Hello everyone, some of you might already know me, but just in case you don't my name is Abdel Zerradi and I'm from Brooklyn, New York. I have been writing Fantasy Wrestling all over the net for almost 2 years right now. I've been part of many groups in the past and the one that most of you might know is RFI (Room For Improvement) on prowrestling.com. Anyway, after a long absence from the writing scene, I decided to make another come back and start a new saga, only this time I decided to start with short show results until I pick the pace again and start getting more detailed like I love doing. Now that the introduction is out of the way, let's get into the back story of my new saga.

Feeling that it was time to do something new with World Wrestling Entertainment, Chairman of the board Vince K. McMahon decided to pass his powers as owner of the WWE to his elder son Shane McMahon and give him full control over the multi-national corporation. With a new boss in charge, a lot of changes has been made to ensure that this restart will bring nothing but benefits to the business; therefore, Shane McMahon went on and released some of the talents that the creative team couldn't come up with ideas for, sent some wrestlers down to Ohio Valley Wrestling to enhance their wrestling skills before being brought back the active roster, and also signed a handful of free agents to bring the company's legacy back to its highest peek.

WWE Resurrection Day Preview:
The first WWE show under the new chairman Shane McMahon comes to you live from the world's most famous arena - Madison Square Garden. According to the new Mr. McMahon, the new era of WWE will be unlike any other as he will be present at every show handling all the authority tasks for the show. Shane has decided that he will not be appointing any General Manager or Commissioner to ensure that the show runs smoothly, but instead he will be the one signing the matches and organizing each and every WWE show or Pay-per-view.

Shane McMahon will be making all the announcements concerning the vacant championship belts and how they will be decided. Therefore, make sure you tune in for Resurrection Day, the first World Wrestling Entertainment show for the year of 2005!

WWE Resurrection Day
Monday, January 3rd, 2005
Madison Square Garden – New York, New York
Announcers: Jim Ross & Bobby Heenan
Written by: Abdel ‘Phenomenal’ Zerradi

WWE Resurrection Day kicks off with the new chairman of the WWE in the ring and the fans cheering in anticipation as a new notch in the history of wrestling and sports-entertainment will be marked here tonight live from the world’s most famous arena. Shane explains how the WWE was turned over to him and guarantees that things will definitely change for the better because ‘there is a new sheriff in town!’ Shane says that Monday Nights will host a new show by the name of ‘Breakdown’, which will begin at 7:00 P.M Eastern Time. The new Mr. McMahon announces that tonight we will witness the crowning of a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion as fifteen men will square off in a traditional over the top rope battle royal! Shane says that the match will include the biggest names in the history of WWE and wrestling as a whole.

*I’M ALL GROWN UP*

The new chairman gets interrupted as “All grown up” by James Alan Johnston plays and Stephanie McMahon walks to the ramp for the first time in over a year. Steph gets into Shane’s face and explains that she’s against Vince handing over 100% of the company’s ownership to his oldest son because she had contributed to this business as much as anyone in the McMahon family. Shane replies by saying that she should go talk to Dad about it instead of causing a problem in Live TV. Steph says she’s a McMahon and she can do what she wants when she wants. Shane says that this is his show and if he wanted he could have removed from the building by security. Steph says that he does not need to bring a bunch of old bums to show her the way but she will make herself clear, as long as she does not have legal authority in the WWE, this place will always be a living hell one way… or another. Steph then slaps Shane hard across the face and quickly exits the ring and backs up the ramp as Shane stands in the middle ring with a stunned expression on his face.

*Commercial Break*

We come from the break and get a quick replay of the events that occurred between Shane and Stephanie and we get a shot of Shane during the break in his office announcing that he promises this type of behavior by his sister will not be tolerated as long as he’s in power and that this is the last time she will be let into the building without a backstage pass. Shane announces that up next, six of WWE’s top cruiserweights will square off in a 6 Way Elimination Match to crown the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

We head back to the ring as the commentators quickly go through the rules in this match: elimination can occur by pin fall, submission, knockout or disqualification, and the last man standing will be crowned Cruiserweight Champion

WWE Cruiserweight Championship (vacant)
6 Way Elimination Match
Rey Mysterio vs. Ultimo Dragon vs. Billy Kidman vs. Paul London vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Tajiri

Tajiri was eliminated by Ultimo Dragon via submission after a Dragon Sleeper. Billy Kidman was eliminated by Chavo Guerrero via pin fall after a roll-up using the tights. Chavo Guerrero was then eliminated by Paul London via pin fall after a London Calling. Rey Mysterio then pinned Paul London after a 6-1-9 to eliminate him. It was down to Rey Mysterio and Ultimo Dragon and it looked Rey was about to tap out to the Dragon Sleeper, he reversed into a small package and scored the three count to win WWE Cruiserweight Championship!

Winner via pin fall and new WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Rey Mysterio

Ultimo congratulated Rey after the match and exited the ring as Mysterio continued to celebrate his victory and pose with his newly won belt in all turnbuckles for the fans. Suddenly, Mysterio turned around into a vital chair shot to the head from a hooded man! The man took off his hood and was revealed as… AJ Styles!!! Styles picked up Mysterio and nailed the Styles Clash and went outside to grab a microphone. Styles sent a message to every Cruiserweight on the back telling them that the days of mediocre high-flying action in the WWE are over because ‘The Phenomenal One’ has arrived!! The crowds booed AJ Styles as he taunted Mysterio again and dropped the Cruiserweight belt on his chest and posed to a huge chorus of boos.

*Commercial Break*

We come back from the break and a replay of the incident following Rey Mysterio’s victory is shown with AJ Styles making his debut here in the WWE by taking out to the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion and sending out a message to every cruiserweight in the back.

The cameras are in a locker room where we see ‘The Whole Damn Show’ Rob Van Dam tapping his wrists as suddenly a knock is heard on the door and RVD yells ‘Come in.’ Van Dam looks surprised to see Eddie Guerrero entering and the two greet each other, Eddie explains that besides the 15 Men Battle Royal, he has gotten himself a spot on the 4-Way Elimination Tag Match coming up next to decide the new WWE Tag Team Champions. Eddie said that he wants RVD to be his partner because they have a lot in common including the ECW background and most importantly the Frog Splash finisher. Rob accepts Eddie’s proposition as Guerrero leaves and says “See you in a few.”

The cameras take us to Shane McMahon’s office where he brings his attention to the viewers at home and announces that he decided to bring back an old wrestling tradition back to World Wrestling Entertainment and that is the hardcore style of wrestling. Shane opens a briefcase next to him and pulls out a brand new shiny belt and positions it in front of the camera and announces that next week on the first episode of Breakdown, we will crown the first ever WWE Extreme Champion in a no rules straight up hardcore match pitting ‘The Man Beast’ Rhyno, ‘The Ultimate Loner’ Raven and the returning ‘Human Wrecking Machine’ Tazz! Shane says that every time the Extreme Championship is being defended the belt will be hung over the ring and the winner if the first to capture the belt or score a pin fall or a submission. Shane announces that we will receive an Extreme Preview Match later on between Tazz and Rhyno to give the fans all over the world of what to expect next week in the Extreme Championship match. The crowds roar in approval for the announcement as we return to the ring for the 4-Way Elimination Tag Match to crown the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

WWE Tag Team Championship (vacant)
4 Way Elimination Tag Team Match
The Dudley Boyz vs. The World’s Greatest Tag Team vs. Eddie Guerrero & Rob Van Dam vs. ???

All three teams are in the ring as everyone awaits the arrival of the fourth team to get this match going. A very familiar music hits the speakers and the crowd pop huge for The Spanish Announce Team! SAT’s enter the ring and a big brawl issues between all four teams. The Dudley Boyz are surprisingly eliminated first by the debuting SAT’s after a Double-Team Bulldog. The World’s Greatest Tag Team are next to go after a Frog Splash by Eddie Guerrero on Charlie Haas and a cover for three count. At the end it was The SAT’s who came out on top after they hit The Spanish Fly on Rob Van Dam for the victory!

Winners via pin fall and new WWE Tag Team Champions: The SAT’s

The SAT’s celebrated their victory with their newly won belts as the fans cheered and greeted them with a huge ovation.

*Tune in for the first episode of WWE Breakdown, next Monday at 7:00 PM Eastern Time on Spike TV!*

The show is back on the air as we see Rob Van Dam in the Medics Office with an ice pack on his neck. Eddie comes walking in and informs RVD that there are no hard feelings for losing, and that they should tag again in the future. RVD tries to apologize but Eddie cuts him off and tells him to not even go there, today was just bad luck and they will make it up in the future. The two shake hands and Eddie leaves and as soon as he steps out of the door, he bumps into new WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rey Mysterio. Rey goes to greet his old time friend but Guerrero just pushes him off and tells him to get out of his way and walks away.

Extreme Preview Match
Tazz vs. Rhyno

The Man Beast missed a Gore that caused him to fall to Tazz’s Tazzmission but as it looked like Rhyno was going to tap out to the submission hold, the lights went out in the arena and “Straight out of line” by Godsmack started playing. When the lights came back on, Raven was standing in the ring with a chair in hand!! Raven let the weapon crash into Tazz’s back which caused him to release the hold. Raven continued nailing Tazz with a series of vicious chair shots to the back before lifting him up and dropping him with a Raven Effect into the chair!!!!! Raven then turned his attention to Rhyno who was trying to get back to his feet but ‘The Ultimate Loner’ cut him off short by a vicious chair shot to the head!!! Raven grabbed ‘The Man Beast’ and delivered another Raven Effect on the already bent down chair!! Tazz and Rhyno both lay in the floor in a pool of blood while Raven stood in the middle of the ring with his hands high in the air and a steel chair in hand.

Winner: No Contest

The shot fades and we are taken backstage where we see The Game walking down a corridor. Suddenly he stops at a door way that read ‘The People’s Champ’ and enters without knocking. Triple H comes face to face with The Rock and the two engage in a stare down before HHH smiles and sticks a hand out to The Rock who looks reluctant to shake Triple H’s hand. HHH says that he came here to bury the hatchet and start a new page, he wishes him good luck in the battle royal and may the best man win. Rock shakes HHH’s hand and informs that the hatchet might be buried but the memories will always live on. Rock says he’s walking out of here WWE Champion and there is nothing Hunter can do about it. HHH says that Rock is wrong, that title is already his, because the title WWE World Heavyweight Champion equals Triple H, suddenly a knock is heard on door as someone walks in laughing, the camera turns over to the doorway and we see… Stone Cold Steve Austin!!! HHH and The Rock look to be surprised as Austin walks in and greets them both with taps the back. Austin says that if there is anyone walking out of here WWE Champion, it’s gonna be here, because he’s back and he’s better than ever and that’s the bottom line cuz Stone Cold said so!

*Commercial Break*

We come back from the break as the ring is filled with participants in the 15 Men Battle Royal.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship – 15 Men Battle Royal
The Rock, Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Kane, Kurt Angle, Randy Orton, Edge, Eddie Guerrero, John Cena, Rob Van Dam, Booker T, Big Show and ???

