It could easily. Those guys at least had decent matches the IWC praised, hell Omega was voted wrestler of the year over Reigns for 2021 (laughable yes but it still happened).

MJF won't be working the long 'lets kick out of everything' matches the hardcores pop for and business is very likely to fall off significantly too in 2023 without something major happening. Page had Punk there to draw and not make his run look bad business wise...

I’m right there with you. It will not be nearly as great as MJF could make it, because he isn’t TK’s favorite.

TK will get bored with this toy and move to another wrestler in a stop and start decision that most fans would kill Vince McMahon for…

Neither do plenty of AEW wrestlers who are over and get fans into their matches. Danielson and Hangman went 60 minutes in a lauded match that didn't have overkill and was very fleshed out and story-rich. Punk's matches were generally slower-paced psychology and story over spots and fans loved him. Punk vs. Dustin was old school and snail's paced and got "This is awesome" chants.

MJF has had good matches with fan engagement against Darby, Punk, Yuta and Sammy in the past year-plus. When he headlined All Out 2020, from an in-ring perspective, he didn't look ready for a leading role. Somehow - an oddity considering his schedule - he improved a lot in 2021 and nearly all of his best matches have come in 2021 and 2022 despite his limited schedule.

Not an inaccurate list except #1, which got that number for sentimental reasons (Brodie Lee tribute show):

If he is a face i think it will flop because who the fuck wants MJF to be a face? I just look at the guy and want to punch him in the face. Are we supposed to forget the horrible things hes done to Punk, and Wardlow?

Like others have said, I think based off Tony khans incompetents i think its going to be a flop. I mean it might be solid and decent for the viewers. Its just not going to be special or draw more viewers. The company needs serious fucking changes and to find its identity. So this will have nothing to do with the talent.

Makes me happy to see more and more of you fans understanding where the issue is with this company.
