Probably. It's the stupidest choice. It's always the stupidest choice with these god damn idiots.
I don't honestly care if it's not LA Knight, the other 5 suck and it proves Triple H is a moron of proportions unfathomable no matter who wins. LA Knight is clearly the guy who has to win, he's the one who needs it or he's dead. The others have other stories going on, or will win the world title later. He doesn't. If he loses here, his career's over. So.....he'll lose here, because that's the goal.

Gable is a vastly better talent than Usaga, stupid gimmick or otherwise, and at least Andrade is an attempt to appeal to the Latino market/AEW free agents.Certainly not the stupidest choice when you have Andrade and Gable in there, at least he has a good story and isn’t fucking joke wrestler
Solo winning would accomplish literally nothing. It would make no money, it would make no one (comparatively) happy, it would be a waste of the briefcase as he'd probably cash in for the US title anyway, which is as good as losing your cash in, and it wouldn't send a positive message to anyone who wants to go to WWE or any new market.

Why would you want your favourite to look like a complete fucking numbnuts and cash in for the US title? Was it not bad enough when they did that to Austin Theory? If he cashes in for the US title, even if he wins the US title, he lost his cash in. That is a failed cash in. If I knew that LA Knight was gonna win, but then he was gonna cash it in for the IC or US title, I'd say don't even bother. Just kill his career outright tonight like they're gonna do in about 4 hours.
Besides, Usaga doesn't need to win MITB anyway because he's a multi time future world champion regardless. LA Knight is the only guy in this match where if he doesn't win, his career is actually over. This is the only shot he has.
And of course, Triple H wants his career to be over, and that's been the whole goal of his booking, so that's what we're gonna get.

Money still coming in on Solo, Knight and Rollins, Solo a moderate favorite still. Penta and Americano have faded into huge underdog territory, and Andrade is in better chance to win the lottery territory.
Let’s pretend Solo wins and cashes in….He’s going to beat Jacob and then Jacob can win KOTR and go for a higher title.
Cody is going to get his title back from Cena so no one is gonna go for that.
With Punk not in MITB, I think that means Rollins won’t be winning because Punk will cost him.
If Penta wins I don’t think he will go for Jey’s belt, I just don’t see anything there, but assuming Dom still has his belt, I can see him going for that.
Andrade isn’t winning, I hope to fuck they don’t let that joke Gable win with this stupid gimmick, and you don’t think Knight is winning so let’s rule him out for that (though if he does win I can see a cash in on Jey).
I am sure by the end of the night both you and I will be bitter cunts but it’s fun to discuss scenarios and hope those we like win, no matter how low the chances might be

I don't know if you're gonna be bitter or not. Usaga might win. He's the favourite. It's WWE, the talent they push is always as awful as him. LA Knight is the one guy who I would give a literal 0% chance of winning. I will not be happy no matter what because I know Triple H.
Well, let’s put it this way.
I don’t get super angry about wrestling like you do. Disappointed when my favorites don’t win, sure, and I’ll be an uppity cunt for a few minutes, but I still have fun discussing wrestling. Can’t take scripted entertainment so seriously.

Well, it's a lot easier when the talent you love loses, when you know they have a gigantic future in the company, than when they're always people the company books like shit and is actively out to sabotage. If Usaga doesn't win, he will be fine. He will be more than fine. He will be a future multi time world champion. If LA Knight doesn't win, he may as well quit, because this is the last chance he's got.
And yes, I can take it that seriously. It pisses me off when they make the people I like failures. I don't like rooting for failures.
