The kicker was that the guys weren't actually terrorists, they were white guys that the audience was supposed to (and did) assume were terrorists because they thought they were also Arabs. The WWE fucked him up by taking his character in the complete opposite direction. They went from him being upset for being discriminated against for being Arab-American to him actually being a terrorist. Ruined everything...
It was never going to last that long. Like he said, he was always so damn close to the line he was bound to cross it eventually. Or he'd have fucked up somehow and gotten fired for that.He could well have become one of the greatest heels of the last ten years had he not been booted off TV in the way that he was. I wonder though what kind of place he would have had in this modern PG era WWE we have now, i imagine he would have faded into a shadow of his former character and suffered immensely.
I agree. I suppose six years in this business is a long time for one character, especially one like Hassan, to remain relevant and entertaining. It certainly was an exciting character though, a big shame that he left the business too.It was never going to last that long. Like he said, he was always so damn close to the line he was bound to cross it eventually. Or he'd have fucked up somehow and gotten fired for that.
Being English, I don't really blame them for axing him post 7/7. It would by like having Earthquake main event in the Tokyo Dome a week after the disaster.interesting read.

Earthquake vs Tyhpoon in the main event of a charity event for Fukishima relief fund. Would be epic.Being English, I don't really blame them for axing him post 7/7. It would by like having Earthquake main event in the Tokyo Dome a week after the disaster.
