NXT Battleground 2023 Discussion Thread

Looks like it'll be a fun show.

I do wonder what the plan for Melo vs. Bron is on this show and going forward. Melo shouldn't be dropping the belt right now and Bron doesn't really need to be in NXT after this, unless they want him to workshop his new heel character longer.

Gallus suck. They're somewhat talented in ring guys, but as an overall act, they suck. Please let the Creeds beat them. Please.

Lyra is about on the same level as Roxanne in the ring so she should do good work with Tiffany. With Lyra's "injury" going into the match, it's basically a guarantee that Stratton is the next champion, which is a good thing.

I really don't care for the story of Wes, Bate, and Gacy. Like, Wes, Bate, you're grown ass men. Stop arguing like kids and just beat each other up. Will be a good match, Wes retains.

Ilja vs. Dijak will be an absolute war and I'm here for it. Would be happy with either guy winning.

Lee vs. Dar could be good though I'm not sure how the Rounds system will translate to this audience. I don't think Lee should be losing but after Dar lost on TV, this feels like he'll get a cheap win here.

Actually low key excited for this one. It's as solid a ppv card NXT has put on in years.

I'm not a big Gallus fan but the Creeds will make this a good hoss fight.

The Bron heel turn and subsequent vicious streak has added a different layer to this feud with Carmello. I think it will be much better than their previous match.

Tiffany and Lyra should be fun. Lyra is an excellent worker and this is Strattons time to shine.

Dragunov is a complete madman and I like how they have leaned into this even more. I'm not a huge dijak fan but this should be absolute carnage.

Lee vs Dar will be great. I'm so glad the rounds match has returned. It's a different style. I think we are also either getting Alicia or more likely a Sha Samuel's return. I'm down with that. Oi Oiii!

North American triple threat will also deliver but I think quite possibly a shock Gacy win.
