What was the wrestling submission maneuver and finisher that is a legit dangerous according to you? Am not talking about wrestlers using it or the flashiness of the move, simply the legitimate effectiveness maneuver.

To me, the finisher is pile driver (texas or owen hart kind) and the submission maneuver is dragon sleeper(The one Dan Severn used).

The dragon sleeper isn't dangerous at all. It's a completely inefficient choke. The regular sleeper, on the other hand? It's basically a rear naked choke and that would mess you right up.

The STO is brutal.

Well, dangerous finishers wouldn't be allowed because it isn't worth the risk. As far as the ones that look like they could be messed up easily, any form of spike piledriver or vertebreaker. Pretty much any move could be dangerous if done with intent to harm, but in a wrestling atmosphere they're all pretty safe.

Well I put the Walls of Jericho on a friend when I was 10 and he screamed like a little bitch, so I assume that one hurts. He kept tapping but I refused to release the hold because I felt like the ultimate badass.

Probably why they tell you to not try it at home....

The sleeper is a rear naked choke, so highly effective. The arm bar, ankle lock and kimura are fully legit. The omaplata style locks aren't that effective though and is mostly used as a sweep when done on a sufficiently skilled opponent.

When it comes to submissions, pain is not the most relevant thing. Several leg locks don't hurt until it's too late. The point of a submission is that it's a lock that will break something in your body if it's completed (or leave you unconscious if it's a choke). If a submission is applied correctly you can never just survive it by enduring the pain, as you can in pro wrestling. If you do then you'll get the result of Brock's kimuras on HHH. Tap or snap.

Other than that of course piledrivers are extremely dangerous and possible to pull off for real.

And a note to the poster above me; a heel hook is different from an ankle lock. The former uses your arm (instead of hand) to twist the heel (instead of the foot) and can completely wreck the opponent's knee.
