It's a shame as the show was such a mess in the financial department because I honestly thought it was the best wrestling show on TV around season 1 and 2. They had some awesome ideas and approached wrestling in such a creative way. They took that goofy side of wrestling and really played around with it and provided so much entertainment. :(

If you think Lucha Underground was a wrestling show then I guess No Holds Barred and Ready To Rumble were wrestling shows as well. Lucha was a sitcom about professional wrestling it wasn't actual pro wrestling.
If you want them to be they are, I got no time for gatekeeping over what is and isn't wrestling based on semantics. Go email Jim Cornette if you wanna discuss that.

Meltzer also gave up on it after season 3. I held out about halfway through 4 when it just got too stupid with the giant lizard and Paul London and his Rabbit group. It went way over the top for me. Then they decided to do business with that pathetic shitshow Impact wrestling. Would've been better to partner with Ultimate Surrender, the lesbian porn series. They have a better reputation actually.

I'll miss LU and the 3 1/2 seasons of awesome shit.

I enjoyed the way women were treated as equals as they feuded against each other and gave us some really good intergender matches. My favorite being Pentagon Dark vs Io Shirai,Kairi Hojo and Mayu Iwatani.

Angelico was outstanding as was the announcing team of Matt Striker and Vampiro. And one of my favorite feuds was between Killshot and Dante Fox.

And this man...

Season 1 and 2 kicked serious ass. Once I saw the likes of Prince Puma and Pentagon Jr. on other promotions it became clear LU's time was limited. It was fun while it lasted.

shame they couldn't build off of that first season. That first season was some of the most fun I have had watching wrestling in a while.

RIP Vampiro commentary edits.

DAMN...brother. YEAH. *grumbles & breathes*

Also, Brian Cage curb stomped Willie Mack's head into a cement block. Never forget.

Vamp putting Konnan over on commentary, but always making sure to mention he fucking hates him. :lmao

B-Boy getting eaten by a monster was my favourite moment.

someone should buy the lucha underground arena before it gets torn down. It had such a underground fight feel to it. Would be great place to shoot shows for a promotion like the NWA

Season 1 was the best wrestling show in years, no doubt in my mind. Storyline consistency was on a level rarely seen in modern wrestling.

Despite the negative aspects of how contracts were handled, which emerged during the last seasons, definitely helped a lot to the careers of some guys. Pentagon and Fenix really grew on me big time in this show. The character development of Pentagon was amazing and made really wanna follow where will this crazy mother f'er go from here.

The show also introduced to us one of the most iconic and best non-wrestler figures ever in the face of Dario Cueto. Would mark out if this guy gets involved in wrestling again, even for somewhat of a cameo.

The production quality and style of shooting were really great and unique for a wrestling show. Hope some guys of the production team will keep working
in the business or at least someone will borrow form their work and way of shooting a wrestling match, even though taped.

I think this show didn't get the exposure it deserved and its legacy for the wrestling business is something that will be fully appreciated in the future.

Lucha Underground was way ahead of its time and will go down as one of the best wrestling products of all time.

I wish other products would take Lucha Underground’s vision of long term booking and fast paced storytelling
