Mr Anderson vs Jeff Hardy Ladder MAtch finish

I just watched their ladder match, and it seemed like the finish was botched. I\'m guessing hardy was supposed to grab the belt as Anderson mic checked him but they lost their balance on the ladders? would that be correct? or am I not seeing it correctly.
