Okay, so this is kind of a weird thing, but lately, I was thinking about movies from my childhood that I only have flashes or snippets of memories of.

Some of my memories of these films are so vague that I wasn't even sure they existed or if they were just misremembered fever dreams from my youth.

Well with the help of Google and YouTube, I was able to confirm that, yes, these movies were indeed real:

The Adventures of Unico

Now this was a case of me misremembering something as something else. A few years ago, some friends were talking about "The Last Unicorn", which I remembered watching but when I watched it with them, the movie lacked some of the moments that I remembered. "Wasn't there a cat that transformed into a woman?" and "wasn't there a baby unicorn with pink hair?". They looked at me like I was nuts. So I assumed the pink haired unicorn was me misremembering aspects of The Last Unicorn, which as it turns out, I was remembering a different film entirely. One of my friends from The Last Unicorn viewing sent me the video above and said "I can't believe this, but your Pink haired unicorn actually exists".

The Dragon That Wasn't (Or Was He?)

God that title hurts to say. Anyways, I always had memories of seeing a movie on the Disney channel that involved a cartoon bear taking care of a baby dragon, but the idea was so ridiculous that I always assumed my kid brain made it up or maybe even combined elements of different things into one memory. Turns out, this thing was absolutely real.

Fluppy Dogs

This one I was even more convinced that I was wrong and it never existed. Basically, this cartoon is Disney's attempt at combining Care Bears and Pound Puppies, and it was because the idea was so clearly and shamelessly based off of both of those properties that I wrote it off as my brain combining memories of watching Pound Puppies and Care Bears together. A green bear and a talking dog? Not weird on their own. But a green talking dog? No way I have that right. But nope, turns out it happened and it was real. The cartoon looks like something that would have been on Disney afternoon at the time, and apparently, this "movie" was more of a pilot episode to see if it could become a series. Again, with Care Bears and Pound Puppies already in existence, this thing lasting long term was probably unlikely.

The Flight of Dragons

This last one is a little different from the others in that the others I wasn't sure if they were actually real, but this one I absolutely knew existed. I was certain of it, but I couldn't remember the name, and whenever I described it to people, they thought I was talking about the Dungeons and Dragons animated show. I remembered seeing the movie on the Disney channel, but actually being excited about it because it "looked cool", and if I was happy to see it, then it must have happened, right? Whenever I would talk to somebody about this movie, I would say "It was the Dungeons and Dragons movie that wasn't called Dungeons and Dragons". But apparently, nobody I know knew about this film and just thought I was crazy.

That is until I was finally able to find the movie online. Every now and again I'd look for it on Google, but typing "Movies about Role playing games" or "Animated movies about dragons" yields very cluttered results. Finally, this past weekend I went down this rabbit hole: I remembered that the movie's villain had a cool and distinctive voice. I then looked at the filmographies for Orson Welles, Brock Peters, Tony Jay, and James Earl Jones, and wouldn't you know it, Flight of the Dragons came up for JEJ, and I knew that had to be it and I was right! Man, looking at this clip, I might actually give this one another watch.

So does anyone else have these kind of things from their past?

I know I'm getting older and with the internet being what it is for current generations, having things fade from memory only to be rediscovered seems unlikely as the things we watch now will always be at our fingertips. But hey, maybe some of you have had similar experiences.

I'm pretty good at finding old movies from my childhood but there's one that has alluded me for many years.

There's this alligator in a cage in a room. Like it's on display or something. Somehow this guy gets too close to the cage and the alligator swallows him. The next day, when someone else enters the room, a voice from within the alligator says - "Is someone there?".

This guy is somehow still alive inside the alligator. The whole rest of the movie is people trying to figure how (or even IF) he can be rescued. I think the movie ends with the guy still in the alligator and he comes to terms with the fact that he'd never be released.

I've searched every key word I can think of and keep coming up with nothing. There's even a comprehensive list of movies featuring alligators and crocodiles and I looked at each one and it's not there.

Adventures in Dinosaur City

Good LAWD that is the most 90s movie ever

In both good and bad ways

And for years it would pop up in my head a couple times a year and I just couldn't remember the title until I saw it (the title) somewhere on the Internet not even looking for it and OMG THAT'S IT!

Holy Moses I remember that movie too! Oddly enough, I remember hating it, but I was also 4, so no accounting for taste, lol.

Not ashamed to admit that I still really like the first Pokemon film and The Last Unicorn.
Hey, no shame on these forums. :D
