High def, better sound.
26 was my first HD mania and while it looked great, I hated it. Esp. for $60 and with friends who stiffed me on the bill, but ate pizza and drank my shit. 27 was much better, but I got a premium stream for $2. It wasn't 1080i but I watched about 95% of the show without lag and enjoyed myself. Besides, I don't have cable anymore, I wasn't going to see it in HD either way, esp. not off WWE's site with the web cast. So why not just buy a decent stream? *shrug*High def, better sound.
I personally wouldnt pay that much but over here in the UK, the pay-per-view was only £15 so I was fine with paying that to watch WM live.If it was $25 - $30 or something it wouldn't be a big deal at all, but I'm hearing they were charging people like $50 for the PPV at home! Everyone here obviously has the internet, why not just watch one of the many free streams that were featuring WrestleMania last night? They are not hard to find....it baffles my mind.
I'm the same, the price over here was pretty good and i chipped in with a few friends and watched the whole thing in HD. I'm confused as to why there was such a difference between the USA price and the UK price though.I personally wouldnt pay that much but over here in the UK, the pay-per-view was only £15 so I was fine with paying that to watch WM live.
Anyone in the UK can correct me if I'm wrong but I think the WWE PPVs air on a channel that you have to pay extra to get (like HBO in the US).I'm the same, the price over here was pretty good and i chipped in with a few friends and watched the whole thing in HD. 1. Bullshit.I download everything online; music, games, wrestling, movies, etc. It is not true that you will get "better sound" or what not. The people that upload their stuff recorded it in the same quality you would get if you ordered the PPV. The rip I got was incredible on my headphones. The HD was superb. I guess people feel better when they buy everything and they think it is wrong. We live in a consumer mentality country and we have to buy, buy, buy! I have been doing this since 2000 and I won't stop. It's called "fair use" and you won't get in trouble for downloading it. You will only get in trouble for sharing.
Yeah this is true, you need a SKY subscription which is around £20 a month but is a lot more (double) if you add in the sports sub. You don't need the sports to watch the PPV though it costs £14.95 on box office and HD costs the same. It looked amazing and I watched the replay is SD and can honestly say I would not have enjoyed it in SD. Oh and the UK does get half of the PPV's for free, I honestly think the only one people would pay to watch is WM and maybe Royal Rumble. I split it amongst 7 other friends, we had some Pizzas, some Pints and a few joints and settled in to WrestleMania for the night. 12AM until 4AM, great times.Anyone in the UK can correct me if I'm wrong but I think the WWE PPVs air on a channel that you have to pay extra to get (like HBO in the US).
