Let's turn Drew McIntyre Face :)

Just playing around with WWE 12 on universe mode, making stable and Heel/Face turns and I randomly remember Sheamus and Drew having a little bit of an alliance between 2010-11. Then I did a bit of research and realized that these 2 have know each other for sometime now.

Sheamus is getting stale with Del Rio and Drew deserves WAY better. Why not have Del Rio hire Hunico and Camacho to beat down Sheamus and they be his hired thugs, then have Drew make the save. Face turn and alliance with Sheamus then have Barret return and have him fued with Sheamus and Drew can fued with Del Rios mob. They could tag occasionally. Not be a tag team just an alliance.

I love Drew and I hate seeing him being wasted. Plus everyone in this situation benefits.

It doesn't matter him as a face or a heel. He's not getting used anyway.
I hardly imagine him as face.
He's a great heel. Don't take that away from him.
They are testing him as a face at house shows .
WWE will probably turn Drew unemployed before they turn him face.
I can't see McIntyre working at all as a face. He's a natural heel and turning him won't benefit him. In fact, he'll probably struggle even more to get a reaction since it's going against everything that he presents in the ring.

He's worked a few house shows as a face but that's because he filled in for another face that was supposed to be booked. There wasn't a plan to test a face turn.
Drew is supposedly a great natural babyface.

Also, Sheamus and he have known each other for years now, 5+ certainly. They often even went so far as to say "best friends", though, I wonder how that holds up these days. You'd imagine that Sheamus, although not a backstage "magnet" like Cena or HHH, would lobby for Drew.

BTW, OP, pretty basic scenario, but it could work fine.

Drew was in that angle with KK and that had potential. WWE could've turned him face at Wrestlemania during the match versus Team Teddy but they didn't and now he's back to where he is. Jobber city or Superstars if yo will.
They gave him the IC title run and was even promoted the chosen one by Vince McMahon, but the problem was that he didn't get over. His mic skills and charisma are limited so I doubt a face turn would change anything, all he will do is probably only smile more. He is still young so that might eventually get him another shot down the line, but I would rather a guy like Alex Riley get moved up right now.
They should have turned him face when he went on that losing streak, where Teddy fired him, the fans where really getting be hide him at that point, it was a miss opportunity for wwe.
I've watched Drew wrestle since he was 19, met him a few times in person also, he plays an awesome heel, but as a face he is very easy to get behind. Anything is worth a shot at this point.

I think that at that point everyone was thinking "That's it, it is most certain, like, 100% sure that Drew will turn face like MVP did."
Yet he didn't.
Instead he got his ONLY win on RAW/SD! this year... Over Hornswoggle.

This; I've heard this numerous times before, and although I haven't met him, everyone who has says that he has that babyface feel to him.

Tyrion.

They should've turned him face before that losing streak. What was the point of it? The angle went nowhere. Why was Drew fired? I just don't understand that.
I'd rather they push McIntyre as a heel. He reminds me of a young HHH. I was thinking they could push him as Triple H's Chosen One, "The New Game". Like have Hunter come out and say

"A few years ago, Vince McMahon had a vision. A vision that a man would be the future of this business, and carry the WWE into the next generation. I intend to continue that vision and ensure that Vince's wishes come to pass."

HHH then calls out Drew McIntyre.
I think a solid way to get him over as a "face" would be to start with Wade Barrett's return. At some point Drew comes across Wade backstage, and looks so excited to see, and starts to talk about their past. Wade is pretending to be very interested in what Drew is saying. Drew then asks Barrett what he thinks about running after tag team gold like they used to do when they were nobodies before they were signed by the WWE. Finally Wade just breaks it to Drew that he(Drew) is still a "nobody", and Wade points out that he is easily one of the most well known stars in the WWE.

Barrett goes on to say many other insulting things about Drew, who would look shocked after hearing what was just said. Wade talks about how Drew was this "Chosen One", and completely dropped the ball. He goes on to tell Drew that the reason they will never tag up ever is due to the fact that he carried them when they were on their way to the WWE, and he grew tired of it. The confrontation ends with blows as Drew would just snap, and the two men would start fighting it out.

Basically the WWE needs to bring up their past on the road together before they made it up to the WWE. Barrett is the perfect heel for Drew to establish a "face" character for. You mention their old history just to make a story roll. Granted most fans may not know that both men were a successful tag team before coming to the WWE. Every feud needs some background, and I have noticed that the WWE lacks that understanding for the most part. Wade gives Drew an ass kicking that he will never forget, but in the end Drew gets the last laugh. Drew could easily turn "face" in a feud with Wade Barrett.

Why do everyone's stables always involve putting Mexican wrestlers together, black wrestlers together, or in this case irish/scottish.

Let me guess we will eventually bring back Fit Finlay in the Flair role?
My problem with this is that it would go against his ring style completely.
How is Drew gonna turn face when we hardly see him. Seriously this guy needs to get out of WWE and just wrestle on the indys he can be his own character there and not have to suffer all the politics
