Is there any reason apart from laziness that the WWE doesn't put any effort into booking mid card feuds and making us care about them.

Because i'm sure with the talent that is there we could have some preety good television if booked correctly. when was the last time we saw a backstage beatdown, a promo between two midcard wrestlers or any mid card feud we was invested in? Thoughts Guys...

Worst thing about this company. And it all starts with how little respect/regard given to the IC title. We should always have a real, legit, killer feud going on for that title. It should be one of the headlining matches at Mania.

Sucks.

It's during wrestlemania season. Most of the roster is building towards a battle royal, with Hogan pushing the event. Batista, Orton, HHH and Bryan are main eventing. Cena, Wyatts, Shield and Taker/Lesnar are your current mid card. Most of the roster can't compete on that level anyway. Give it a couple months and you'll start seeing the low to mid carders again.

They don't care enough about the midcard. The main eventers make the money, and if there is a midcarder they wanna push up to main event status (like currently with Roman Reigns, Cesaro), they signal that one guy out and give him a megapush, to make him a main eventer. The cycle repeats.

Some midcarders are just doomed, like Kofi. WWE has never wanted to make him a main eventer (except a short while in 2009), so he's been just hanging around for most of his WWE career.

Its a shame cus the midcarders are some of the better athletes the company has, and they don't book them properly, or have good stories for them. Ziggler imo is a top midcard talent. And he's just one of many that should be pushed more. I don't think they care about the midcard, and they should.

I actually see the mid-card getting better, but it was almost non-existent for a good while. I think the WWE is slowly figuring out that they can't just have the top guys and then treat everyone else like they don't matter until they need a new top guy and just super-push one of the "don't matters" to the top, and people will just care about them.

The Shield, Wyatts, Real Americans are examples of the mid-card getting better and having "storylines". I am not saying its completely fixed, long-way to go with it yet IMO, but I at least have seen some change in regards to the mid-card of late.

The thing with WreslteMania this year, is out side of the top 4 matches, everyone else on the card is in a big battle royal, so that is the story.
