Agree, and to me that's the connection of Impact Wrestling to classic TNA in that talent who wouldn't get featured (like young AJ Styles and Samoa Joe) or talent not used to full potential (like Christian Cage) would get an opportunity in Impact.

I've seen Impact Wrestling promote themselves as the land of opportunity a couple years back and its that which was the main positive of classic TNA. Granted at times to much opportunity to talent way last it like Nash, Steiner, Hogan, Bischoff etc.

Deonna Purrazzo, Steve Maclin, Rich Swann (wasn't a successful title run), Eric Young, Rhyno, Mickie James & Brian Myers have had success in Impact after WWE/NXT and are all definitely higher than they was when they arrived.

Maclin vs Alexander has potential to be a great feud of talent built in Impact and would love to see them get solid few months feuds, even up to Bound For Glory. Surprised Maclin hasn't been given a gimmick specialist match as Bodybag, Stretcher or even gimmick Street Fight based around military weapons like MLWs Weapons of Mass Destruction would all suit him well. Lucha Undergrounds Hell of War (3 Stages of Hell) would be really good if Impact could do similar for last match between Maclin and Alexander, if they can get the feud really hot.

It's funny, that's the vibe I got. The episode of impact feels like just the tiniest. Bit of what's to come but it felt better than aew for sure. I think a lot is going to change and a lot is going to be added in the coming months.

It's weird but they announced cross The line will be used as the theme song again but they didn't play it for tonight's impact.

Honestly? Meh.. Omega sucks on the mic and is one of the most goofy wrestlers I have ever seen when he talks. What was up with the constant stutter? He lacks an actual x-factor and doesn't take himself seriously. What Kenny needed was a stint in WWE where Vince treated him badly. He needs a chip on his shoulder and a reason to improve. He's surrounded by people who tell him he's the best and doesn't need to improve. I want him to improve, but I just don't see it happening anymore.

Impact is the best place for Trinity to get better as an overall wrestler. It is so lame and a tired act people shitting on Impact. Most don't even watch the product week in and week out. They are a great promotion that gives wrestlers a chance to succeed and show what they can do with encouragement and opportunity to prove people wrong. I was one of those people that just dismissed Impact and just went along with the narrative that they were shit. Until I really started watching the product week in and week out. Start with me going to Slammiversary in 2018 were I actually went to the event in Toronto. I have been so entertained ever since and have not missed an episode or ppv.

So I watched Under Siege yesterday. Its weird. We had a WWE show in Night of Champions and an AEW show in Double or Nothing, and I think I might have liked Under Siege the most fo the three. BTW, I didn't bother with NXT Battleground because...I just can't.

Anyways, I found Under Siege to be a really fun show that didn't overstay its welcome and generally delivered.

  • Aldis vs. King was a good match and reintroduction for Aldis.
  • The brawl between Killer Kelly and Masha Slamovich was a fun way to get them on the show without giving away another hardcore match. Their dog collar match is saved for Against All Odds.
  • The six man tag was fun. I don't consider Jake Crist a get worthy of the "Mystery partner" tag, but the match was still fun.
  • Trinity vs. Shaw was a solid match that showed off Trinity well.
  • The Tag Title match of ABC vs. Subculture was very good and a great showcase for both teams.
  • The X Title match of Sabin vs. Miguel was solid. It is so weird to see Sabin still going for the X Division title 20 years after the first time he won the belt, but he can still go.
  • The six way contenders match was fine for what it was. The problem with these kind of matches is that it kind of spoils the main event in a sense. If a face wins, then the heel is getting the belt, and vice versa. Still, Shelley is getting a title shot, which is nice.
  • Grace vs. Purrazzo for the KO title was a nice and solid match. If this is Grace's swan song from Impact, then I wish her the best, and this was a good match to go out on.
  • The main event was nuts! PCO is a wild lunatic and its amazing the things he does in these matches, and Maclin kind of won me over after this. This match was a bloodbath and delivered in spades.
  • The closing angle with Bully and Maclin putting Scott D'Amore through a flaming table was pretty wild. I don't know how necessary it was, but it was a crazy visual to go out on.
Overall, just a solid and well paced show. Damn, if Impact had a budget and roster akin to WWE or AEW, they'd probably be the best wrestling show out there.

These Vegas tapings have been nothing short of brilliant. Going forward, I really hope they stick with this sports-entertainment type of show... it's actually an alternative to everything else which is going on in wrestling today.

- Brian Cage & Melissa Santos wedding.
- Cage's arrest & his wife taking a piledriver.
- Ken Shamrock vs Mose press conference.
- Johnny Swinger's 80's comedy throwback act.
- Havok full on murdering Su.
- Ace Austin banging peoples wives.
- Katie Forbes going full on pornstar mode.

If they stick with these non-traditional, sometimes risque and controversial story lines they're onto a winner big time.

Man what is up with all the crazy, outlandish, cartoon stuff their doing these days? I was ok with the fun house or whatever they where doing but this Bravo getting shot storyline is unnecessary.

They have such good booking when they are a little more serious. It's such a shame that they waste their talents on stuff like that. Everytime this company pulls me in they change direction and it's getting frustrating being a fan.
