Personally, I thought it was a mediocre PPV.

- The women's MITB match was pretty average, the setups for the spots took too long, there were a lot of botches, and Naomi winning was disappointing.

- Dom's match was cool, but it was pretty short and there was practically no build up. Dom is being booked stronger but I don't know if this is doing him any good as a heel, the crowd is rooting for him more than they should.

- I didn't watch the Becky vs. Lyra match, I went to do something else.

- The men's MITB match was fun, but I didn't like the result either and I thought the timing of Fatu's face turn was bad, it seemed sudden even though the audience obviously liked it. I think this face turn could have happened in the future, and it would have been better with Solo as Mr. MITB.

But anyway, unfortunately we're going to have more Seth Rollins, it's not enough to be in the main event, be the leader of a stable and have Paul Heyman as a manager, did he need to be Mr. MITB?

- The main event was slow at the beginning, but I liked the ending, Logan Paul's spots and Cody's hot tag. R-Truth's return was really cool and Cody really needed this win, in my opinion it was the only thing right about this PPV in terms of booking.

“We don’t listen to social media.”

Oh but you do, Triple U-Turn. Oh but you do.

Just thinking as well, Truth’s contract was being run down — so technically you assume he’s still under contract with them, and he left with the belt last night, so what if he decides HE’S leaving in two weeks with the title now? Proper CM Punk 2011 style?

Sets up a match and blah blah blah.

I get how giving the briefcase to Rollins gives his faction an edge, being able to threaten the world champions anytime. I see why it makes sense story-wise if they want that story to be so relevant.

Still, already five times world champion Seth Rollins as Mr. Money in the Bank is boring as fuck. Literally the only guy in the match who doesn't need it. Even the other guys I didn't want to win (Penta an Andrade) would've created a "woah! What now?" feeling. Rollins is just same old.

I went to sleep after Lyra/Becky and caught the rest of the PPV.

Women's MITB was trash with the winner being someone that would have been fired a decade ago if it wasn't for who she's fucking. Crazy tenure for such a mediocre talent.

Main-Event level match on PPV with Dom and Octagon? lol.

Thank you Becky and Lyra for giving us one great match on this atrocious card.

Men's MITB...just horrible. The overbooking mess of Fatu screwing Solo, screwing LA Knight again, and having Rollins win MITB a decade later..yeah..awesome stuff..not at all boring and repetitive crap.

I'm honestly shocked they made me care SO LITTLE about John Cena since his feud with Orton. Trash trash trash.

I DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT R TRUTH.

AM I SERIOUSLY SUPPOSED TO GIVE A SHIT? WHAT THE FUCKKKK.

And you add the 9 year old having a stroke UH UH UH UH YEET BITCH to the mix and I fast forwarded to the last 3min of this show to catch what happened. And I don't care.

God forbid Cena gets a match with AJ Styles or Punk to have a good match finally.

My personal review

Women's MITB: It wasn't a bad match, but it was a step down from the previous year's matches for the women, but it was fine. Naomi was the right winner, I know people don't like her on her because she's married into the Anoai family, she's too old (I must have missed when 37 became old) but she was the most obvious choice storyline wise.

Dominik Mysterio vs Octagon Jr: Short match, probably could have used another 5 minutes, nice to see the AAA guys he some spotlight.

Lyra Valkyria vs Becky Lynch: Great match, these two know how to put on a good match, the ending with Valkyria half assing a beat down wasn't great, but it was fun.

Men's MITB: Match of the night, a little overbooked, but it was easily the best match on the show. Knight was who I would have picked, it would have signalled change and shocked the system a little bit, but I get why Rollins won, he was the safe and most logical choice to win, but I would have preferred something different.

Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso vs John Cena & Logan Paul: Boring match outside of a few spots and when Ron Killings made his little appearance.

Overall not a bad show, but the booking choices just feel very safe, they need to do something a little different and exciting.

Solid event from start to finish, with mostly the right winners. Whether it was the WWE backtracking or not, I love the R-Truth twist. Very rare in this day and age for the WWE (or any wrestling promotion) to be able to pull off a surprise like that. Shame Big Bore Becks had to win, predictable though it was, but at least it’s just the IC title…

Well @Kratosx23 this might not make you feel any better but:

- Randy doesn’t show up to wrestling anymore. There’s nothing about an injury or anything, he’s just disappeared like Triple Slut can’t think of anything to do with him so he has him sitting at home.

- Solo is probably gonna get embarrassed by Jacob, I don’t think Triple H will let him beat Jacob, unless JC interferes to cost Jacob or something, but then I don’t even know where they’d go from there so I feel like the thread I made about Solo getting buried will still be legit.

- AJ is probably going to retire by the end of the year and they probably won’t even do anything major with him. They teased a few things then abandoned ship before doing anything.

