Is it true that the WWE tried to make the rapper The Game change his name? I heard that there was a lawsuit about it because the WWE wanted to trademark "The Game" but I never heard if it was true or if they won the case.

It did happen, and I believe WWE won, since "The Game" is now known as "Game" to the best of my knowledge. Though my rap knowledge is non-existent, so take it for what it's worth.

He's still known as The Game.

Though idk why WWE or Triple H would do that. It was a retarded lawsuit that didn't help anyone.

Triple H is to the WWE what The Game is to rap in that they both used someone elses spotlight to get ahead. In saying that i guess the name fits. Owen Hart was originally supposed to become the "Game" character after the Blue Blazer character fizzled. What could've been........

It may be worth noting that WWE has yet to sue for the right to "the King of Kings."

Someone might take exception...

WWE suing Christianity and every other religion would be fucking amazing to get the King of Kings moniker to themselves.

Just change Vince McMahon wanting to wrestle a panda on live PPV, he calls out Jesus Christ for a street fight and we watch him wait for 3 hours.

Not the character, just the nickname. Regardless of his moniker, I still think that Triple H would still end up as the egostic and villainous douche and would still be pushed as the top heel of 1999-2000. That was an epic year .

It seems natural to laugh at something like that, but then you have to remember that that actually happened.

because The Game sucks and WWE didn't want to be associated with a shitty rapper.

Ah yes. Cause the Three Six Mafia and all those new rappers are the shiz. Heck, Tupac's doing the dances you see in their videos with big assed women in heaven.

The Game isn't that bad.

He is known as just "Game" now, apparently it's cause he wanted to make it shorter or some shit, but I do believe he had a legal battle with WWE over it, which he probably lost.

I think he's an alright rapper, he has some good songs.

:lmao Vince vs God was TV gold. McMahonism FTW!

I think WWE sued the rapper for exclusive rights to the name. HHH was using it from around 99 and the rapper wasn't around until after that and he isn't using it anymore so I guess they won lol.
