History Tag Team Draft 2.0

________________________________________

***SIGN UPS AND GENERAL DISCUSSION GOES ONLY HERE***
ANOTHER THREAD WILL BE OPENED SPECIFICALLY FOR DRAFT PICKS

If we have a full roster of players, the draft will officially begin on:
Monday, 21st July @ approx. 12:30(PM) GMT

Introduction:

This is the second History Tag Team Draft.
The original, hosted by Ratman, can be seen here.

Most of the rules from the original History Tag Team Draft will be applied in this, so if you're confused or even intrigued with the concept of the Tag Team Draft, it would be wise to check out that thread.

A total of 16 participants, to make 8 teams.

Rules and Information:

  • You can choose your tag team partner. You do not need to have a partner to play. If you don't have one by 24 hours before the first draft pick, I will randomise your partner.
  • It is not necessary to keep in contact with your partner, but it is suggested.
  • If they're a person in wrestling, regardless of federation or company, they can be chosen.
  • There will be twelve (12) rounds in this draft. Every tag team will have a total of twenty-four (24) wrestlers at the end
  • This will be a snake order draft, it will go 1-16, next round will be 16-1, and so on and so on. This means from the first time #16 picks, they pick two wrestlers, and from the second time #1 picks, they also pick two wrestlers.
  • When it your your turn to pick, you have up to 12 hours to draft. If the 12 hours are up, then the next person can go ahead and pick. You can allow your partner to choose for you, however you must provide proof of this.
    • Everyone is allowed one (1) overdue choice. If you take longer than 12 hours to make your pick, and your partner is unable to choose for you, you can inform me and I will allow you to pick next.
  • One person can not draft a tag team or faction in one turn unless you choose twice (slots one and sixteen). You can, however, pick one of the tag team members, and your teammate can pick the other.
  • Choosing one wrestler allows for use of all of their gimmicks. For example, if you're crazy enough, you could use Stone Cold Steve Austin as Stunning Steve Austin.
    • This means that other players cannot choose another gimmick of the same person, as with other drafts.
  • Trades are allowed, but limited.
    • Each tag team has eight (8) trade tokens. Each draft pick traded exhausts one (1) token. Trade evidence must be posted by all four concerning players, otherwise it is not counted.
  • If you can no longer play for whatever reason or for whatever length of time, please inform both myself and your partner.
    • Your partner will then take over all of your draft picks, and book alone, until you return, or if your partner and yourself request a replacement and one is available.
  • Twenty-five percent (25%) of the matches on your card can have stipulations. One (1) every four (4).
    • Non-stipulation matches: triple threat, fatal four-way, multi-tag matches (both 6v6, etc, and 2v2v2, etc). *list can be negotiable*
  • Current storylines from any can not apply to your game if you do not have the people. For example, if you do not have HHH, you can not utilise the current Authority angle, even as management.

Tournament Order:

Just like the previous tag team draft, we will be using an 8 team consolation tournament bracket.

Round One:
The first four matches, involving all tag teams.

Round Two:
The first consolation round. The losers of the first round go against eachother.

Round Three:
The second regular round. The winners of the first round go against eachother.

Round Four:
The second consolation round. The winners of the first consolation round go against the losers of the second regular round.

Round Five:
The third consolation round. The winners of the second consolation round go against eachother. The winning team is crowned 3rd in the tournament, and the losing team is crowned 4th.

Round Six:
The third and final regular round. The winners of the second regular round go against eachother. The winning team is crowned 1st (Champion) in the tournament and the losing team is crowned 2nd.

I will happily manage STEVIE and Aid.

Proposed team names:

STEVIE has Aids

Team TDL Friendship

RybAxel
:lmao

Well, I and Aid haven't really had a lot of history together until now, so Team TDL Friendship I don't think is all that appropriate. I don't get the reason behind you pitching the RybAxel name, so that's out as well.

Guess we'll just go with what's left then :side:

RS PM'ed me about 25 hours ago for his pick.

He should really just PM Flux to make the picks because they're right next to eachother though. :lol

-----

PMed everyone the draft number update.
If you have any questions just ask here.

Like I mentioned before, the draft is moving slowly and if it stays moving at this rate then it will take til late August or even early September for the first set of matches to come out.

The time between the last draft pick and the posting of the first set of matches is debatable atm.

Can we use wrestlers more than once on a card?
I'll make it INNOVATIVE and say you can only use 2 people per card in more than one match, so you can have a #1 contenders match early on and end the show with the winner in a match, or have a typical SCREWED BY THE BOSS and have to have two matches in a night.

So pick wisely.

You were meant to tell me the things I forgot to put down Zombo damn if.