- They’ve been teasing a Theory turn for like a year now yet they still do almost nothing else with him, just fucking turn him already and stop having him mostly just come out and talk, let the man wrestle more.

- It was nice to see Rey Mysterio come out at the world’s collide event but he’s still injured and I’m sure he’s going to retire within the next while so there goes another one.

- CM Punk gets fucked repeatedly but you already know that.

- Angel is basically a nobody, lost in the shuffle with a bunch of GEEKS, he will never amount to anything more, he could leave today and no one else would be asking where he is cuz they wouldn’t notice. He’s not world title material at all but just want to point out he’s mostly made irrelevant and in a shit stable.

- Jey has been booked terribly, I was cool in the beginning with him being champ but what the YEET, they’ve made this run total garbage. I’m glad he beat Gunther cuz fuck that ogre but this is just sad what they’ve done with this title reign.

All my eye candy fucking suck.

You and I are both Knight fans as well so no need to discuss the disgrace that Hunter has made him in to.

So my wrestling life is mostly depressing at the moment. The only thing I’m excited about is what happens on SmackDown Friday with Solo and Jacob cuz that story is the only one intriguing to me right now but I still don’t see Solo coming out of this in a good way by the end of the story.

All my eye candy fucking suck.
Okay, I'm a straight guy so maybe I'm missing something here but... Orton? Yeah, I can definitely see that. Styles? I get it, the accent adds some ruggedness to him. Theory? Guy is shredded like a Greek statue. Punk? Makes sense, good charisma, has an edge to him. Solo? Hey, some chicks love teddy bear sorts. He's probably a great blanket.

But now I have to ask you, because I am so fascinated by this choice... Rey Mysterio? Lil Rey-Rey??? Aren't you like, taller than him? What's your angle here? You trying to swoop on Dirty Dom's inheritance? HUH?

Fucking shit the way the men’s match was hijacked and made a mcguffin to tell other stories which don’t concern the briefcase. I absolutely hated it. It’s not the time or the place and it absolutely takes away from what should have been to focal point.

plus rollins winning was the most boring outcome possible. He doesn’t fucking need the case.

Last night's women's MITB was a reminder of why I dislike ladder matches. There were just too many spots where someone could have easily climbed the ladder and grabbed the case. Like when Giulia stood on the ladder and just watched Rhea and Roxanne on the other side. She could have easily climbed up and grabbed the case in that time.

They just don't make those matches very convincing at all.

Yeah, the women’s match was a major disappointment to me, for the star power it had. It was very clunky to watch. Giulia had a rough outing. There was a spot where an unstable ladder fell on her back while she was punching another person and she didn’t improvise to act like it hurt while the audience were going ‘woahhh’. Made it feel like do these ladders really hurt. Roxanne and Naomi looked out of place and very careful with their movements. Alexa Stephanie and Rhea performed well and were smooth with their execution.

Money in the Bank Review

* Women's MITB match I thought was good work wise but not one of the best they've done and a step down from last year's. Unfortunately some of the spots they attempted fell flat like the one trapping Rhea with the ladder which just didn't want to co-operate. Best spot easily was the devil's kiss on to the ladder from Stephanie to Rhea. Honestly that move is easily one of the most over in the entire wrestling industry let alone WWE. Best performers in the match I thought were Rhea, Roxy and Stephanie. They had both Stephanie and Guilia come close to winning at times which is a good sign for their futures. Especially Guilia who I think needed the stronger booking out of the two coming into this match.

Let's talk about the finish....the finish itself regardless of the winner felt very flat, there was no real excitement or build to the finish and the knock off spot to Alexa and Rhea felt telegraphed. The winner....my god, this has to be up there as one of the top three worst MITB women's winners along with Nikki ASH. It's that level of bad and it's even worse because of who is in this match. You have the top three prospects who have come from NXT in Guilia, Roxy and Stephanie. You have a beloved veteran whose come back in Alexa who is still one of the best promo girls in the business as well as without a doubt the biggest women's star in the wrestling industry and arguably the best worker in Rhea. So who do you choose? This cunt:

The amount this nepo bitch gets because of who she is fucking and which family she married into is unreal. 0 talent who years ago took a giant shit on the company with Mercedes Mone. Yet SHE of ALL PEOPLE gets the briefcase? WHY?! Scratch top 3, this is the WOAT Women's MITB winner. At least Nikki was saddled with a crap gimmick. This is inexcusable.

And the worst part? Not even the worst booking decision of the night when you consider all the context of storylines. Fuck me sideways.

* Dom vs Octagon Jr. was okay for what it was. Just a showcase for a AAA guy and for Dom to get a title defence. It was a TV ass match, not much more to say.

