SO I'm 29, and have watched pro wrestling since I was a little kid (maybe like 5, if I can recall). Being a kid meant cheering for all the good guy stuff, and everything they wanted you to follow, per their money-making formula. However, as I got older, I stopped falling for it, and began rebelling, and despising the "formula."

This is especially fun when I go to a wrestling show now, and get to see little children wearing Cena t-shirts, and I think to myself, "one day kid, you are gonna begin thinking for yourself, look back at this day, and wonder what you ever liked in John Cena." Kind of like how I am now with Hulk Hogan. (I wont say anything about the 30-year old still wearing a Cena shirt...)

So looking back, I can see myself rooting for different things and different angles, different personalities. It's funny because going back to the old footage on WWE Classics, and the DVD releases, and Netflix, I constantly find myself thinking "Why did I EVER root for this guy!?" And even better, "Wow, I really missed out on ______!"

So here are a few of the superstars I would have popped for NOW, had I been old enough to think for myself, rather than being the little child who just follows what they want me to like:

- Sgt. Slaughter when he trolled all of America during Desert Storm. Took the belt off the mega-popular Ultimate Warrior, and then challenged the real American, Hulk Hogan. I would have been cheering for Sarge, and laughing at everyone getting upset over it!

- Rick Rude, in general. Coming out and making all of the fatasses sit down while he takes his robe off and shows all of their women what a real man looks like. NOW... HIT his music.

- Paul E. Dangerously and the Danger Alliance. Of course I remember Paul E, and knew very-well who he was. But was too busy watching Sting and Flair (even as a kid, i was still smart enough to be a Flair guy). The Danger Alliance was fucking awesome.

- Curt Hennig. In every match.

- Jake Roberts as a heel in early 90s. Damn he freaked me out. More of that, please.

- Anything with Jim Cornette.

I know there are more, but these are a few off the top of my head. Yours?
