Not really a storyline when you just say that though, considering they were basically 'feuding' for years on end. Do you have a particular part or era of it?


For me I would probably go with Austin v Hart Foundation.

Started brilliantly with Austin calling out an absent Bret Hart, progressed into awesome matches between them, the rumble shmozz, then the double turn, Hart F re-forms, leads into the USA v Canada storyline, progresses into the red hot 10 man tag in Calgary, then Owen v Austin, then it spawned the brilliant Hart/Taker/Shawn triangle which led to Montreal, which led to the brilliant Taker v Shawn while Austin gets revenge on Owen, then Austin v Shawn for the changing of the guard.

I think the Megapowers explode deserves a big mention, the way that slow burn developed and was carried out by Hogan and Macho was brilliant.

That I watched live.... tough, but possibly Hart/HBK, Cactus Jack/Foley/Mankind and HHH was extremely engaging, HBK/HHH in the first year HBK came back. They led to some great matches and just had teh energy and flow and balance I liked. McMahon/Austin was fun, but it didn't quite have the pay offs I like in matches so it didn't have it all to me.

As for things I went back to watch... Freebirds/Von Erichs is still quite fun to watch, Hogan/Andre, and any number of Piper's mid early to mid 80s feuds.

The initial Taker/Kane thing was pretty cool with Paul Bearer building him up, then the debut at HIAC, then all the crazy stuff with them throwing fireballs around and making lightning lol.

Austin vs Vince of course. Obviously everybody's different but it honest to God baffles me when people say anything else. That was the PINNACLE of wrestling tv, it was comedy to the highest level, it was intensity to the highest level, it was popular to the highest level, it was downright craziness to the highest level. It exemplified everything about this business that is amazing, every positive attribute. It can't be beat.

For me, the second best would be HHH vs Foley in 2000. God two matches who did go down in history!