*HERE COMES THE MONEY*

The new Chairman of the WWE appears on TitanTron and announces that there are only fourteen superstars in that ring and that he did in fact state that it is going to be a 15 Men Battle Royal, so without wasting anymore time please welcome back…

*HERES COMES THE PAIN*

Brock Lesnar rushes down the ramp to the ring and all hell breaks louse as each person is trying to prove themselves worthy of being WWE Champion. The eliminations occurred as follows:

Edge was eliminated first by Randy Orton after an RKO. Randy Orton was eliminated by John Cena right after with a Clothesline over the top rope. John Cena then walked straight into a Chokeslam by Kane and was eliminated. Surprisingly, Big Show was eliminated next by Kane after a HUGE Chokeslam. Rob Van Dam tried to go for a Frog Splash on Kurt Angle but Eddie Guerrero knocked him off the top rope and eliminated him. Booker T was eliminated next by Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho who tossed him over the top rope and the duo looked to be working together as a team. Next to fall victim to the duo was Eddie Guerrero after a huge F-5 from Brock Lesnar! Lesnar was then caught off guard by Kane with a Tombstone Piledriver before being knocked out of the ring over the top rope. A Three-away brawl engaged between Rock, HHH and Austin, which resulted into The Rattlesnake being knocked over the top rope accidentally by The Rock who was going after Triple H. Rock did not see what was coming next and he walked straight into a Pedigree from The Game before being tossed out of the ring. It was down to Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, Kane and Triple H. All attention was turned to the Big Red Machine who seemed to be everyone’s next target and after nailing all four of them with Chokeslams, he was caught off guard by Brock Lesnar who slid back into the ring and nailed Kane with a huge F-5. Benoit was next back to his feet and with the help of Jericho the duo were able to get Kane out of the ring over the top rope. The Game was next in The Canadians’ hit list as the two double teamed Hunter to try to get him out of the contest. However, Jericho had his back turned while working on HHH and Benoit sneaked from behind and threw Y2J over the top rope!!! Jericho stood in the outside with a surprised look as Benoit laughed from inside the ring. Jericho tried to slide back in but officials were able to hold him back as the match was down to Triple H, Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle. Benoit turned his attention back to the ring and walked right into a Pedigree from The Game!!! Hunter tossed Benoit outside as the tension grew higher as it wad down to HHH and Kurt Angle. The duo engaged in a brawl and as HHH looked to be about to finish The American Hero with a Pedigree, Kurt back dropped The Game to the outside!!!

Winner and new WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle gets back into his feet and accepts his newly won championship from the referee and holds it high in the air to a huge ovation from the crowd.

*I’M ALL GROWN UP*

Stephanie McMahon makes her way to the ring clapping for Kurt Angle. Steph goes and raises Kurt’s hand who continues to pose for the fans. Suddenly, a masked man slides into the ring and Kurt turns his attention to Stephanie who greets him with a HARD SLAP across the face! Kurt turns around into a Super Kick from the masked man!! In the mean time, Triple H comes back into the ring and looks shocked at what happened. The masked man picks up Kurt’s title belt and places it on HHH’s shoulder as Stephanie smiles. Hunter looks confused as the masked man takes off his mask and is revealed as… SHAWN MICHAELS!! HHH is stunned and Shawn extends a hand to his former best friend and the two embrace in the middle of the ring. The show ends with a shot of Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Stephanie McMahon standing in triumphal in the middle of the ring over Kurt Angle.

WWE Breakdown I
Monday, January 10th, 2005
The Ice Palace - Tampa, Florida
Announcers: Jim Ross & Bobby Heenan
Written by: Abdel ‘Phenomenal’ Zerradi

*** Last Week ***
A video package runs highlighting the results from last week’s show Resurrection Day, which saw the crowning of three new champions. First it was Rey Mysterio winning a 6 Way Elimination Match to become the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion, then shortly after that ‘The Phenomenal One’ AJ Styles made his most anticipated debut in the WWE by taking out the new champ and stating that ‘The Phenomenal One has arrived!’ Then it was The Spanish Announce Team a.k.a The SAT’s making their WWE debut and winning the WWE Tag Team Championships in a 4 Way Elimination Tag Team Match. Last and certainly not least, Kurt Angle was able to outcome 14 other men in an over the top rope battle royal to capture the gold once again and become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion after eliminating ‘The Game’ Triple H, only shortly after that, he was cheap shot by Stephanie McMahon before being attacked by a masked man who later was revealed to be Shawn Michaels and the show ended with HHH, HBK and Stephanie standing over Kurt Angle’s battered body.

(The Breakdown logo flashes across the screen followed by the show’s theme song “Aces High” by Iron Maiden playing to a video package showing various WWE wrestlers posing and performing their finishers and some of the most insane moves in the wrestling business. The package ends with a picture of the new WWE chairman Shane McMahon smiling.)

We head to the arena where the pyros explode on the entrance ramp and we get a shot of Shane McMahon in the TitanTron. Shane says that due to the actions by Stephanie McMahon and her newly reformed team of Triple H and Shawn Michaels, we will witness a mega Tag Match tonight for the show’s main event as HHH and HBK will team up to take on the team of The Rock… and… Stone Cold Steve Austin!!

WWE Extreme Championship
Triple Threat Match
Rhyno vs. Raven vs. Tazz

Tazz and Rhyno teamed up for most of the match and delivered a first class beating to Raven who made his return to the WWE last week by taking out both Tazz and Rhyno in the Extreme Preview Match. However, the teaming-up didn’t last long as Tazz and Rhyno argued over who would pin the battered Raven. In the end, in a very controversial ending, Tazz had Raven locked in the Tazzmission and as Raven was about to submit, Rhyno soared with a Gore to Tazz’s back breaking the hold. When Rhyno got back up, he was caught by a Raven Effect out of nowhere from the The Ultimate Loner and pinned for the one two three!

Winner via pin fall and new WWE Extreme Champion: Raven

The WWE Extreme Championship was then lowered and Raven celebrated his victory as Tazz and Rhyno both lay motionless in the middle of the ring.

*Commercial Break*

We come back to see Rob Van Dam in his locker-room getting ready for his match later on against Chavo Guerrero before a knock is heard and a person steps into his locker-room. Eddie Guerrero comes in and asks RVD if he has a minute. RVD stops his preparation and listens to Eddie telling him how his grand father and Chavo’s great-grand father Carlos Sr. Guerrero passed away over the weekend and how the family is very saddened because he was considered the head of the family. Eddie says that even though that happened, Chavo is still here wrestling, that’s why Eddie is here to tell him to keep that in mind. Eddie says that he and Chavo had their own differences in the past but the loss of Carlos Sr. Guerrero really brought the family together to cherish his life. RVD says that he is sorry to hear that and passes his condolences to Eddie, Chavo and the whole Guerrero family, however, WWE is business. When he gets into that ring, it’s all about busting your ass to prove that you are #1; therefore, if he came here to ask him, to lay for Chavo, then he better leaves now before he takes care of him first. RVD gets in the face of Eddie as Guerrero looks to be controlling his temper. Eddie thanks RVD and leaves the locker room. As Eddie leaves, RVD stand in the middle of the locker room with a serious look on his face.

WWE Tag Team Championship #1 Contendership
Dudley Boyz vs. World’s Greatest Tag Team

The Dudleyz and WGTT are both in the ring about to get the match ready, when…

*HERE COMES THE MONEY*

Shane McMahon steps to the stage and says that he has made some last minute changes to this match and added a third team to the match. Shane goes on to introduce… Matt… and… Jeff Hardy… The Hardy Boyz!!!

*LIVE 4 THE MOMENT*

The newly reunited brothers appear on stage doing their customary dance down the ramp clapping hands with the ecstatic and overjoyed fans in the arena. When Matt and Jeff get to the bottom of the ramp, they stop and aim with their hands to the top of the ramp as ‘Lirefurypassionenergy’ by Boy Hits Car plays and out comes… LITA! Lita dances her way down to the ramp and Team Xtreme reunite in the bottom of the ramp and The Hardyz slide inside the ring and Lita remains outside to cheer them on.

WWE Tag Team Championship #1 Contendership
3 Way Dance Tag Team Match
Dudley Boyz vs. World’s Greatest Tag Team vs. The Hardy Boyz w/ Lita

Charlie and Shelton are eliminated first after The Dudleyz deliver a 3D to Charlie Haas. Then, it’s down to the ultimate longtime rivals The Dudleyz and The Hardyz. As it looked like had Matt had D-Von finished with a Twist of Fate, Bubba breaks the maneuver with a low-blow that the referee and nails the Bubba Bomb. Bubba goes for the pin but Jeff breaks it with a Swanton Bomb!! D-Von goes after Jeff and nails him with a hard DDT and goes to the top rope and looks for a big splash but Lita slides in and pulls Jeff out of the way. D-Von chases Lita around and walks right into a Side Effect from Matt Hardy!! Matt climbs to the top rope and nails The Hardy Leg Drop and covers for the one… two… three!! The Hardy Boyz are the #1 Contenders!!

Winners via pin fall and #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles: The Hardy Boyz

The Hardy Boyz and Lita celebrate their win in the ring to a huge ovation from the crowd as we head to another commercial break.

*Commercial Break*

We come back from the break as Chavo Guerrero makes his way down the ramp to the ring with a mixed reaction for his match against ‘The Whole Damn Show’.

*ONE OF A KIND*

Singles Match
Rob Van Dam vs. Chavo Guerrero

Total domination by RVD as Chavo does not look to be in the mood to wrestle and all he does is back away from Rob. At one point, RVD slaps Chavo across the face and tells him to fight like a man and that irritates the young Guerrero who starts mounting away on the multi-time IC Champion. RVD then gets back control of the match and lays Chavo with a Spinning Heel Kick and heads to the top. RVD signals for the 5 Star Frog Splash but Eddie Guerrero slides out from under the ring and low blows RVD before pushing him off the top rope and sends him crashing to the mat. The referee who did not see the action checks on RVD but Chavo struggles back up and nails RVD with a Brainbuster and covers for the cheap one-two-three!

Winner via pin fall: Chavo Guerrero

Chavo exits the ring and throws his elbow pads away on the ramp as he leaves towards the backstage area. Then, Eddie Guerrero slides back inside the ring and chases the referee away and starts taunting Van Dam. Eddie picks RVD up and slaps him across the face and is heard screaming: ‘How do you like it if I picked on you now??’ Eddie gets a hold of RVD and nails The 3 Amigos before heading to the top rope and connecting with Frog Splash on the battered RVD!! Eddie screams at RVD in Spanish as the fans boo the former WWE Champion.

*Commercial Break*

We come back from the break and see a replay of Eddie Guerrero’s actions before heading backstage where we see Chavo Guerrero in his locker room packing up. Eddie comes in joyful and asks his nephew and how he liked the way he ‘punked’ out RVD. Chavo interrupts Eddie and says that this place is really not for him and that he decided to take a break from wrestling and pursue something else. Eddie argues that wrestling is the family’s tradition, but Chavo doesn’t hear him and just exits leaving Eddie standing chocked in the middle of the room.

We head back to the ring as the lights go out and…

*HE’S COMING*

Ludacris’s ‘Act a Fool’ plays as the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion makes his way out to a brand new entrance video and music. Rey enters the ring and grabs a microphone and addresses the crowds. Rey says that last week he able to overcome 5 other cruiserweights to again become the WWE Cruiserweight Champion and that everything was running as he planned to run until Mr. Styles stuck his nose and corrupted his celebration. Rey is guessing that AJ Styles wants a title shot at his belt, but that is not how things work around here in the WWE. If you want a title shot, you have to earn it. This is not TNA or some poor Indy Company where you get paid to perform only. Here if you want to be on top, you have to perform first and then you get paid! Mysterio says that he has chosen the right opponent for Styles to prove himself.

“South Texas Deathride” by Union Underground plays as Paul London marches to the ring and warms up against the ring while Mysterio joins JR and Heenan for commentary. “I am” by Dale Oliver plays and ‘The Phenomenal One’ emerges from the back to a mixed reaction from the fans. Styles walks to the ramp with his casual cocky strut and poses in the apron before tossing away his jacket and coming face to face with London.

