- Wrestling reporter and author Scott Keith, who broke the unconfirmed news that John Cena is likely taking time off to host a fitness reality show for FOX, reports that he received an e-mail saying Daniel Bryan was on a flight to Los Angeles, California - the site of tonight's WWE Hell In a Cell pay-per-view.

This should be taken strictly as a rumor for now, but the reader claimed to act like he didn't know who Bryan was and claimed to be a neurologist. This led to Bryan saying he had actually just been cleared from a concussion and was going back to work this weekend.

As mentioned, this should be taken as a rumor, but Scott Keith has been reliable in the past. There's now speculation that Bryan may be the one to answer Cena's US Open Challenge for the WWE United States Title. Stick with us throughout the day for the latest updates on Hell In a Cell.
Now, some might rightfully feel that if Bryan is to return then Mania season would be the best time if it all but unfortunately WWE has booked themselves into a corner by making anyone that could be possible contenders in a way that makes them less credible so theoretically, the one guy to beat Cena and not have to return the loss is the best guy to do it again, if we're using the potential thought process Creative is possibly using here.

Thoughts?

Re: Daniel Bryan possibly returning tonight at HIAC

If its true, I want Bryan to be involved in the IC title picture. It makes more sense. Have him save Ryback tonight, setting up Bryan vs Owens.

Doubt if the WWE would bring DB back, the close to the RR. Do they really want a repeat of last two years of the RR winner being booed because DB didnt win?

I think the safe bet to beat Cena tonight is Ambrose.

They should thrust him straight into the WWE title picture IMO. Fuck the injuries. It was bad luck thats all. How many times has HHH fucked up WWE booking because of his injuries?

Funny thing is....if WWE were to do this, they'd effectively have a built-in excuse to have Bryan not be in the Rumble this year since he'd be expected to have a title defense at said PPV as well as having fans interested in what he's doing at the same time.

Re: Daniel Bryan possibly returning tonight at HIAC

I never see Daniel Bryan wrestle anymore. The last time he had a match was at "Wrestlemania 31" in a ladder match for the "Intercontinental Championship". He only held it for about 2 months and then he vacated it on Raw in May. I think that if he returns tonight at "Hell In a Cell", ratings will go up big time.
