Paying for WrestleMania PPV?

If it was $25 - $30 or something it wouldn't be a big deal at all, but I'm hearing they were charging people like $50 for the PPV at home! Everyone here obviously has the internet, why not just watch one of the many free streams that were featuring WrestleMania last night? They are not hard to find....it baffles my mind.

High def, better sound.
26 was my first HD mania and while it looked great, I hated it. Esp. for $60 and with friends who stiffed me on the bill, but ate pizza and drank my shit. 27 was much better, but I got a premium stream for $2. It wasn't 1080i but I watched about 95% of the show without lag and enjoyed myself. Besides, I don't have cable anymore, I wasn't going to see it in HD either way, esp. not off WWE's site with the web cast. So why not just buy a decent stream? *shrug*

I'm going to 28 live, so I think it's a wash lmao.
My brother just DL'd it and we watched it before Raw last night. After it was over I looked at him and said "Well, at least you didn't pay for that turd"

I personally wouldnt pay that much but over here in the UK, the pay-per-view was only £15 so I was fine with paying that to watch WM live.
paid $55 to watch. pissed me off but i felt obligated to get it.
I have WM on HD. It's a lot better than watching it on a laptop.

I'm the same, the price over here was pretty good and i chipped in with a few friends and watched the whole thing in HD. I'm confused as to why there was such a difference between the USA price and the UK price though.
Go to a blast area like BW-3's or something. Buy some food and drink and watch the show for free.

Anyone in the UK can correct me if I'm wrong but I think the WWE PPVs air on a channel that you have to pay extra to get (like HBO in the US).

And I'm not big on pirating. But I'm done ordering WWE PPVs. There is a Buffalo Wild Wings 5 minutes from my house and for half the cost of sitting at home and eating nothing I can watch the whole PPV and have awesome food.
I work for the cable company so it does only cost me $25 bucks :lmao
This was the first WrestleMania I'd bought since 2000. Of all the years, I just had to pick this one.

The only other PPVs I've bought recently were SummerSlam and Night of Champions and I was tremendously more satisfied with those shows.

I'm pretty positive I won't buy another show until next year's WrestleMania at the earliest, and they're gonna need more than Rock/Cena a year after the heat has died off to get me to drop another $60 on it.
I download everything online; music, games, wrestling, movies, etc. It is not true that you will get "better sound" or what not. The people that upload their stuff recorded it in the same quality you would get if you ordered the PPV. The rip I got was incredible on my headphones. The HD was superb. I guess people feel better when they buy everything and they think it is wrong. We live in a consumer mentality country and we have to buy, buy, buy! I have been doing this since 2000 and I won't stop. It's called "fair use" and you won't get in trouble for downloading it. You will only get in trouble for sharing.

1. Bullshit.
2. He meant it's better quality than streaming.

Realized I never answered the question: I paid $64.95 for HD.
I paid 35. Wasn't really worth it.

Was worth about 20 bucks imo.
its very easy to find illegal streams but i still pay for it and ild never illegally download it. Its just not me to do that kind of thing.

Its not that im a pussy or anything, not stealing is just one of the values set for me by my parents.

And anyone dumb enough to pay for an illegal stream is either retarded or certainly brave.

Yeah this is true, you need a SKY subscription which is around £20 a month but is a lot more (double) if you add in the sports sub. You don't need the sports to watch the PPV though it costs £14.95 on box office and HD costs the same. It looked amazing and I watched the replay is SD and can honestly say I would not have enjoyed it in SD. Oh and the UK does get half of the PPV's for free, I honestly think the only one people would pay to watch is WM and maybe Royal Rumble. I split it amongst 7 other friends, we had some Pizzas, some Pints and a few joints and settled in to WrestleMania for the night. 12AM until 4AM, great times.

Only problem was we missed the Edge ADR match due to smoking Geoffrey and pausing it, then coming back to a message saying "Sky+HD box is out of disk space", moral of the story, don't smoke a Geoffrey whilst WrestleMania is on.
$50 to watch a PPV on TV?

No wonder some people are so critical, that's a ridiculous price.
There's no way I was paying $65 for that steaming pile of Snooki. Easily the second-worst WrestleMania in the last 10 years.