Singles Match
Paul London vs. AJ Styles

Styles controls the momentum for most of the match and London is only able to score a few high flying moves. London eventually goes for the London Calling, only Styles is able to get up on time and catch Paul and positions him in Boston Crab before hitting The Styles Clash!!! Styles cockily covers Paul London as the referee counts the three for the victory.

Winner via pin fall: AJ Styles

AJ Styles poses for the fans who greet him with a chorus of boos as his music plays. Suddenly, Mysterio gets up from his position in the announce position and grabs a microphone and says that he might have been mistaken about AJ’s abilities, this is why he spoke to Shane McMahon earlier and was informed that in case AJ wins his debut here tonight, he will be rewarded, and since he did win, his reward will come in a chance to be the #1 Contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Next week, we will have Paul London, the returning Ultimo Dragon and AJ Styles in a Triple Threat Match to determine who will face Rey Mysterio at Lethal Games for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. AJ slightly smirks before flipping the bird to Mysterio and continues posing for the fans that dislike The Phenomenal One’s arrogance.

*Commercial Break*

We come from the break to see the ring set up for The Highlight Reel as the Y2J countdown hits…

*3… 2… 1… BREAK THE WALLS DOWN!*

“King Of My World” by Saliva hits the speakers as Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring to a huge ovation from the capacity crowd. After posing for the fans, Jericho grabs a microphone and welcomes all the Jerichoholics to the first Highlight Reel episode of the year of 2005 in this new era of the history of WWE. Jericho goes on to speak about last week’s Battle Royal that saw Kurt Angle become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, before bring taken down by The Bitch’s new associates and reformed best friends Triple Sucks and Shawn Has-been. Y2J says that his concern tonight is not any of these ass clowns but to discuss the upcoming WWE PPV at the end of the month. Jericho says that he was informed that the Royal Rumble tradition will be put to rest to leave the spotlight for the birth of a new type of encounter here in the WWE called – The Lethal Games! Lethal Games will be the next WWE and the main event of the show will be a Lethal Games match, which will feature 16 WWE superstars fighting it out to determine the #1 Contender for the WWE Championship for Wrestlemania 21. Jericho explains the Lethal Games rules and says that there will be two roulettes present for the match, one will choose between “MATCH” or “BREAK” and one is will choose a number from 1 to 16. In the beginning, two random numbers are picked by the second roulette and the two wrestlers represented by that number will battle out in a straight up wrestling match until someone scores a pin fall or submission or is disqualified or counted out. Then after the match, the first roulette picks whether the winner will have a “BREAK” or another “MATCH” and in this case a number is picked by the second roulette to determine who the wrestler would face next. In case of a break, the winner of the match gets a break and two new random numbers are picked to start a new match. The games continue this way until there is only one survivor out of the 16 wrestlers. Jericho says that this brings him to tonight’s guest of the Highlight Reel, a very good friend of him who eliminated him from the Battle Royal after the two of them worked together – The Toothless Wolverine!

Our Lady Peace’s “Whatever” plays in the speakers as Chris Benoit marches to the ring to a very mixed reaction of mostly boos from the Florida crowd. Benoit enters the ring and addresses Jericho about how he doesn’t like to be toothless and that the next time he brings up that word, he will pay! Jericho tells Benoit to calm down because not only that this Jericho’s show but this segment is specifically designed for him, so he can call him “toothless” “bitter” “ass-clown” “mental retard” or anything he wants, all Mr. Wolverine can do about is… SHUT THE HELL UP!! Jericho tells Benoit that since both of them are in the Lethal Games together, then let him confess something to you. Jericho says that he hopes that them two are the last two men in that match this way Jericho can lock the mighty Walls of Jericho and make him like the bitch that he is and go on to headline his second Wrestlemania. Benoit says that all Jericho does is talk crap and never back it up, everybody knows that this year’s Wrestlemania will have Chris Benoit in the main event and if he disagrees with him, he only has one solution… ‘Prove me wrong!’ says Benoit. Suddenly, the lights go out in the arena and we hear…

*YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME!*

Rob Zombie’s “Never Gonna Stop’ plays as smoke fills up the stage and Edge emerges on stage to a huge ovation from the crowd. Edge stops and points to the back as out walks… Christian!!! The cheers quickly turn into boos as The CLB stands besides his brother and the two of them smile in delight at Jericho and Benoit. Edge pulls out a mic and says that he was sitting the back with his brother talking about their strategy for the Lethal Games since they were both informed that they were entered in the match and they just couldn’t take it anymore listening to two dumb Canadians like Jericho and Benoit arguing over something that they both know is impossible for them to achieve. Edge and Christian march down to the bottom of the ramp as Edge passes the mic to The CLB. Christian says that he’s glad that he and Edge were able to put their differences apart because they realized that together they accomplish more than separate, this is why they plan on working The Lethal Games as a team and as long as one of them comes out victorious, that is the sole goal of the duo. Jericho says that it makes him sick to listen to them talk about working as a team when they know better that this is every man for himself, but quite frankly, we shouldn’t surprised since we are talking about The Homosexuals… I mean E&C, my apology. Suddenly, “Step Up” by Drowning Pool plays and all attention turns to the stage where out comes… RANDY ORTON!! The Legend Killer orders for the music to be cut and asks what is worst than two Canadians arguing, he says it’s easy, the answer is Four! Since he’s in The Lethal Games match, there is no way anyone of them will be able to defeat him; therefore, the challenger for the WWE Title at Wrestlemania 21 won’t be Chris Jericho or Chris Benoit or Edge or Christian!! It will be…

*So… You think you’re UNTOUCHABLE!*

Orton looks shocked as do the rest of the group as all attention turns to the stage where out comes The Doctor of Thugonomics!!!!! The fans go wild crazy for John Cena representing Florida with a Miami Heat Jersey of Shaquille O’Neal #32!!! Cena taunts the crowd before coming face to face with Randy Orton and finishing off his sentence by saying “JOHN CENA!” Cena cuts a rap on Jericho, Benoit, Edge, Christian and Orton about how when they talk, it sounds like a big farm with different animals. Cena says that the Lethal Games are his no matter what anyone says, it’s his time to headline Wrestlemania and it’s his time to be the WWE Champion!! Suddenly, Orton turns and clocks Cena with a cheap mic shot to the head while Benoit catches Jericho by surprise with the Crossface!!! Benoit applies the hold and adds pressure to Jericho but quickly gets jumped by Edge and Christian who lay a double team beating on Benoit and Jericho while Orton takes out Cena with an R.K.O on the stage!!! The show goes to commercials with a shot of Randy Orton standing over John Cena and E&C standing over the beaten Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit.

*Commercial Break*

We come back from the break to see what occurred at the end of the Highlight Reel, and it is announced that next week we are going to see Chris Jericho & Chris Benoit & John Cena vs. Randy Orton & Edge & Christian in a 6-men tag match.

We head the backstage area where we see The Coach standing with the newly formed alliance of Stephanie McMahon, Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Coach asks Stephanie for the reasons why she has aligned herself with The Game and The Heartbreak Kid but she quickly interrupts and tells him to go away because she doesn’t need to hear questions that she already knows. Stephanie faces the camera and says that this message goes out to every WWE Superstar in the building tonight like The Rock and Stone Cold and Superstars are at home like our dearly loved WWE Champion Kurt Angle: “The Bitch is back and she’s badder than ever! After her father had the audacity to pass on 100% of his ownership to Shane and leaving her with nothing but a few backstage tasks to deal with, then she decided that she will take matters with her own hands and get the power she wants herself. From now on, she is to be referred to as Stephanie, not Stephanie McMahon. I’m not a McMahon anymore and I wish I never was. What you see before is the reunion of the most impact-making individuals in the history of wrestling. The trio that stands before will make sure that WWE will live in eternal chaos as long as there is breath running in and out of our lungs. The Bitch, The Game and The Heartbreak Kid form as what shall be known as Anarchy, with anarchy being our ultimate goal. And tonight marks the beginning of our quest of unleashing chaos in the WWE and it just so happens that the next two targets on the line are lined up to face my men right here. Stone Cold, Rock, you should be ready because Anarchy is on the way. Anarchy walks away as the shot fades and we head back to the ring.

*GLASS SHATTTERS*

“Glass Shatters” by Disturbed hits the speakers to a huge ovation from the capacity as The Texas Rattlesnake makes his way to the ring in his usual badass stroll. Austin poses for the fans in all four corners of the ring as the camera flashes fill up the whole atmosphere in the arena.

*IF YA SMELLLLLL… WHAT THE ROCK… IS COOKING!*

The Great One marches to the ring as the cheers and screams continue and the fans raise the roof to the entrance of The Rock. Rocky hops on the apron and poses on the turnbuckle in his customary position before entering the ring and coming eye to eye with Stone Cold. Austin smiles as does The Rock as the duo shake hands to show that they are in this together and bring their attention to the stage. Suddenly, the lights go out in the arena as “Do You Call My Name” by RA starts playing. Three projectors lighten up three positions in the stage as the trio named Anarchy appears on stage. With Stephanie McMahon in the middle, Triple H and Shawn Michael make their way to the ring in the wrestling attire fixing their two opponents in the ring with a lethal look.

Main Event: Tag Match
Triple H & Shawn Michaels w/ Stephanie vs. The Rock & Stone Cold Steve Austin

The clash between these four goliaths was so intense that the referee had a hard time trying to keep each partner in their corner. Stephanie made her presence felt in the match numerous times and as it looked like she was going to fall to a Rock Bottom, Michaels knocked The Rock down at the last moment with a Sweet Chin Music to the face. Before HBK could go for the cover he was caught surprisingly with a Stunner out of nowhere!! Austin was about go after Stephanie but HHH who was the legal man with Austin sneaked behind The Rattlesnake and caught him with The Pedigree for the victory!

Winners via pin fall: Triple H & Shawn Michaels w/ Stephanie

HHH threw the referee out of the ring as Stephanie led him and HBK to lay a double team beating on Stone Cold. Meanwhile, Rock slid to the outside and grabbed a steel chair and went back inside the ring and cracked it across the back of The Game!! Shawn tried to go after Rocky but The Brahma Bull ducked and laid him out with a hard chair shot to the head!!! Rock then turned his attention to Stephanie and grabbed by the hair as she was looking to escape the ring. Suddenly, a huge man climbed to the ring and turned Rock around and laid him out with a huge Chokeslam!!! The gigantic man took off his hood and revealed himself as The Big Show!!! Austin was stumbling back to his feet but Show grabbed him the throat as well and laid him out with a huge Chokeslam!!! Show helped HHH and HBK back to their feet and the trio was joined by Stephanie as Rock and Austin lay motionless in the middle of the ring. Anarchy stood up with their arms high in the air signaling their supremacy as the show went of the air.

WWE Breakdown II
Monday, January 17th, 2005
Florence Civic Center - Florence, South Carolina
Announcers: Jim Ross & Bobby Heenan
Written by: Abdel ‘Phenomenal’ Zerradi

*** Last Week ***
A video package summarizing last week’s first edition of Breakdown as we saw the crowning of the first ever WWE Extreme Champion when Raven defeated Tazz and Rhyno in a Triple Threat match after executing a Raven Effect on Rhyno and pinning him for the victory. Shortly, after that we witnessed the come back of The Hardy Boyz as a tag team with Lita in their corner and after they defeated The Dudley Boyz and The World’s Greatest Tag Team in a 3-Way Dance Tag Team Match, they are going to face The SAT’s at the Lethal Games for the WWE Tag Team Titles. Also, Eddie Guerrero showed his colors after viciously attacking Rob Van Dam after costing him his match against his nephew Chavo who decided later on that he would take a break from wrestling to get his priorities together. Also, we saw the debut of AJ Styles as he went up one-on-one against Paul London with the Cruiserweight Champion Rey Mysterio watching from the outside. Rey then announced that Styles will have to compete in a Triple Threat match on Breakdown II against Paul London and Ultimo Dragon, and the winner will get a title shot at Lethal Games. Next was the first Highlight Reel segment of 2K5 with Chris Benoit as Chris Jericho’s guest for the evening. Sooner afterward Edge, Christian, Randy Orton and finally John Cena came out as everyone argued on who will win the Lethal Games match and get a title shot for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 21. Because of the brawl that occurred during the altercation, a 6-Man Tag Match was issued for Breakdown II with Jericho, Benoit and Cena against Edge, Christian and Orton. Finally, we were introduced to Stephanie’s new group called ‘Anarchy’ with reunited best friends Triple H and Shawn Michaels who were able to pull out a victory in the night’s main event against The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. When these last two wanted to get some payback, The Big show made his come back and took both Rock and Austin and aligned himself with Anarchy.

