http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe..._Criticism_Over_How_Lesnar_s_Been_Booked.html

- There are people within WWE who believe that Brock Lesnar should have been booked differently and as more of a threat to The Undertaker, since the only point Lesnar did anything to Taker was the go-home angle on RAW this week, and that was still a sneak up from behind distraction with the announcers calling Lesnar a coward.

The original feud between Taker and Lesnar that was talked about in 2010 had Taker proposing that Lesnar beat him to end The Streak, although that was never seriously considered, thinking it would be the right thing for business. Feelings on The Streak have obviously changed since then.

Vince McMahon made the decision that in the build for this match, Taker never gets touched. He was smart enough to change that rule for the final build this week on RAW.

not surprised Vince made that decision (and Brock just did 1 clothesline & 1 F5 anyways so not like they had him go all out)

The build for this match has been atrocious and everyone and their mother knows the outcome. The only thing saving this match is the fact that it's a Streak match and regardless of who's in it, you know it's going to be good.

If Sting doesn't show up, or make any kind of apperance during the Lesnar vs The Undertaker match then the whole thing will be a bust.

I will truely feel bad for those duped by WWE again.

Lesnar could have beaten up Taker every week for this build. The match outcome would still be insanely obvious Just like every mania since WM 26.

My only complaint about the build up is Heyman not bringing up they're history. Taker has never pinned Lesnar 1 on 1.

Their history was during American Badass Taker and I believe everyone in the back wants to completely erase that from history to be honest.

So what? Everyone knows it was The Undertaker. Coulda showed Lesnar destroying him and leaving him a bloody mess inside HIAC to build their match.

That would require them to bring up the American Badass gimmick, and we all know how the WWE try to keep that gimmick at a arms distance.

I surprised they haven't rewrote history and say Undertaker went on vacation from 2000-2004.:vince2

Anybody else get the build?

1. Lesnar is a beast, unstoppable freak of nature

2. Lesnar is spooked by the Undertaker, can't overcome his fear of the deadman

3. Finally in the last week, a sneak attack allows Lesnar to see Taker is vulnerable. He has overcome his fear and is ready to end the streak

They dont like to associate Taker with his ABA gimmick very often. That's why during the HHH-Taker feud they didnt really mention their WM 17 encounter.

There's no reasonable finish to this match without interference. Suspension of disbelief is severely strained when you've got a monster of a man up against this aging vet who looks worse backstage every consecutive year.

Two problems with that

1. Lesnar is the heel, why would his character be focused on overcoming fear.

2. Just because there's a story you can mold from what you've witnessed since Taker stabbed Brock in the hand, that doesn't make it a good story.

To write a good story you have to know your ending and determine the most exciting way to get there. There's a 99.9% chance Taker wins; so, if that's the conclusion, how could WWE think the best way to get to that point would be to have Undertaker make Lesnar look like a bitch for a month?

^Vince hates it in hindsight, think it ruins the mystique of arguably the best gimmick ever.
Oh, I really wasn't watching during that time, but I knew that gimmick was more in tune to how Taker was IRL, so it wasn't much of a stretch for me. On a side note, from what I've heard, Kane's new gimmick is more like his real self. I've heard he is quite the politician type.

Back to the topic at hand, I do think this feud hasn't been booked very well. It's missing, I dunno, a lot. Brock needs more push for one thing.
Its too bad they didn't go with at least a slight ABA style, cause then they could bring up the whole UFC confrontation and stuff like that. Don't get me wrong, I've been a Taker fan since he came outta the casket and attacked Hogan, but I don't think the deadman gimmick was what this feud needed.

He's beaten The Undertaker before, but he's never faced him in Phenom form hence why he was scared.

- Vic
He's still Brock Lesnar. The baddest man on the planet, logically he would have no reason to be scared of anybody.
