The adult forum is without doubt THEE most viewed forum on WE with most posts being viewed 3000-3500 times

Now how about turning this to your advantage

how about making this forum only available to registered members, no guests can view it, (more people on members list!)

also when you enter that forum you have to go through an ADVERT to get there making some MONEY for the forums

so WE gets more members and more money....

just a thought

Yes i agree with Steve, if you go on the Who's Online section and take a look at what the guests are viewing about 90% of it is porn. But even if they were forced to register that doesn't necessarily mean they're going to post. They'll probably just stay inactive like alot of other members.

Who cares, more members bring in more members. That's what WZ does, look how many members they have!

The guests here mainly come for the woman forums. When they view the area, They are hit with pop-ups, Brining in more money.

If they were forced to register, Many would just visit a different site, Causing less guests, Meaning less income.

It's fine the way it is.

Unless they have pop-up stoppers, they receive pop-ups, which helps WEForums out. A while back (probably five months ago at least), Shawn and myself had it set so you had to register to view the forum. Less members register and our guest count was dramatically low. (It was around 20-40 guests at most times) After realizing this I changed the forum back where guests can view it.

Guests are about the only way WEForums survives.

I was thinking about making a member's only forum though and posting a message telling people they could get more benefits if they registered, but I don't know...

Just to let you guys know, I talked to RF about the problem and he suggested the same thing you guys did. After I told him about the guest count going low many months ago because registered members only could view it, he said leave it the way it is. He also said he'll talk to Amish about a server upgrade. (Don't expect a server upgrade though. Chances are it'll remain the same way...don't get your hopes up. )

Ermm sorry to bring this up again but have you admins ruled out the arcade idea???? that would definately rake in the members if you had to register to use it but i've also heard that it is hard to do. I posted this in another thread but no one replied so i'm guessing its been ruled out.

I spoke to Lee about this last night.

He said he cant do hacks, But to speak to Shawn. Shawn was able to at one point, And may be able to still. I'm waiting for him to come on AIM< So i can ask him about it.

I'm not gonna pretend i know anything about this stuff cos i don't but the guy called TripleEfffect69 said he was prepared to email the script of the arcade to one of the admins if they contact him. This was in the thread that Stinger started in this forum, once again i don't really have a clue how you would use the script or anything but i'm just letting ya know in case you didn't see the thread.

It is a better idea for the forums, but allowing guests is better for Amish's wallet.

Remember what Amish said about the site maybe having to close? Well...the guests keep us open. Really...so taking that away would probably result in WEForums closing. (Maybe not the first month, but eventually)
