Since Punk's infamous pipebomb last year, essentially I've come to realize that the WWE has made realtively zero progress. Here we are more than a year later and we're in the middle of the same angle, involving the same players... and most likely involving the same outcome.

Punk is mad because he feels he's not receiving his proper due? Check.
Punk directs his hatred towards Cena for unfairly overshadowing him? Check.
Cena tells Punk that respect isn't given, it's earned? Check.
Cena most likely facing Rock at Wrestlemania? Check.

It's the same. exact. angle.

In fact if you fell into a coma the day after Punk's speech a year ago and you first awoke last week... you might not feel you've missed anything at all. The stakes going into their match this Sunday are no different than they were a year ago. Nothing has changed. Nothing of significance has occurred. In fact everything that did occurr over the past year has essentially meant nothing because here we are a full year later and we're witnessing the same exact angle.

lol pretty much. Thats why I'm not interested in Cena vs Punk at all. Its a really overrated rivalry in my opinion. They don't have any memorable moment together in my opinion. You can say their promos together are great but in 5-10 years I don't feel like this rivalry will be remembered. Nothing significant has happened. "The shoot" was more Punk vs Vince(or WWE) not Cena.

Honestly, Punks reign as champion not matter how long can be considered a flop.

No. In a way he is sort of right, Cena and Corporate Man Punk are one in the same. Punk is a poser, and a sell out and apparently the "shoot" was just a work shoot that the corporates told Punk to cut. Punk said he liked Cena in his pipebomb and both men during the build to the rematch at Summerslam said they respected each others.

I've said more than once that Punk/Cena last year wasn't a feud.

It's not the same this time because Cena will actually win, instead of building up Punk lol. Seriously, you have a point, but the only difference now is that Punk's the champion this time around, with a chance to be even bigger if he faces The Rock (right now it's 50-50). Nothing got accomplished with Punk's progression til now. He turned face but well, you know how that went. It's been a void for almost a yr, and that's the problem. They could have went in any direction, had Punk face anybody else, but all roads lead to Cena getting the belt back. In the end, Punk made money, established himself, and now is the top heel on Raw, personal mission accomplished.

Not really. CM Punk has been champion for quite some time. Where as Cena was champion for quite some time before. Punk is also in alignment with Heyman (and BORK PLEAZ!). Punk was quitting and leaving with the Title. Now Punk wants to remain the champion at all cost.

Didn't he literally say a sentence to TMZ about it? And would you call what AW was doing attacking?

Also, clearly it was a worked shoot. He got to say what he wanted but WWE told him to do it, that's pretty known at this point.

2. Nope, thats just a convenient excuse, 'WWE wouldnt let him'. You could make the same excuse for Cena when Punk was "pipe-bombing" him. Fact is, Cena out-shined him completely on the mic, proving he's better. Punk couldnt respond because he had nothing to respond. Cena was just too good for him.
