I think he doesn't stretch out his arms as much anymore because of his shoulder problems. Extending out the arms the way he used to do 10 years ago will put some pressure on the rotator cuffs.

 

if hes THAT injury prone that he cant even stretch out his arms or dislocates his shoulder from banging on the floor (over the limit 2010) then he shouldnt be facing brock lesnar.

Yes, he still does it. Actually, for a while I have thought that it doesn't go very well with his Viper/I Hear Voices gimmick.

I like the pose, though. It comes off as "look at THIS amazing specimen". As a guy who is trying his best to work out, to be and look healthy, I can honestly say that Orton, from the neck down (I don't mind my face- my girlfriend doesn't either ), is exactly how I wish I could look. Kudos to him for making it happen while I'm still dragging my feet to the gym 3 times a week, whining to myself that I wanna go home.

I've heard he has hypermobility in the shoulders so maybe that has something to do with it. Painful shoulders would been eventual whether he was a wrestler or not.

 

That pic is from 2010 and that was around the time he just started doing the pose after stopping for a few years cause he became a cold blooded psychopath. Then he stopped again and started doing the Steve Austin arms raised pose for a while. Then once he realized he would never be Stone Cold he went back to his Legend Killer pose. He was just half assing it in that pic you posted. He does it fine. Nit...fucking...picking.

 

He still does it and he should coz it's one of the best poses in wrestling history. Only difference is, he used to be noticeably bigger during his Legend Killer days since he was juicing while he's kinda skinny in comparison now. So it looked more impressive then.

He still does it, even as the Viper. Sometimes artifacts from previous gimmicks spill over into the current one (like Trips's Pedigree from his blueblood days or CM Punk's initials long after he left the Chick Magnets).

Like others have said, probably because of shoulder problems. Also, the pose suits a cocky young wrestler better than a seasoned veteran.
