Possible reason for why AJ Lee doesn't want to be in WWE anymore

Now I don't want to absolve her of phoning it in because performers should constantly give their 200% for when employed by a company but man.... IDK sometimes I wonder if AJ has been phoning it in lately, not just because of the whole thing with Punk, but because of the fact that the women that could have been interesting opponents for her were killed before they even started.

Ever thought it was a possibility? Especially after her Slammys Promo where she pretty much gave a not so subtle dig towards the divas she's been stuck with.

Paige: Forced to play a character she wasn't used to playing, was hardly ever allowed to talk during her title reign, and stuck with opponents like Cameron, Aksana etc.

Someone apparently thought that a girl that carries herself like a badass, has a dark alternative look, and wrestles/moves like a heel should be playing A shy, smiley, buttkissing girl(A role that would fit Bayley moreso) then yet her "heel" but making her a multi personality having Nickolodeon lesbian with cowardly tendencies. Puhleeze

That HAD to have been done on purpose due to Dunn burying her in meetings to Vince. Now she's relegated to Superstars when the women that can't wrestle for sh!!t are on TV weekly. Same with the others mentioned here in this post

Emma: A girl that got over playing a quirky and fun loving girl that can be serious when she had to be. What happens on the main roster? She gets pigeonheld into being a Santino clone that hardly talks and barely wrestles then she's killed quickly when Vince and Dunn get bored.

Summer Rae: A girl that was good at playing a Stuck up Alpha bitch that used real heel tactics against her opponents in matches and carried herself like she didn't give a damn what anyone thought. She was like Regina George mixed with Hilary Banks. She first becomes Fandumbo's arm candy then turns into a face for like a cup of coffee and then goes back heel. Now I'll admit, her ring skills aren't her main strengths, it's her talking ability yet she's been booked into directionless oblivion.

Natalya: Been forced to be everything but herself and when she find something that works the rug gets pulled from Underneath her and she's booked into oblivion again.

What's also sad is that when someone like AJ gets to finally work with these girls, the feuds are creatively stifled and the matches are micromanaged. Paige/AJ, Paige/Natalya etc can go on house shows and kill it every time whether it's regular or 2/3 Falls matches if you believe the correspondents yet they can't quite get it together on shows like Raw or even the PPVs.

Seriously someone needs to tell Vince that female centric entertainment doesn't begin and end with f-cking BayWatch(which is still more entertaining than they're divas division) and in 2014, people like seeing women be strong, courageous and/or badass.

Gonna have a female-centric spinoff show, ok fine but push the ones on the show with real talent AND make the show less Daytime TV-esque. Ultimate Fighter's recent season focused on the women and even when the women were being catty, it made viewers want to take them seriously.

If I was AJ and saw this tomfoolery happening constantly then I wouldn't want to be around either, even if I was champ and the top draw. Especially If it's all done because two senile, out-of-touch, discriminatory, creatively bankrupt ass holes are behind it all just to accommodate their preferences for the two cover girl wannabes that can't talk or work to save their frickin lives.

Aj still got to work with Nattie, Paige, etc. and she still phoned it in.

As far as Emma goes she is exactly the same as she was in NXT. The difference is the crowds what gets over in NXT; Emma, Bo, Rose tends to suck in front of bigger crowds not made up of smarks.

Paige is a 21 year old rookie who looked noticeably nervous her first few months on the main roster yet people wanted her to be given the world straight off the bat. Paige is better now after having finally adjusted to the bigger crowds than she was when she debuted.

As I pointed out, it seems that these girls were able to get it done at house shows but not at PPVs . Though AJ/Natalya Had a fairly solid match atleast years TLC and on WWE Main Event earlier this year shortly after NXT Arrival.

In the case of Paige, though I'd be fuckin nervous too if I was forced to play a character I wasn't used to playing and wrestling in constraints I wasn't used to as well. It's almost like when Jericho first came to WWE and he wasn't quite able to get it together.

Emma was only a caricature of what she was in NXT, In NXT we got to actually see her character develop...Not just pointless comedy skits with Marella.

All in all though, it's clear that these girls, much like the rest of the roster, are being creatively stifled and micromanaged. I wouldn't doubt the fun's been sucked out of everything if you were a champ in need of opponents.

One day the rumor will be true that AJ Lee is leaving WWE. And the dirtsheets will all tell us they told us so. Yet, ignore the previous 450 times they were wrong. The issue with AJ and Nikki is they don't like each other. It seems as if AJ has zero interest in working with her, and Nikki has zero interest in being a heel and wants to be cheered. That equals a disaster.

When AJ leaves though, in my opinion, it won't be forever. It's going to be a Jericho like situation. She'll return here and there for a few months, and then leave again. Return and leave. Return and leave. Like Jericho she'll also probably put over some of those women she mentioned.

Maybe she just wants to leave and move on with her life. It happens with everybody. There are a million reasons why she might want to leave WWE

If she wants to go, she can. It won't matter.

Why would she want to be in main roster's division? It has the worst booking in the whole company, which says something.

And girls like Summer and Emma that she said she wanted to work with, are jobbing to hell and back and have been completely stripped of what made them good in the first place, so who the hell would want to work in environment like that? Especially a person who actually loves wrestling.

If she was on the NXT roster where she would have longer and more important matches that doesn't end with ***** kisses or sprays, it would be different.

And maybe, she just wants to enjoy her marriage. The way the division has been treated and the way her husband has been treated and she has all the reasons to not enjoy working in WWE. But fuck you haters, that doesn't mean she doesn't love wrestling.

Why would she want to work for a company that put her husbands life at risk by mistreating a staph infection either because their medical staff are incompetent or because the company didn't want him to miss dates?

Not to mention that Punk believes they deliberately sent him termination papers on their wedding day just to piss him off.

She should have quit long ago on principle alone.

But then she started phoning it in. I wouldn't even put it past her purposely messing up spots. They got what they did from her. AJ was a good worker, worth all the trouble?

worth the Punk chants?
worth sandbagging matches?
worth freezing your division?
worth just keeping 1 person on camera?

No. If she stays I always said it should be her pushing future names without the title. You don't need to put a title on her. If you have to put a strap on this girl to make her important then she's not that great a talent. She's not carrying matches lets be honest there, her opponents who are normally bigger than her, some stronger and faster have to slow down in the ring to make up for her.

If she doesn't stay move on. This is a girl who got popular not because of her in ring. Because she was forcefed with every talented main event card guy. Whether it was mid card main event, main card main event, and thrown in every situation having to do with a microphone because she filled a demographic IWC fell in love with. A gamer chick, perky, high school teen looking girl that could do a few lucha moves.

There's life after this. I'm pretty sure of it. Without disrespecting AJ Lee. If you stay good, help without a title. If you're gone. Sayonara.

It was obviously influenced by punk. Someone with a heart for wrestling would obviously not quit wwe over minor issues.

One would only quit if
1) influenced by spouse
2) under pressure from management (also due to punk)
3) she is taken care of financially (punk and her fortune can last a long time)

So all factors are because of punk.
