Why did he leave. Last thing I remember from him is him trying to get Daniel to shave his beard and Daniel reversed it.

I liked him back in NXT when he was paired with Jericho and then going on to be the leader of The Nexus and of course the whole feuding with Cena and him getting demoted downward since then with bad booking and injuries and repacking him didn't help his cause, I don't know what they could do with him next.
They should get Regal to be his manager and his mouthpiece maybe then he could be taken more seriously and even break Drew McIntyre away from 3MB and reform their 'Empire' tag team from their time down in FCW with Regal as their manager.