(The Breakdown logo flashes across the screen followed by the show’s theme song “Aces High” by Iron Maiden playing to a video package showing various WWE wrestlers posing and performing their finishers and some of the most insane moves in the wrestling business. The package ends with a picture of the new WWE chairman Shane McMahon smiling that slowly fades to a shot of Anarchy with Stephanie, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and The Big Show.)

The cameras pan around in the arena as the pyros begin to explode but suddenly we hear a famous beat hit the speakers as “Medal” starts playing!!! The crowds erupt in a huge ovation as Kurt Angle marches to the ring with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship around his waist. Kurt gets in the ring and grabs a microphone and addresses the crowd.

Kurt: Thank you for the warm reception but unfortunately I’m not here to waste anyone’s time. You see, two weeks on WWE Resurrection Day, I overcame 14 other guys in a traditional Battle Royal match. I was the last man standing in that ring and therefore became the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion for the 5th time! Yes, it was my fifth time being WWE Champion, but instead of celebrating my victory, I was shocked to fall victim to Stephanie and her group of allies Triple H and Shawn Michaels, and that is the reason I was missed at last week’s first edition of Breakdown. However, I’m here now and I’m back at a 100% and I only have one thing to say… Payback is a bitch!!

The fans erupt in huge cheers as Kurt takes a breath and paces around the ring. Angle takes off his championship belt from his waist and raises it in the air and faces the stage.

Kurt: Triple H… You had the audacity to jump me from behind after I threw you out of that ring just because you could not stand the fact that I won the belt you worship so much. The belt that you crave to have and will do anything to have around your waist. But, guess what? Your cheap attack didn’t bring you the title because you and everyone can see; it stands here between my hands!!

Suddenly, the lights go out in the arena and “Do You Call My Name” by Ra begins to play. Four spots are lit up on stage as we see the figures of Stephanie, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and The Big Show standing tall in their street clothes. Stephanie orders the music to be cut off and addresses Kurt Angle.

Stephanie: Well, well, well… Look who is back! Welcome back Champ! We really missed you last week! I mean you could see that we missed you so much, we decided to all come out here to show the appreciation that you apparently did not receive after winning the WWE Championship. But, wait a minute; I think it was because of Anarchy why you didn’t get to celebrate or be present at the first Breakdown show. Don’t worry Kurt, it is ok, we will all make it up for you. Just make a wish and we are at you service, champ.

Kurt: Cut the bullshit Stephanie! I didn’t come out here to ask any favors especially not from a bunch of washed up suckers like you!

Triple H snatches the microphone away from Stephanie and steps up.

Triple H: Woohoo, hold it right there Kurt! Steph was being a little to kind when she said that we were at your service and I hope that you didn’t take her seriously. If there is one thing I crave to do, it’s finishing off what I started 2 weeks ago at Resurrection Day. You robbed from that WWE Title because that championship is mine! The WWE Title means Triple H; it certainly doesn’t mean Kurt Angle. So, if you still want to walk again on those legs, I would suggest that you give me a shot at the title or else I’ll just make sure you miss more than just one show next time!

Kurt: Certainly Hunter you desire this Championship more than anything, but I desire something more than you desire this gold, and that desire is to kick that selfish ass of yours and treat you like the bitch that you hang with! As a matter effect, I will give you a shot at the title if that means that I get to rebuild that big ass noise of yours!

Stephanie snatches the microphone away from Triple H and goes to speak, but Big Show steps in and takes the microphone from her.

Show: Excuse me guys, I would like to take care of this matter if you don’t mind. You see I have a very personal problem with Kurt Angle that needs to be settled as soon as possible. You see if some of you recall, it was because of him why I lost my job last year as he and JBL forced me into that match with Eddie and I ended up sitting on the bench from there until now. So, Kurt listen up, I don’t want any title shot or anything, I want you! And I want you one on one!! And I want you tonight!!!!!

Stephanie approaches Big Show who looks be getting enraged.

Stephanie: Easy there Show, don’t lose your temper so easily.

Stephanie turns her attention to Kurt Angle who is standing in the ring leaning against the ropes facing the stage.

Stephanie: It seems to me that the best way to solve this issue is to have a match between Kurt Angle and Big Show, yet at the same time we need to do something about the disagreement between Hunter and …

*HERE COMES THE MONEY*

Before Stephanie can finish her statement, the chairman appears on the TitanTron to a huge pop from the crowds.

Shane: As much as I hate to interrupt your lovely conversation, it seems to me that I have to do something to stop this non sense. Therefore, I say that tonight we will have a special tag team match with Triple H and Big Show against Kurt Angle a partner of his choosing. The reason why this is a special tag team match is because there is a special stipulation.

Shane pauses as the fans pop greatly to the announcement.

Shane: If Triple H and Big Show are able to pull out a victory, then Triple H gets a title shot to Kurt Angle’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Lethal Games and The Big Show gets Kurt Angle next week one-on-one in a No Holds Barred Match!

The fans pop even louder this time as Shane takes another pause.

Shane: In the other hand, if Kurt Angle and his partner are victorious, then Angle gets pick who he would want to face one-on-one at the Lethal Games PPV.

Kurt: Sounds good to me! What do you idiots up there think?

Stephanie: We’re ok with it as long as this takes place tonight in the main event!

Shane: Well then it is official, tonight’s Main Event shall be a tag match between Triple H and The Big Show versus Kurt Angle and a partner of his choosing!

The fans let out a huge pop to the announcement as the show fades to a commercial break with Kurt Angle staring down Anarchy.

*VIVA LA RAZA*

Eddie Guerrero makes his way to the ring in his casual low rider to a huge chorus of boos from the capacity crowd. Godsmack’s “Straight out Of Line” plays and out walks the reigning WWE Extreme Champion Raven for his title defense against Latino Heat.

WWE Extreme Championship
Raven © vs. Eddie Guerrero

Back and forth action between Raven and Eddie Guerrero as both men gets control of the match at one point. Eddie Guerrero goes to the outside and pulls out a ladder to attempt to regain the Extreme Championship hanging above the ring. Eddie sees Raven getting and smashes the ladder on the back of his head!!! Eddie sets the ladder up and climbs to the top, and he is about get a hold of the belt, he changes his mind and flies out with a Frog Splash on Raven!!!! Eddie is down and Raven looks to be out of it but Guerrero eventually makes it back to his feet using the ropes and turns around and…. BAM!! Eddie gets nailed in the face with the ladder by… Rob Van Dam!!! RVD starts pounding on Eddie before picking him and laying him back down with a vicious Clothesline. RVD jumps to the top rope and soars through the air wit ha Five Star Frog Splash on the heart of Latino Heat!! RVD talks smack to Eddie before leaving the ring and backing up the ramp. Meanwhile, Raven gets his senses back together and slowly crawls and throws a shoulder over Eddie for the ONE… TWO… THREE!! Raven retains!

Winner via pin fall and still WWE Extreme Champion: Raven

Raven slowly gets back into his feet as the Extreme Championship is lowered and the Ultimate Loner hugs his belt and exits the ring while Eddie Guerrero slowly gets back to his feet and stares a hole through the Rob Van Dam who is standing tall in the top of the ramp.

We head to the backstage area where we see The Coach standing with Edge, Christian and Randy Orton.

Coach: These gentlemen have required this interview time as they seem to have a message they would like to deliver to their opponents later on tonight. Guys, what do you have in mind?

Edge steps forward and grasps the microphone from The Coach.

Edge: You see we have a message for Jericho, Benoit and Orton. And that message is that tonight here in this lousy town of Florence, South Carolina, we will give all three of them a beating of all beatings. We guarantee that we will be the ones walking out of this place on our feet.

Christian: You see Coach, Jericho might have his own problems with Chris Benoit, which will definitely cause some issues if the two have team up, since they both seem to despise each other. We, on the other hand, have agreed with The Legend Killer to keep The Lethal Games match out of our head and focus on tonight 6-men tag match.

Randy Orton steps forward and seizes the microphone.

Orton: I don’t care what you guys want to do with Chris Jericho or Chris Benoit, as long as you leave me John Cena. That punk needs to be taught a lesson and tonight I will be the teacher and Cena will be the student and I will deliver him the lesson in respecting The Legendary Randy Orton!!!

Orton throws down the mic and walks away as Edge and Christian look on with a confused look in their face before the show goes to another commercial break.

*WWE Breakdown III is the last stop before The Lethal Games, the first WWE Pay-per-view of the year of 2005. Make sure you tune for more announced matches and news concerning The Lethal Games Match.*

We come back from the break and get a quick replay of the match between Raven and Eddie Guerrero, and how Rob Van Dam interfered and cost Latino Heat his chance at the Extreme Championship.

We go backstage and see Eddie Guerrero screaming backstage looking for Rob Van Dam.

Eddie: Where are you Rob!??!! Come out chump!! Come on, where you at esse!?!? You better get your ass out here before…

Eddie suddenly bumps into WWE Chairman Shane McMahon.

Shane: Can I help you Mr. Guerrero?

Eddie: Did you see what RVD did holmes?? Did you see that? He cost me my match against Raven and the WWE Extreme Championship!! He’s not going to get away with it; I can tell you that for sure esse!!

Shane: Calm down Eddie and listen to me. There is something more important that you need to know about. You see I was making the list of competitors who will participate in the Lethal Games Match and I came across your file and I think you deserve a chance to be in that match.

Eddie: Of course, I deserve a chance to be the match esse. I’m a former WWE Champion!! But, I can’t let Rob get one over me like that… I just can’t!!!

Shane: Look Eddie, you might have a chance to settle your differences with Rob Van Dam at the Lethal Games Match because he is going to be in the match as well! So, if you want my advice, go home and take a rest because you really look like you need one, and just for the record, RVD already left South Carolina because he had the night off today and I was very surprised to see him earlier.

Eddie: He left!?!?!?!?! That son of a bitch is gonna pay next time I see him!!!

With that, Eddie storms away from the scene as Shane McMahon just sighs and walks away too.

We come back to the ringside area where Jim Ross and Bobby Heenan are discussing what occurred so far tonight and ad runs hyping the Main Event for tonight with Triple H and The Big Show going up against the WWE Champion Kurt Angle and a partner of his choosing. Suddenly, the arena goes dark and “BAAAAM!” Red fireworks explode in stage as “Slow Chemical” by Finger Eleven begins to play and Kane steps out from the back in his wrestling gear. Kane makes his way to the ring to a huge chorus of boos from the fans. Kane steps over the ropes and grabs a microphone from the ring announcer.

Kane: Two weeks ago was a travesty!! I was robbed of my chance of becoming WWE Champion by that idiot called Brock Lesnar and that put me again in one of those moods that make me want to inflict some serious damage. So Brock, if you think, you are tough enough to jump me from the back and hit me with the F-5. I want to see you come down that ring right now and try doing it while I’m ready and looking at you straight in the face!!!

