Look on the bright side, at least Roman looked strong tonight. He should always look strong. Roman or Cena should NEVER be made to look vulnerable at all.

Had they came up with a great storyline where he is kept in the background to let the crowd beg for him to do something, he'd be over BIG time now. You don't push someone so obvious now, you just don't.

People can chant what they want, but the difference between Cena and Roman was that Cena was a significant business mover on every level.
That's why WWE kept pushing Cena in spite of the negative reactions he'd get on tv and PPV's. Cena moved business before and after a significant portion of the crowd turned on him.
Reigns would do well as a heel. He might even get over as a heel. It would allow him to be himself. But WWE doesn't want to do that. I wish them luck.

poor man's imitations helps no one. if anything Reigns needs a chant of his own, the fans using Cena's thing on him isn't going to work for very long before it turns into parody and further cements Reigns as Cena 2.0 -- I don't think even his diehard fans want him to be stuck with that stigma

And that's why Cena has been booed more than anyother face of the company in history. He just mows everyone down for a decade straight with no depth or vulnerability to his character. No one is saying he should lose alot, but some vulnerability and depth would have done alot for Cena's run on top. What is so interesting about mowing down the roster for 10 years straight? Nothing.

What it is is that most people who dislike him probably want to boo him. However, when the supporters chant the "Let's go" stuff, the detractors feel forced to do the "Roman sucks" things, because otherwise it just seems like the crowd's supporting him. You know?
It's a shame that due to Cena, there's now a generation who genuinely thinks that that's just what happens with faces, and it's normal for a face to receive that reaction. Good babyfaces do not consistently get booed or "sucks" chants. It's an indicator that something is really failing or missing.
