrose going by their looks. Then again i could also see Graves in the Ascension, he has that dirty look to him that isn't too far off the dark look the Ascension has though i can't really see him doing the OTT movements etc they use.

How about a name like Edge or Kane. Why do names all have to be regular names these days anyways? In that case yes his birth name is better than that bullshit and you can't deny that at all.

Matthew > Cory (sounds like a girl name)

Polinsky > Graves (bland as fuck name almost everybody has)

Corey Graves is like one of the most badass names that is in FCW is not THE most badass name in FCW, his name fits his gimmick, it fits his look, would have preferred they kept calling him Sterling James Keenan, but really, if they wouldn't name him that I'm not sure I could've come up with a better name than what he has now, does he look like a guy being named Matthew Polinsky, I mean, if you looked at this guy walking down the street, what would you think he was named: Matthew Polinsky or Corey Graves, I know what I would think.

But yeah, great talent, I want to see more of him, give him more promo time, let him show more of his character, I just wanna see more of what he can do in FCW and if luck what he can bring to WWE.

Oh yeah I'm really scarred by the name Corey Graves. Almost as bad ass as the name John Smith.

I've always thought he had something. Needs just a touch more seasoning--say, six months or so--in my view, but overall he's an underrated prospect. He brings an almost entirely different aura than the majority of FCWers. I also think Corey Graves is a great name, suits him just about perfectly.

He's got a great look something half the guys on the roster lacks nowadays. I'd like to see more of what he can do but he looks promising. I hope they give him a proper chance in the future.