Seconds after that, the “Here Comes The Pain” theme song starts playing to a huge standing ovation from the fans in attendance. The Next Big Thing steps into the stage and makes his way to the ring in his warm-up pants and an ‘F-5’ sleeveless shirt. Brock steps into the ring and comes nose-to-nose with The Big Red Machine, the two start arguing and shouting abuse at each other before Kane steps back and charges forward with a right hand to the face of Lesnar!! Lesnar doesn’t back down and charges at Kane and the two begin trading rights and lefts in the middle of the ring. Kane goes to whip Lesnar but Lesnar turns into an Irish whip of his own and looks for a Clothesline but instead gets a HUGE Big Boot to the face!!! Lesnar stumbles back up into the hand of Kane who gets a hold of his neck and sends him crashing to the canvas with a huge Chokeslam!!! Kane slides to the outside and gets a steal chair! The Big Red Monster comes back inside the ring and stalks a stumbling Lesnar. Kane swings at Brock’s head but Lesnar moves away at the moment and Kane turns into a kick to the mid section that forces him to drop the chair shot before getting hoisted up Lesnar’s shoulder and sent crashing to the mat with the F-5!!!!! Brock taunts Kane a bit and steps out of the ring and backs up the ramp and Kane just sits up in the middle of the ring. The two exchange a very intense stare as the shot goes to another commercial break.

We come back from the break and a quick replay shows the interaction between Brock Lesnar and Kane and it is announced that both superstars will be part of the Lethal Games Match in two weeks time.

Tag Team Match
Hardy Boyz w/ Lita vs. World’s Greatest Tag Team

Monster Magnet’s “Live For The Moment” plays as Team Xtreme of Matt, Jeff and Lita dance their way to the ring to a huge ovation from the capacity crowd. The trio slides inside the ring and The Hardyz pose on the turnbuckles while Lita remains on the ropes doing the Xtreme sign. The World’s Greatest Tag Team is next to make their entrance to massive heat from the crowds. The bell rings and Matt and Shelton start off the match. WGTT dominate most of the match isolating Matt from his corner. Matt finally makes the hot tag to Jeff Hardy who clears house from The World’s Greatest Tag Team. The referee goes to the outside to check on Charlie Haas who looks to have taken a pretty bad bump from Jeff Hardy’s Clothesline over the top rope. Suddenly out on nowhere, The Dudley Boyz slide inside the ring from behind Jeff Hardy and Hardy turns around and walks right into a 3-D!!!! The fans boo the Dudleyz as they continue to beat on Jeff Hardy and the referee sees this and rings for the bell to signal for the disqualification.

Winners via Disqualification: The Hardy Boyz

However, The Dudleyz continue to beat on Jeff Hardy and Matt who was recuperating in the outside slides back to come to his brother’s help but falls victim to a 3-D himself!!! All of a sudden, The SAT’s come running down to the ring and force the Dudleyz to escape. The SAT’s help Matt and Jeff Hardy back up as the Dudleyz quickly retreat back the ramp. The Hardy Boyz and The SAT’s shake hands in the middle of the ring as the two teams are set to square off at The Lethal Games in a WWE Tag Team Championship Match.

We cut to the backstage area where we see Brock Lesnar in his locker room packing up. Suddenly a knock is heard on his door and Lesnar quickly turns around and brings his guard up to see that it’s… Kurt Angle!

Kurt: Hey Brock.

Brock: Hey Kurt.

Kurt: Listen, I know that you and I weren’t in the best of terms during your last run with the company, but I really need to ask you a favor.

Brock: And that would be?

Kurt: I need a tag team partner for tonight against Triple H and The Big Show. I want to put a stop to Stephanie’s Anarchy group but I know I can’t do it by myself to I’m asking for your help.

Brock: Last time you asked me for a favor was a little over two years and that led me into suspension and not being able to compete for the WWE Championship… A Championship YOU had! Remember Kurt how you screwed me over with Paul Heyman?

Kurt: And you paid me back?? Don’t you remember when YOU turned on me in that cage match with Vince McMahon? The match where you sided with Vince and then went on and beat me for that WWE Championship in a 60 Minutes Iron Man Match.

Brock: I don’t know Kurt… I have too much in my mind now with Kane…

Kurt: Are you telling me that you are afraid of Kane?

Brock: Hell no!! Kane is going to hear from me again very soon. What’s between me and him is nowhere near over.

Kurt: Ok, so what’s stopping you from teaming up with me tonight?

Brock: What’s in it for me?

Kurt: What do you want?

Brock: The same thing I wanted when I helped you beat The Big Show two years ago.

Lesnar quickly taps at Kurt Angle’s WWE World Title belt on his waist. Kurt looks to hesitate.

Kurt: You want a title shot? You got it.

Brock: No, Kurt. Shane McMahon said earlier that if you win tonight’s main event, you get to pick your opponent at The Lethal Games. I want you to pick that opponent, I want you to pick me and I want you do it now!

Angle looks to be thinking very hard and simply says.

Kurt: I’ll have to think about that.

Brock: Put it this way… You go out to that ring before your match and name your opponent for Lethal Games and if you name “the right person”, you will get that right person by your side tonight.

Kurt nods and exits Lesnar’s room as the shot fades to a commercial break.

*WWE Breakdown III is the last stop before The Lethal Games, the first WWE Pay-per-view of the year of 2005. Make sure you tune for more announced matches and news concerning The Lethal Games Match.*

We come back from the break to see The Coach standing by with ‘Y2J’ Chris Jericho in the backstage interview area.

Coach: Welcome back ladies and gentleman, you’re just in time to hear the comments of Chris Jericho concerning tonight’s 6-man tag match. So Chris, what do you have to say about the match itself and the fact that you have to team up with Chris Benoit and John Cena?

Jericho: Well Coach, as everyone already knows me and Benoit have our own share of problems and just because we are on the same team tonight, it does not mean that I will forget about the fact that he was the one to slap The Crossface on me last week. I don’t like Chris Benoit and I never will and I’m going to go into that 6-man tag match tonight and prove to everyone that it doesn’t matter who is my teammates because I will teach Edge and Christian and Randy Orton himself a lesson in the subject of ass-whooping.

Suddenly, the camera turns to the left to see a furious Chris Benoit staring down Jericho.

Jericho: What the hell do you want ass-clown?

Benoit: Look Chris, you were right when you said that we have our own share of problems, but after what happened last week, everybody is been talking about how you intimidated me and made me look some minor league player. So, let me get this one straight for you, I am 4 real and I am not going to wait until after this 6-man tag match to kick your ass. In fact, I’m going to do it right now!!

With that, Chris Benoit swings a right hand at Jericho’s face and the two begin to brawl in the floor. The Coach tries to separate the two but gets knocked down by one of Jericho’s right hands. Benoit throws Jericho head first into the wall and out nowhere John Cena comes and gets between the two Canadians.

Cena: Yo, yo yo yo yo yo… Cut the bullshit ya!!! What the hell is wrong with ya? We got a fuckin’ match coming up next and the two of you are back here kicking each other’s ass, what the hell is this?? Ya better get your shit together cuz I ain’t going out there to play around, I’m talking about going out there to kick some serious of ass of the three sucka’s that jumped us last week. I can care less about the shit between the two of ya but ya better bring your A game tonight cuz I’m not going to tolerate no bullshit!

Benoit and Jericho finally step away from each other and just walk away and different directions as Cena stand there with an irritated look on his face.

The cameras go back to the ringside area where we get ready for the upcoming match to determine the #1 Contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

#1 Contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Title
Triple Threat Match
AJ Styles vs. Paul London vs. Ultimo Dragon

“I am” by Dale Oliver hits the speakers and The Phenomenal One makes his way to the ring to a mixed reaction of boos and cheers from the eternal AJ Styles fans. Styles does his customary posing and warms up against the ropes before his music gets cut off by “South Texas Deathride” by Union Underground as Paul London makes his way to the ring to a nice pop from the fans. London directs the ring with a focused look and slides and warms up in the opposite corner from AJ Styles. “Dragon’s Fury” plays and Ultimo Dragon emerges from the back to a bigger pop from the crowd. Dragon walks down the ramp clapping hands with the fans. Ultimo enters the ring and goes to his own corner as the bell rings to signal the beginning of the bout. The three superstars battle it out in a very fast-paced match with neither man being able to put both of his opponents down at the same time. The ending of the match came when Ultimo had The Dragon’s Sleeper locked on AJ and as it looked look Styles was about to tap out. London broke the hold with a Dropsault to the back of Ultimo’s head knocking him down. As Styles rolled in the floor, London picked Ultimo up and nailed Swinging Side Inverted Neckbreaker before heading to the top rope and signaling for The London Calling. Before, he could execute the move, AJ shook the ropes and London fell groin first into the turnbuckle and Styles spring boarded on the middle rope and knocked him off the top with an Enziguri to the side of the head. Styles then jumped on the top rope and a executed a Spiral Tap on the fallen Ultimo Dragon and hooked the leg for the three-count victory!

Winner via pin fall and #1 Contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Title: AJ Styles

AJ Styles has his hand raised by the referee to a very mixed reaction from the crowds. Suddenly, the mixed reaction turn into huge pops as the WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rey Mysterio appears on stage with his championship belt on his shoulder. Mysterio stares down Styles who gives Rey the sign that he’s next and that he is coming for his belt.

We come back from the break and the ring is already filled with the 6 superstars participating in the 6-Men Tag match.

6-Men Tag Match
Chris Jericho & Chris Benoit & John Cena vs. Edge & Christian & Randy Orton

The match was outstanding as the switching and tagging lasted for the majority of the match. E & C and Orton were able to corner out John Cena from his teammates and The Doctor of Thugonomics almost fell victim to an R.K.O from Orton but he was able to stop the maneuver at the last moment and connect with a DDT before making the tag to Y2J who cleaned house from Edge, Christian and Randy Orton. Jericho then soared through the air with a Plancha over the top rope on all three of his opponents. Edge then was able to back into his feet and catch Jericho with a Spear in the outside!!! Meanwhile, Chris Benoit just stood in his corner and did not come to the aid of Jericho and instead just left his team’s corner and made his way to the top of the ramp. Cena then went and tried to provide Jericho with some help but the numbers game were too much for the two. The legal man Jericho fell to an Unprettier by Christian and as The CLB went for the cover, Cena was able to capitalize by breaking the pin and nailing Christian with the F-U!! However, Randy came from behind and nailed Cena with a cheap low blow behind the referee’s back who was trying to stop Edge from coming into the ring. Randy then picked Jericho up and nailed the R.K.O for the ONE-TWO-THREE!!

Winners via pin fall: Randy Orton & Edge & Christian

Orton and E & C exited the ring and celebrated in the bottom of the ramp while Jericho and Cena slowly made their way back to their feet and stared a hole through Chris Benoit who stood at the top of the ramp with a slick smirk on his face.

*Final Break*

We came back after the final break and got a quick replay of the ending of the 6-men tag match and how Chris Benoit abandoned Jericho and Cena in the middle of the match.

Main Event: Tag Match
Kurt Angle & ??? vs. Triple H & Big Show w/ Stephanie & Shawn Michaels

“Medal” hit the speakers for the second time tonight and out came the WWE Champion Kurt angle to a loud ovation from the fans. Kurt made his way to the ring and grabbed a microphone and addressed the crowds.

Kurt: Before we get this match started, I have made my decision about who will be my opponent at The Lethal Games “when” I defeat Triple H and Big Show tonight. This man in my eyes is very deserving of this title shot as he’s already a 3-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Ladies and gentlemen, my opponent at Lethal Games will be… ‘The Next Big Thing’ BROCK LESNAR!!!

