I am one of the anti-SJW's @The Apostate talks about. :grin2:
Sounds like you have taken responsibility for what happened, which is good. In spite of all the shit that you have done, at least you are willing to admit that you are trying to do the right thing.
Now, for your ex-girlfriend and the friend who messed up your mom's car...fuck them. Not literally, but you don't need them. If they try to approach you down the road, let them know you want nothing to do with them and move on. In fact, I'd be dragging that friend of yours to court for destroying mom's car. Get whatever you can out of him.
The problem with being silent (I know that in cases of criminal matters your lawyer will advise you to keep your mouth shut but at least you would have a mouthpiece) is that you let others set the agenda and the narrative. Since this group wouldn't say anything, the time has come to do your thing. As this Twitch outfit wouldn't help you or be honest, I personally see you have no obligation to stay quiet.
I would come out publicly and tell your side of the story, warts and all. Let them know also that Twitch failed to keep their promises and deliberately covered up what happened for fear of their own reputations. It's not so much the crime that causes the most shame, it's the cover-up. If someone from there tells you to be quiet, keep talking. Let them know that you refuse to be silent and you will tell your side, even if that puts them in a bad light. There will be angry people as a result, but you have to take care of yourself first and foremost. You'll feel better after you take the initiative.
If they have a problem with it, tell them to kiss your ass and let them know that if this brings everything crashing down it is their fault. Now, how far you take that is up to them. The easy thing to want to do is destroy the event so that no one wants it and it is as radioactive as Chernobyl. I wouldn't go that far, but let them know that what happened could have been prevented.