* Becky vs Lyra was exactly what it needed to be work wise and as I predicted was the match of the night. This was a really great physical fight of a match, a lot more aggressive and urgent. Both women really wanted to kill the other, particularly Lyra was a lot more aggressive. A lot fantastic sequences, counters, holds and near falls. The best near finish however was the fake out double count out spot. I really bought into the fact they might end this with a double count out to get round the wager. It would have been a lame ending but for a false finish they executed this perfectly. I loved Becky's facial expressions throughout the match which told a great story in of itself. Surprised that Becky got the win here considering the stipulation with her taking the shortcut. I wasn't sure whether it was the right decision until the post match angle. I think they just about did enough of a balancing act between Becky being a bitch and milking in the stipulation and Lyra begrudgingly going along with it and until she had enough and attacked Becky afterwards. One small gripe I have is I feel as though Lyra could have gone further with the beatdown and really drove that anger and frustration home. But overall I loved this. We need the blow off at Evolution or Summerslam, I want Lyra/Becky III (IV if you count NXT).

* The Men's MITB work wise was easily the better of the two MITB matches yet somehow was also the worst booked out of the two with a Naomi win. How did they achieve this? All around the story of the Seth faction, how key wrestlers who should have been there did not show up to even the odds and how one wrestler got not only screwed over for the third MITB in a row but got buried in the process. Yes, I said buried. And I don't say this lightly.

I could go on about the match and certain spots like the El Grande Americano stuff with PENTA and Knight but I want to talk specifically about the finish starting with the inevitable interence from Bron and Bronson. Fine, they come in and look like monsters and take all the babyfaces out and are encouraging Rollins to go for the briefcase. They don't even wait for Rollins to be in a position to look like he's about win the match before they hit Jacob Fatu's music and out comes him and JC Mateo. Okay, small detail that I thought was a mistake but it makes sense for them to come out considering the teasing tension between both groups on SD. They attack Bron and Bronson and take them out and it looks like Fatu is going to help Solo win the briefcase. We all know he's not going to and eventually he turns on him and powerbombs him through the ladder. Up to this point I thought this was cool. Jacob gets a great moment turning babyface, Solo is protected in losing and it moves the story forward. Maybe it was a little soon but I think personally that's a nitpick, all good.

But then this is where it gets all time bad. Rollins comes back in the ring and is looking like he's going to win until LA Knight intercepts. Surely Knight gets the upper hand right? Nope. Bron and Bronson are going to interfere again and overwhelm Knight right? Nope. Then surely Punk and Sami come out to even the odds to allow a babyface to win the match after weeks of Rollins group dominating the babyfaces who were in or could have been in this match right? NO. What do they do? They have Rollins legitimately get the better of Knight, stomp his ass and then climb up to grab the briefcase himself. So just to recap:

1) Rollins wins the briefcase himself, Bron and Bronson aren't even involved in the finish rendering their involvement pointless. This buries all the babyfaces in this match, most of whom who were down FOREVER when they should have gotten back up by then.

2) Punk and Sami don't even come out to get a piece of Bron and Bronson when they are the key opponents to Rollins faction so you just buried the storyline around opposing this new big bad group who is supposedly taking over Raw.

3) Worst of all, you have LA Knight in a hope spot that is designed to bury him completely by making Seth, the supposed dastardly heel look legitimately better than him and he didn't need his big hosses to take out Knight despite the whole point of the fucking story being that Seth should win due to overwhelming odds. Instead he wins by himself, subsequently burying Knight and burying the entire point of the story.

Worst booking decision of the year BY A COUNTRY FUCKING MILE. FUCKING TRASH GOD AWFUL.

* The Main Event between Cody, Jey, Cena and Logan was fun for what it was. It was never going to be a 5 star classic as far as work is concerned but it didn't need to be. The crowd were into it, they picked up the pace when they needed to and did just enough to keep the crowd engaged to the finish. Logan was the standout in this match and his springboard moonsault to the announcer's table was an absolutely insane spot. I have to admit, i really enjoyed the finish with Truth's return setting up Cody to pin Cena for the win. I did notice a little nod to R-Truth with LA Knight's entrance and what Truth has called Knight before so I thought something was up for them to acknowledge it but I didn't see that coming. Very happy for him as he got the biggest pop of his life and it's a great way to reinsert him back into the mix continuing on from SNME. Didn't expect Cena to take the pin here but pleasantly surprised he did instead of Logan. Good ending to the show.

Overall work wise, this wasn't a bad show and in fact both the women's IC title match and Men's MITB delivered in ring wise but this had some of the worst booking of the year with both MITB matches. This has to be up there as one of if not the worst PLE of the year so far because of that.

R-Truth appearing there at the end was awesome but that still doesn't make up for some of the decisions with MITB.

Yeah the spot where Penta was just standing up there waiting for El Grande, that was very obvious.

I do think that WWE still cares about entertaining fans. R-Truth appearing there at the end for example. Some of these decisions though, I don't get.