With that the “Here Comes The Pain” theme song blasts the P.A. system to a huge ovation from the capacity as Lesnar makes his way our in his wrestling gear keeping his promise to be Angle’s partner if he picked to be his opponent at the Lethal Games. Lesnar enters the ring and comes face to face with Kurt Angle before striking a brief smile and a nod of respect. Suddenly, “Do You Call My Name” by Ra plays and the group of Anarchy comes out led by Triple H and Big Show in their wrestling gear and Stephanie and Shawn Michaels right behind them. The faction enters the ring and the referee senses that Stephanie and HBK at ring side can cause some conflicts in the bout and orders them to go back to the locker room. Stephanie seems reluctant to obey in the beginning but HHH eventually convinces her that he and Show got this under control. Lesnar and Show kick off the match and the two have had their own share of differences in the past back in late 2002 and early 2003. The match is basically in favor of neither team as the clash of all four superstars is very stirring. As it looked like Big Show had the match sealed after a Chokeslam on Lesnar, Kurt jumped and broke the pin fall which causes HHH to enter the ring as well and all hell broke louse with all 4 superstars fighting in the middle of the ring and the referee trying desperately to put some order back. Kurt dropped HHH with a Belly-To-Belly and turned his attention to Show who was about to Chokeslam Lesnar for the second time. Kurt stopped the move with a hard forearm shot to the back of Show’s head and Lesnar and Kurt double teamed the giant in an effort to put him. However, the 7 footer refused to go down easily and was able to Power Slam Kurt Angle to the outside!!! Show screamed to demonstrate his power but Lesnar used the chance to catch Show with a boot to the midsection followed by a very wicked looking F-5!!! Conversely, the referee was trying to keep HHH out of the ring and did not see Lesnar covering Show. Furthermore, neither the referee nor Lesnar saw Kane slide inside the ring and get a hold of Lesnar’s throat before sending him crashing to the canvas with a huge CHOKESLAM!!!! Kane quickly left the ring and Show slowly crawled to his corner where he tagged in The Game who right after the unsteady Brock and nailed him with The Pedigree!!! Trips hooked the leg and the referee counted the one, two and three!!

Winners via pin fall: Triple H and Big Show
Therefore, Triple H is the #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Title, and Big Show gets Kurt Angle on Breakdown III in a No Holds Barred match.

Stephanie and HBK quickly run down and come to assist HHH and Show and help them back to their feet, while Kurt lies in the outside in pain and Lesnar motionless in the middle of the ring. Anarchy retreat back the ramp and celebrate their victory as the show goes off the air for the third time with the hands of Anarchy raised high up in the air and all members standing tall.

WWE Breakdown III
Monday, January 24th, 2005
Phillips Arena - Atlanta, Georgia
Announcers: Jim Ross & Bobby Heenan
Written by: Abdel ‘Phenomenal’ Zerradi

*** Last Week ***
A video highlighting the events from Breakdown II plays reminding the fans the actions that occurred last week in South Carolina. The show kicked off with the return of the WWE Champion Kurt Angle who called out Anarchy, the group that was responsible for him being out for the first episode of Breakdown. Then, we saw Raven successfully defend his newly won Extreme Championship against Eddie Guerrero after Rob Van Dam gave Latino Heat a taste of what it feels like to have someone cost you a match that you have sealed up to win. Kane also made his return last week when he called out Brock Lesnar who he blames for not winning the battle royal back in WWE Resurrection Day. The two had their moment of brawling with Lesnar laying Kane out with an F-5. The rivalry between The Hardyz and The Dudleyz saw a renewal when Bubba and D-Von attacked Matt and Jeff during their match up against the World’s Greatest Tag Team, but it was The SAT’s, The Hardyz’ opponents at the Lethal Games, whom came to the aid of the duo from Team Xtreme. ‘The Phenomenal One’ AJ Styles earned a title shot for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship after outsmarting Paul London and Ultimo Dragon in a Triple Threat #1 Contender Match. The 6-Men tag match between Jericho, Benoit and Cena against Edge, Christian and Orton turned out to be a 2-on-3 Handicap match when Benoit walked out on his partners halfway through the match and Y2J and Cena were left to battle the trio of Edge, Christian and Orton by themselves. In the main event of the night, Kurt angle and Brock Lesnar teamed up against Triple H and The Big Show. Angle would get to name his opponent for The Lethal Games PPV if he was to win and if he was to lose, Triple H will get a title shot at the Lethal Games and The Big Show will get Kurt in a No Holds Barred matchj at Breakdown III. Angle convinced Lesnar to team up with him in return of naming him as the opponent for The Lethal Games. At the end, HHH was the one to come out victorious, but it was thanks to The Big Red Machine Kane who laid Lesnar out with a Chokeslam in a form of payback from earlier in the night.

The pyros explode and the cameras pan around the sold out Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia as WWE Breakdown III kicks off with “Aces High” by Iron Maiden playing in the background. The music slowly fades as a picture of WWE Chairman Shane McMahon appears on the TitanTron.

Shane: Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the third episode of WWE Breakdown. Tonight is the last stop before the first WWE Pay-per-view of the year and speaking of The Lethal Games. I have a very important announcement to make. You see I decided that the numbers of the participants in The Lethal Games match will remain at 10; however, I was informed earlier that after the attack by Kane last week, Brock Lesnar will not be able to compete this Sunday; so therefore, there is one more spot open in the match, I took it upon myself to give that spot to a returning WWE Superstar who IS HERE TONIGHT!! I will keep the suspense for a couple of more hours and let him introduce himself to you later on in the night. In other notes, right after I am done with my speaking, you will see Rhyno and Tazz square off in a one-on-one match to determine the #1 Contender for Raven’s Extreme Championship and the winner will get their title shot this Sunday at The Lethal Games. Enjoy the rest of the night and thank you for choosing the WWE as your wrestling source of entertainment.

The fans pop big time as we hear The Man Beast’s theme song play in the loudspeakers and Rhyno makes his way to the ring to a nice pop from the capacity crowd.

#1 Contender for WWE Extreme Title – Winner gets title shot at The Lethal Games
Rhyno vs. Tazz

Tazz is next to come out to a nice pop as well and makes his way to the ring and the bell sounds to announce the beginning of the match. The two men square off in a brutal encounter to prove who is hardcore enough to get a shot at the Extreme Championship. After a long brutal battle, Rhyno was climbing up the ladder to grab the contract for the title shot hanging high above the ring, but Tazz climbed from behind him and locked in the Tazzmission on the ladder!!!!! Tazz held on to Rhyno who was trying desperately to fight off the submission hold. Rhyno eventually lost balance and went crashing to the mat and Tazz continued climbing the ladder and as he grabbed the contract, Rhyno miraculously staggered back to his feet and launched towards the ladder full force knocking it with The Gore!!!! Tazz collapsed head first into the mat and looked to be knocked out as Rhyno who was holding onto his bleeding shoulder slowly crawled towards Tazz and made the cover for the three count victory!!!

Winner via pin fall and #1 Contender for the WWE Extreme Championship: Rhyno

The contract was slowly lowered and Rhyno got a hold of it and signed his name to a nice ovation from the capacity crowd. Suddenly, the lights went out in the arena and “Straight out of Line” by Godsmack hit the speaker. When the lights came back on, Raven was standing on the top of the stage with his Extreme Championship around his waist and staring down The Man Beast in the ring who responded with a cold glare of his own.

*Kurt Angle… The WWE Champion. Triple H… The #1 Contender. The Lethal Games… The clash of the two! One filled with greed and hunger and one ready to face any consequence. This Sunday LIVE from The AstroDome in Houston, Texas. ‘The American Hero’ Kurt Angle defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against ‘The Game’ Triple H. Only one can walk with the belt around his waist.*

We return from the break and get a quick replay of the outcome of the Tazz and Rhyno match and we see Tazz being wheeled away after the match by EMT’s as he seem to have been seriously injured after his fall from the top of the ladder.

We are taken backstage where The Coach is standing by the reigning WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rey Mysterio with the Breakdown logo behind the set.

Coach: Rey Mysterio, we are minutes away from your non-title match up with Paul London who claims to have the ability to defeat regardless of the title being on the line.

Rey: Coach, London can makes all the claims he wants, man. The fact remains that I am the WWE Cruiserweight Champion, which basically means I’m the best cruiserweight the company has to offer. So London…

Rey stops short as a figure appears behind Coach and the camera turns to reveal the person as AJ Styles!!

AJ: You know I hate to interrupt your moment of self-expression, but I think you seem to forget that you have a date with The Phenomenal One this Sunday, and quite frankly, you should be more worried about your title defense at Lethal Games, than about some punk like London.

Rey: You see AJ that is exactly the reason why you’re not gonna take this belt this Sunday. Your arrogance and bitterness is going to cost you the match because I will give your credit for talent but that attitude is not something you would find in a real Champion.

AJ: This attitude is the right attitude to survive as a Champion, and to prove you wrong, I promise you right now that I will be walking out of Lethal Games with your belt. I’ll let you handle your mini-business with London while I sit back and do some little scouting for my match.

With that, AJ Styles walks away and Mysterio just stands with a very serious look on his face as the shot fades.

Non-Title Tag Match
The SAT’s vs. Dudley Boyz

The D-Bombs drop as the multi times tag team champions make their way to the ring to their new entrance song “Turn The Tables” by Flaw. The Dudleyz get a very negative reaction after their interference in the match between The Hardy Boyz and The World’s Greatest Tag Team last week on Breakdown II. “Dale Don Dale” by Don Omar blasts the speakers as The SAT’s make their way to the ring as the WWE Tag Team Champions to a great reaction from the capacity crowd in The Philips Arena. Jose and Joel slide inside the ring and start posing for the fans before getting jumped from behind by The Dudleyz. The brawl between the team continues as the referee is trying to regain some order by ordering each member of each team to regain their corner so the match can begin officially. Finally, it’s Bubba and Jose who will start the match and the two square off in the middle of the ring. The match continues in the favor of the veterans who use the size advantage to overpower The Maximo Brothers. Finally, as it looked like The Maximos were about to regain the momentum, Bubba distracted the referee as D-Von ran around the ring and cheap shot Jose who was standing in the apron trying to tag himself in. Bubba then continued to work on Joel as the 10 minutes mark reached. Suddenly, The Hardy Boyz ran in and started brawling with The Dudleyz and the referee declared the match a no contest.

Winner: No Contest

The Hardyz were able to put The Dudleyz away as Bubba was tossed to the outside and D-Von received a Twist of Fate from Matt Hardy followed by a Swanton Bomb from Jeff Hardy!!! The Hardyz stood over the Dudleyz as The SAT’s slide back into the ring and come face to face with the #1 Contenders. The SAT’s complain about how The Hardyz interfered in their match and shortly the two teams start exchanging blows. A group of referees and officials run to the ring and separate the two teams.

*The Royal Rumble was one of the WWE’s oldest traditions… However, 2005 shall mark the beginning of a new tradition… The Lethal Games! 10 superstars will compete in a Lethal Rules match until there is one man left. That man will get to go to Hollywood, headline Wrestlemania 21 and receive a title shot for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship! WWE Lethal Games LIVE from The AstroDome in Houston, Texas Sunday, January 30th, 2005 at 8:00 PM Eastern Time.*

We come back fro the commercials and get a quick recap of the interaction between The Hardy Boyz and The SAT’s and the screen shows the teams will square off at The Lethal Games for the WWE Tag Team Titles.

We go backstage and see The Coach standing with the WWE World Heavyweight champion Kurt angle.

Coach: Kurt Angle, tonight you step into the ring with The Big Show. Now, this isn’t any ordinary match, this is a No Holds Barred match. We all know that The Big Show will be looking to achieve some retribution after the rivalry you two have developed the past year. My question is what is going on through your mind heading into this match, while at the same time you have to get ready for title defense this Sunday against Triple H?

Kurt: Well Coach, you seem to forget the fact that I am Kurt Angle and that I’m an Olympic gold Medalist. I’ve spent all my life preparing for matches and bouts. I’m not going to say that the match with The Big Show is going to be a piece of cake nor that the match with Triple H is a walk in the park. But, just because something is difficult, it does not mean that it’s impossible. Take the battle royal at Resurrection Day, it was difficult for me to come out on top but I still did it, which proves my point that nothing is impossible. However, I’m not too concerned about Triple H tonight as I have my mind set on The Big Show. My date with HHH is for Sunday but tonight is tonight and tonight, Kurt Angle guarantees victory and will bring nothing but that, that’s why I’m Kurt Angle and that’s why I’m the WWE Champion.

Kurt walks off the scene as the cameras head back to the ring where Our Lady Peace’s “Whatever” begins to play. The Rabid Wolverine emerges from the back and head to the ring to deafening chorus of boos and jeers. Benoit enters the ring and demands a microphone and addresses the crowds.

Benoit: You idiots better start showing some respect around here or I’m just going to have to beat it out of each one of you!!!

The boos continue as Chris Benoit paces around the ring with a heated look on his face.

Benoit: I didn’t come out here to deal with you people, so I’m going to get straight to the point. There is a person back there that is a set target for me, and I will not sleep at night until I prove my point. Chris Jericho thinks that he can hang in The Crippler’s league and that’s the main reason why I walked our of the 6-Men Tag Match last week. Chris Jericho is not in my league and does not deserve to be in the same team as me if he’s not at the same level. I can care less about tag matches and team matches, because all I concern about is ME! I, Chris Benoit, have a goal for the year of 2005 and that goal is not too different from last year’s goal, and that is to headline Wrestlemania 21 and come out with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship around my waist just like I did last year in New York City. It seems to me that even after winning the big one, people still don’t think that I am 4 Real. Well, I’ll tell you this… Chris Benoit IS 4 real and I will prove it to each one of you when I win the Lethal Games Match this Sunday and become the #1 Contender for the WWE Championship for Wrestlemania!!!

*So… You Think You’re UNTOUCHABLE!!*

The crowd erupts in a huge ovation as John Cena walks to the stage in an Atlanta Hawks’ Kevin Willis Jersey #42 and a microphone in hand. Cena stares down Benoit in the ring and goes on to speak.

Cena: Hold it just right there Benoit…You seem to be getting things a little mixed up lately. Apparently, you don’t remember that when you walked out of the match last week, you didn’t just walk out on Chris Jericho but you also walked out on The Doctor of Thugonomics… ME! I don’t let shit like that slide off too quick bro, and if you think that you can get away with shit like and come out and brag about how you don’t care about anyone but yourself and that you wanna be WWE Champion, then you’re wrong cuz you’re the only One Man Gang around here. You see I was never in a tag team for one reason and one reason only and that’s because I always get shit done by myself but last week I made a mistake and trusted you into that match and look where it got me. I got outnumbered but that’s off the point. Benoit, you say you have a problem with Jericho, well that problem is gonna have to wait cuz as of right now; John Cena has a problem with YOU!!

Benoit: Really Cena? You too think you’re in my league? Well, I don’t think so you just gonna have to prove me wrong!!

Cena: Simple Benoit, it goes like this. You and me, one on one, here tonight!!

The crowds erupt in huge cheers after Cena’s challenge to Chris Benoit for tonight.

Benoit: Even though my main concern right now is kicking Jericho’s ass, but I think I can put that on hold for now and take care of your little ass. So, me and you rongiht, I say you’re ON!

Cena: I guess we’ll just gonna have to wait and find out who’s gonna take care of who.

John Cena and Chris Benoit engage in an intense stare down as the shot fades into another commercial break.

*Commercial Break*

We come back from the ring and hear “South Texas Death Ride” by Union Underground playing as Paul London makes his way to the ring for his match up with Rey Mysterio.

*HE’S COMING*

“Act a Fool” by Ludacris cuts off London’s theme as the WWE Cruiserweight Champion jumps up on the stage with his belt around his waist to a HUGE pop from the fans. Mysterio walks to the ring clapping hands with the fans and slides inside the squared circle and poses on all four turnbuckles.

Non-Title Match
Paul London vs. Rey Mysterio

The bell sounds to signal the beginning of the bout and the two cruiserweights square off. The match takes a very fast paced path from the beginning as both London and Mysterio try to outwear each other with different types of suplexes and arm drags. London catches Rey Rey with a Dropsault that knocks the Champ down and Paul is able to gain control of the match. London continues to leash out his attacks on Mysterio who tries to desperately to regain the momentum. Eventually, The Flying Fury counters one of London’s Power Bomb attempts into a Bulldog and is able to go for his first pin of the match but London is able to kick out. The match continues in favor of Mysterio until the 6 minutes mark when AJ Styles comes walking the ramp to a huge chorus of boos. Mysterio notices Styles and starts screaming at him to stay away from the ring and AJ continues to walk towards the ring with his cocky strut. It took Rey a second glance and a verbal interaction with Styles for Paul London to catch him off guard and nail him with a Tornado DDT. London then head to the top rope signaling for The London Calling but AJ came from behind and pushed him off the ropes and London went crashing to the mat. The referee then called for the bell to end the match in disqualification in favor of Paul London.

Winner via Disqualification: Paul London

AJ then went to where the ring announcer is and grabbed and steal chair and entered the ring. Rey Mysterio stumbled back to his feet and got nailed hard in the back by a chair shot from AJ!!! Mysterio went down and Styles turned his attention to a recovering London and cracked him on the skull down with a chair shot as well!!! AJ then picked Mysterio up and positioned him in a Piledriver position before hooking his legs behind Rey’s hands and nailing him with The Styles Clash!!!! Styles went to the outside again and grabbed the Cruiserweight Championship belt and brought it to the ring. AJ kneeled down to Rey and whispered that this belt will be his come this Sunday before throwing the belt on top of him and walking out of the squared ring. Styles made his way to the back to a chorus of boos and jeers from the crowds as “I am” by Dale Oliver played in the speakers.

*Commercial Break*

We come back from the break and get a quick recap of the actions of AJ Styles during the Rey vs. London match up. An ad runs hyping up the main event for tonight, which will be Chris Benoit vs. John Cena and also still come is the anticipated No Holds Barred non-title match between WWE Champion Kurt Angle and The Big show.

*HERE COMES THE PAIN*

The Next Big Thing’s theme song plays on the speakers to a HUGE pop from the capacity crowd but Brock does not come out and instead appears on the TitanTron via Satellite from his home in Minnesota. Lesnar waits for the cheers to settle down before he speaks.

Lesnar: I couldn’t have wished anything more than being there to hear the screams and cheers of the WWE fans there in Atlanta, Georgia… *Huge fan pop* But unfortunately, I have sit at home for a good two weeks after Kane’s Chokeslam last week on Breakdown II.

A quick replay of Kane interfering in the show’s main event from last week is shown and we see Lesnar landing awkwardly on his back and then transported by the EMTs in a stretcher after the show went of the air.

Lesnar: As you can see, Kane almost ended my career there but everyone knows that it takes more than just taking a bad bump for me to go down, and if you don’t believe me, you might want to go rent Wrestlemania 19. Sitting at home thinking about Kane just makes me more livid and angry than I already am. He might have ruined my chance to participate in the Lethal Games Match and get the chance to headline Wrestlemania 21, but it does not mean that he is going to get away with it. So listen up you Big Red Retard, because what I’m about to say is something you really ought to hear and understand…

Brock pauses a bit before going on.

Lesnar: It could be in the ring. It could be backstage. It could be the street. Or hell, it could even be at your own home. Wherever you are, you should feel in danger. You talk about causing chaos and making people’s lives miserable, well so far I’ve only seen you display that strength on people not your size. But, that is going to change… You see Kane; you just signed yourself into a combat that you will not win. You just signed yourself into a war that you will come out the loser from. You just signed yourself to a beating by ‘The Next Big Thing’… Brock… Les-nar!

The shot of Brock Lesnar fades as the fans are heard screaming and cheering and coming up next is the No Holds Barred Match that was made in consequences of last week’s main event. Kurt Angle… The Big show… No Holds Barred… It’s all next!

*Sunday, January 31st, 2005… Tune for the fallout from the first WWE Pay-per-view of 2005 The Lethal Games. Live from the American West Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, WWE brings to you… Breakdown IV!!!*

We come back from the break and we head straight to the ring for the Semi-Main Event of the evening.

*WELLLLLLLL… WELL IT’S THE BIG SHOW!!!!*

Suddenly, pyros explode in the stage and “Do You Call My Name” by Ra hits the speakers as the largest member of Anarchy and WWE altogether makes his way to the ring with Stephanie by his side. Show enters the ring and does his customary hand raising pose to huge boos from the capacity crowd. All of a sudden, “Medal” hits the speakers and the boos turn into cheers as out comes the reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle with a much serious look on his face, as he looked pumped up and ready for this match.

No Holds Barred
Kurt Angle vs. The Big Show

Kurt does his customary posing in the middle of the ramp and continues his way to the ring where he enters and spins around himself to huge cheers from the fans. Show just stands in the corner staring down the Champ who takes off his championship belt from around his waist and hands it over to the referee. The bell sounds and the bout begins with a lock up that Big Show quickly turns into a side head lock using his power advantage. The match continues in the ring with the 7-footer dominating most of the action and every time he goes for the pin fall, Kurt finds a way to either kick out or grab a hold of the ropes. Shortly, the action spills to the outside when Show clotheslines Kurt over the top rope. Show continues to deliver a beating to The Champ and the turning point comes when The Big Show tries to send Angle into the post but Kurt slides behind Show’s back and the big man connects head first with the metallic structure instead!!! Kurt seizes a steel chair and starts pounding on the 500 pounder’s back with it to gain some momentum. Kurt then picks Show up and delivers a German Suplex to a huge pop from the capacity!!!! Stephanie who is watching from ring side is surprised to see The Big Show handled in such a way and has a shocked look in her face. Kurt then slides Show back into the ring and locks in a sleeper hold to try to wear out the big man. However, Show refuses to give up and finds a way back to his feet still in the hold and just nails Kurt down with a Snapmare. Show then picks Kurt up and goes for a Chokeslam to try to end the match but Kurt counters by rolling over Show and catching him in a School Boy!!! The referee administers the count but Show is able to power out before the third count. The former WWE Champion looks to be losing his temper and unleashes an offense on the Olympic Gold Medalist by laying him out with some huge chops to the chest area. Show again dominates the next minutes of the bout until he goes for another Chokeslam, but Kurt finds a way to stop it again and this time Show ends up in the Ankle Lock!!!! Show is screaming in agony while Angle continues to put pressure on Show’s ankle and even after the big man reaches the ropes, Kurt Angle won’t let go of the hold. However, Kurt goes down hard after a chair shot from… Stephanie!!!! Stephanie screams at Kurt to get back up and as he does she swings but Kurt is able to get ah old of the chair this time and stares the Anarchy leader with a furious look!! Kurt throws the chair away and goes to choke Stephanie but he gets nailed down from behind with a low blow from… Triple H!!!!! Hunter starts mounting on the WWE Champion with punches before connecting a kick to the gut and delivering The Pedigree!!! Soon after that, Shawn Michaels enters the ring and the duo start beating on the fallen Champ and Stephanie assists The Big Show who makes his back to his feet but still staggers to stand up. HHH and HBK bring a battered Kurt to The Big Show who delivers a HUGE Chokeslam that sends Kurt crashing hard on the mat!! Show hooks the leg and the referee makes the count… ONE… TWO… THREE!!!

Winner via pin fall: The Big Show

Anarchy celebrates in the middle of the ring but The Big Show and signals that it’s not over and hoists Kurt back up to his feet and delivers another huge Chokeslam!! HHH holds Kurt back up as Shawn Michaels skips his way to the Champ and connects with a Sweet Chin Music to the chin of Kurt!!!! The trio stands over the fallen Kurt Angle until…

*IF YA SMELLLLL… WHAT THE ROCK… IS COOKING!!!!!*

The whole arena explodes in a huge standing ovation as The Great One runs down the ramp and enters the ring and starts nailing out the Anarchy members one after the other. Rock clotheslines HHH over the top rope and turns to meet The Big Show who goes for a Chokeslam on The People’s Champ but Rock delivers a hard kick between the legs of the big man to a huge “OOO” from the capacity crowd. Rocky shouts at The Big Man and turns his attention to Stephanie who stands in the corner of the ring. Rock goes after the Anarchy leader but turns right into a Sweet Chin Music from Shawn Michaels!!! Eventually, Show makes his back to his feet and HHH enters the ring again and the trio starts mounting on The Rock. Show delivers a Chokeslam to The Rock and as HHH is about hit The Pedigree…

*GLASS SHATTERSSSSS*

The boos quickly turn into huge cheers as The Texas Rattlesnake emerges from the back with a steel pipe in hand and makes his way to the ring. Stone Cold enters the ring and chases HHH and The Big Show away but Shawn Michaels is trapped inside the ring with The Texan who levels with a lead pipe shot to the head followed with the infamous Stone Cold Stunner!!! HBK rolls out of the ring and is helped up by the rest of the Anarchy members who retreat up the ramp as Stone Cold heads to the other side of the ring and demands a microphone.

Austin: It seems to me like this little anarchy group right here isn’t as unstoppable as they say they are. *WHAT?* so, here is how it’s going to be *WHAT?* since that Double-XL nose sized has a match with Kurt Angle at The Lethal Games *WHAT?* Why don’t you two come to this ring this Sunday against me and this man laying right here *WHAT?* It doesn’t seem like you understand what I’m trying to so I’m going to make my self a little bit more clear *WHAT?*

Austin comes towards the ropes and adjusts his voice with a loud “Ahmm”.

Austin: This Sunday *WHAT?* At the Lethal Games *WHAT?* Pay-per-view *WHAT?* Stone Cold Steve Austin *WHAT?* and The Rock *WHAT?* will open *WHAT?* the biggest and nastiest *WHAT?* can of whoop-ass *WHAT?* on The Big Show *WHAT?* and Shawn Michaels!!!

The fans pop hugely to the announcement as the four members of Anarchy retreat back to the ramp and Austin and a stumbling Rock stand tall in the ring before attending to the fallen WWE Champion. The shot fades with The Rock and Austin raising Kurt Angle up to a huge standing ovation fro the crowd in the Philips Arena.

We come back from the break and a summarized replay of the outcome of the No Holds Barred match between The Big Show and Kurt Angle is shown with Anarchy laying a beating on the Champ before The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin run in for the save.

We go back to the ring where it is time for the main event of the night…

“Whatever” by Our Lady Peace hits the speakers as ‘The Crippler’ Chris Benoit makes his way to the ring in his wrestling gear to a huge chorus of boos. Benoit flips off one of the fans by ringside before entering the squared circle and warming up against the ropes.

*So… You Think You’re UNTOUCHABLE!!*

John Cena makes his way to the ring to an ear-shattering ovation from the capacity crowd. Cena fixes the ring where Chris Benoit stands staring his opponent down as he walks towards the ring.

Main Event:
Grudge Match
Chris Benoit vs. John Cena

Cena slides inside the ring and goes at it with The Rabid Wolverine as the two trade right hands in the middle of the ring. Neither superstar seems to be able to get the upper hand in the match as the two continue to battle it out trading arm drags and clotheslines. Benoit sends Cena to the corner and looks for a flying forearm but Cena moves to the site and Benoit rebounds on the turnbuckle into a kick to the gut from Cena followed by a DDT. Cena gains some momentum by hammering at Benoit with some chops into the corner and The Crippler responds with some chops of his own to reverse the offense. The match continues with neither man able to seize full control of their opponent. Benoit goes for a German Suplex but Cena reverses into a Russian Leg Sweep and goes for the pin but Benoit is able to kick out. Midway through the match, Benoit misses an attempt at the Flying Head butt as John moves out of the way. Cena then picks Benoit up and goes for the F-U but Benoit is able to hold on to Cena’s arm. Cena spins Benoit around and Chris knocks the referee down with his leg by accident. Benoit then rolls Cena down and locks in The Cripper Crossface!! Benoit continues to pull on Cena’s neck but the former U.S. Champion eventually fights his way out of it and nails Benoit with a shot to the face. Cena then picks Benoit up and goes for the F-U and nails it!!! Cena covers but there is no referee to make the count. Suddenly, Randy Orton comes running down the ramp and slides behind Cena who turns right into an R.K.O!!! Orton starts beating on Cena as Benoit eventually makes his way back to his feet and join Orton in the assault.

*BREAK THE WALLS DOWN*

The countdown is skipped as Chris Jericho’s music plays and Y2J comes running down to the ring. Jericho slides inside the ring and ducks a punch from Orton before connecting with a Clothesline!! Jericho gets grabbed from the waist by Benoit who goes for a German Suplex but Y2J is able to roll through and catches Benoit in the Walls of Jericho!!! Benoit starts tapping as he is locked in Jericho’s submission but Y2J sees Orton getting back up and lets go of Benoit and connect with an Enziguri to the back of Orton’s head knocking him out of the ring over the top rope!!! Jericho turns his attention back to Benoit and… BAM!!! Gets knocked down by a Spear from EDGE!!!! E & C who came through the crowd are both in the ring now pounding on Jericho. Christian slides to the outside and gets two steel chairs. E&C prepare to nail Chris Jericho with a Con-Chair-To but all of a sudden, the sounds of drums blast on the P.A. system. All attention is turned to the stage where smoke fills up the entrance ramp and the crowd roars like wild animals as GOLDBERG EMERGES FORM THE SMOKE!!!! Da Man exhales the smoke out of his nose and mouth as walks down the ramp to the ring. Goldberg enters the ring and Edge is the first to go down with a hard kick to the head. Christian tries to run at Goldberg but the hometown hero nearly breaks his body in half with a sick looking SPEAR!!!! Goldberg grabs Christian and hoists him back up and hooks his head in headlock before raising his left arm and doing a slow cut throat with his finger. Goldberg picks Christian up in the air and nails him with The Jackhammer!!! Edge, Christian and Chris Benoit lay in the ring and Orton outside as Goldberg stands tall in the ring. Goldberg walks over to the ropes and grabs a microphone from the ring announcer and addresses the crowd.

Goldberg: Shane McMahon needed a 10th participant for the Lethal Games match this Sunday. He remembered that this show takes place in Atlanta, Georgia: The home of the meanest most animalistic wrestler in the history of wrestling. The home of ‘Da Man’… The home of BILL GOLDBERG!!!!

The crowds blow the roof off with cheers as Goldberg walks around the ring looking at the carnage he caused.

Goldberg: This scene is just a preview of what is in store of everyone come Sunday because at The Lethal Games, I will be that 10th participant and walk into this ring and destroy every obstacle that comes in front me because as of right now, everyone in the Lethal Games Match… IS NEXT!!!!

Goldberg throws down the microphone and poses in the ring for the fans as the cheers and screams continue to get louder and louder and the show comes to an end.

Phenomenal's WWE proudly brings to you...

Event: WWE Lethal Games
Date: Sunday, January 30th, 2005
Time: 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time
Locaion: The AstroDome - Houston, Texas
Theme Song: Flaw - Only The Strong

Main Event:
WWE World Heavyweight Title #1 Contender For Wrestlemania 21
Lethal Games Match
Participants: Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Edge, Christian, John Cena, Randy Orton, Rob Van Dam, Eddie Guerrero, Kane and Goldberg
Background:
This match is the main event of the night and is a creation by the mighty mind of the WWE Chairman Shane McMahon. The rules might sound a bit confusing in the beginning but the match itself will be the perfect example. Shane McMahon will be at ringside with two roulettes named 'Roulette A' and 'Roulette B'. Roulette A picks either "MATCH" or "BREAK" while Roulette B picks a number from 1 to 10. Each number represents one of the ten entrants in the Lethal Games Match. To start off, Roullete B is rolled twice to pick two random numbers and the two wrestlers picked will battle it out in a traditional one-on-one match until there is a pin fall, submission, knock out, count out, or disqualification. Once a winner is declared, Roulette B rolls and picks either "BREAK", which means that the wrestler will get a break and two new numbers are picked to start a new match, or Roulette B picks "MATCH", which means that Roulette A will pick a number to determine the next opponent. The games continue this way until there is only one wrestler left who will be declared the winner of the Lethal Games and will be declared the #1 Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and will get his title shot at Wrestlemania 21.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Kurt Angle (c) vs. Triple H

Background: After defeating the Champion in a Tag Team Match on Breakdown II, according to pre-match stipulations, Triple H will get a shot at Kurt Angle's WWE Title at The Lethal Games. HHH, along with his newly formed group called Anarchy, which is led by Stephanie, were behind the attack Kurt Angle received at Resurrection Day, which caused The Champ to miss the first episode of Breakdown. Also, HHH was behind Kurt Angle's loss to The Big Show in a No Holds Barred Match on Breakdown III and again Kurt fell victim to another ruthless attack by Anarchy. This Sunday, Kurt Angle will be looking for retribution while Triple H will be looking to regain the gold that he trives for so much.

Tag Team Match
The Rock & Stone Cold vs. Shawn Michaels & Big Show

Background: This all started on Breakdown I, when The Big show made his come back and announced himself as the new member of Stephanie's Anarchy. Show helped HHH and HBK defeated The Rock and Austin in a Tag Team Match, but the duo refused to go down as they made their come back during the beat down Anarchy was delivering to the WWE Champion and Stone Cold Steve Austin announced that he will be teaming up with The Rock again to take on the team of Shawn Michaels and The Big Show at The Lethal Games, where payback will be the theme of the night.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Rey Mysterio (c) vs. AJ Styles

Background: After making his debut in the WWE by attacking Rey Mysterio after he became the new Cruiserweight Champion, 'The Phenomenal One' AJ Styles climbed his way up the ladder and became the #1 Contender for Mysterio's Championship after defeating Paul London and Ultimo Dragon in a Triple Threat Match. Mysterio is looking to teach the arrogant Styles a lesson in attitude with the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on the line.

WWE Extreme Championship
Raven (c) vs. Rhyno

Background: Raven won the new WWE Extreme Championship in a Triple Threat Match on Breakdown I involving Tazz and Rhyno. Rhyno then defeated Tazz in a #1 Contenders match after goring the ladder Tazz was climbing to capture the contract that guaranteed the title shot. The Man Beast is set to prove to The Ultimate Loner that he has his sights on the Extreme Championship. This encounter promises to be the most barbaric match of the night.

WWE Tag Team Championship
SAT's (c) vs. Hardy Boyz

Background: While The SAT's made their debut on Resurrection Day and captured the WWE Tag Titles, The Hardy Boyz made their come back on Breakdown I to become the #1 Contenders for those very titles. These two teams have never met in the past but do have a common rival - The Dudley Boyz. With the WWE Tag Team Championship on the line, The SAT's and The Hardyz plan on to square off in an epic enounter to prove who is the best tag team but it rests unknown to what role The Dudleyz wil have in the outcome of the match.
