Live! from American Airlines Arena', Miami, FL

*Fireworks erupt as the opening music to the very first Global Wrestling Association’s “Prime Time Thursday Night” plays over the PA system. The crowd are in good voice and we head down to ringside*

Commentators voice

Michael Cole - "Live from the 'American Airlines Arena' in Miami, Florida, welcome everyone to the Global Wrestling Association! Welcome everyone to “Prime Time Thursday Night”. I'm Michael Cole and I'm here with my co-commentator, Matt Striker."

Matt Striker - "Michael tonight we will see the birth of a brand new force in the world of sports entertainment. Superstars from across the globe will be here to showcase their talents on this new Thursday night phenomenom…”Prime Time Thursday Night”!

Michael Cole - "Without further ado, lets go down to ringside to our ring announcer, "The Fink" Howard Finkel."

The Fink - "Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the General Manager of the Global Wrestling Association...MIKE ADAMLE!"

Generic music plays as Mike Adamle comes out to a chorus of booing and jeering carrying a velvet bag. Seemingly Undeterred, he enters the ring and waves to the audience. Adamle then puts on a pair of glasses and pulls out what seems like a script. Adamle then takes the mic and is now ready to address the crowd.

Mike Adamle - "Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome to Global Wrestling Association’s “Prime Time Thursday Night'. Tonight you will see the start of a shake up in the sports entertainment industry and you will bear witness to a changing in the landscape in the wrestling world.
First of all tonight, you will see the Cruiserweight division being reborn."

Crowd cheer.

Mike Adamle - "Superstars from all across the world...from Japan, Mexico, Canada, the United Kingdom and right here in the good old US of A will compete once more in the land of high flyers and daredevils to give you, the fans, a treat each and every week and leave you all begging for more of their death defying abilities.
Thursday nights will also see tag team wrestling getting a shot in the arm of adrenaline and become rejuvenated. Tag team wrestling is a skilful art and over the years has slowly demised in front of our very eyes. Teams like 'The Road Warriors', 'The Hart Foundation', 'Team 3D', 'Demolition', 'The Steiner Brothers', 'Harlem Heat' all laid a path in this industry which has now become desolate and barren. That path gets a clean sweep tonight as we will see tag team wrestling become an integral part of this company. You'll see the likes of 'The New Foundation' from Calgary, Alberta, Canada...You'll also see teams here like the 'Motor City Machine Guns' and 'America's Most Wanted'...not to mention the aptly named 'The World's Greatest Tag Team'!"

The crowd boo and cheer accordingly to the names called out.

Mike Adamle - "Now finally, before the action gets underway...."

Adamle opens the velvet bag to reveal the brand new GWA Heavyweight Championship.

Mike Adamle - "This is the GWA Heavyweight Championship. At the moment there is no holder however............."

Music hits *YOU CANT SEE ME. MY TIME IS NOW*

John Cena is in the arena and is met with a mixed reaction. Cena salutes the crowd in attendance and heads to the ring. Cena slides in and whips his baseball hat into the crowd.

Boos ring louder and begin to drown out the women and children's screams.

John Cena - "THE CHAMP...IS HERE!"

Crowd boo louder and Cena just laughs and shrugs it off.

Mike Adamle - "Excuse me John, but I do have an announcement to make. Now I dont want to spoil the party, but if you think I am making you Heavyweight Champion, then that is not the case."

Cena laughs

John Cena - "No Mr. Adamle, thats not what I expected, and to be honest with its not what I would want. All I'm out here for right now is to ask for a chance to earn that strap and become the first GWA Heavyweight Champion."

Mixed reaction from crowd

Mike Adamle - "............."

*YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME*

Smoke billows from the ramp and fireworks greet 'The Rated R Superstar'....EDGE!!! The crowd boo heavily as Edge hits the ring and takes a microphone.

Edge - "Mike Adamle, it seems that the rumours of you being completely incompetent are false. NOT making John Cena as your champion is a smart move, but do you know what is even smarter?? Huh? Well?? Do ya??? It's making someone who will bring you ratings champion...and that someone is ME!"

Crowd boo heavily

Edge - "And...."

Pyro explodes.....*ONE OF A KIND*

Rob Van Dam walks out to a standing ovation as the crowd erupt.

RVD - "Whooa guys, guys this is so not cool. Everybody needs to relax! The whole arena here tonight and the people around the world know that the only option that Mr. Adamle has tonight is to put the strap around the waist of his number one superstar...someone who can guarantee top performances week in and week out...someone who can produce Five Star efforts in all that he does...someone like "Mr. Thursday Night"....ROB....VAN....DAM!"

The crowd join in with the actions and cheer loudly for the fan favourite and break into a 'RVD' chant.

Mike Adamle - "Gentlemen if you'd allow me to finish my announcent...NONE of you will be 'given' this title! My announcement......"

The tune of 'Killswitch Engage’ and their song *This Fire Burns* plays out and heavy boos come from the crowd as CM Punk slowly walks to the ring signalling for his music to be cut.

Michael Cole - "What in the world is happening now Matt? General Manager Adamle is being shown zero respect here tonight."

Matt Striker - "You're absolutely correct Cole and it will be interesting to see how our General Manager handles this insubordination. Until then, I think 'The Second City Saint' has something to say...."

Punk begins to speak.

CM Punk - "Michael before you speak another word, I beg you to think very carefully about what you say next and the repercussions that your words will have. Just think what you can accomplish on your very first show by setting an example and giving that Heavyweight Championship to me. I can set the standard in this company for all those beneath me to try to reach. I can become a role model for all of these people here and at home...those people who reach daily into their bathroom cabinets for their prescription drugs that they use merely to get through their day! I can become a shepherd to those men and women in the back who are lost and I can save their souls!"

Crowd are getting pretty riled up with Punk and are booing loudly.

CM Punk - "Mr. Adamle sir, I can respect the reasons why you dont give the title to a man who indulges in recreational drugs and talks freely about it. I can respect why you dont hand the title over to an adulterer also. I can also see your point of view where you wont give it to a man who 95% of this crowd refuse to follow! Mr. Adamle, these people will follow me and you can rely on me to teach these athletes to put down their prescription pills and become Straight Edge like myself. Not only will that make your roster of underachievers better, but it will make you a better person for making the correct decision!
Michael Adamle, Straight Edge is a term that means "I am better than you"...and as I am the only Straight Edge Superstar on this roster it does mean that I am the best...therefore I dont expect that title as means of charity like these other abusers...it means that I deserve it!"

Crowd boo.

Adamle looks very frustrated.

Mike Adamle -
"ENOUGH!!! This has all gone on for long enough. Nobody is being given the title, donated the title, or handed the title. My announcement is this...in five weeks time this company will be holding its first ever Pay Per View! Live from Madison Square Garden in New York City, we will have the first annual GWA 'WrestleFest'. And in that night we will make history...we will crown our very first Global Wrestling Association Heavyweight Champion in a one night, eight man tournament! Now as far as I'm concerned you four superstars are all very welcome to throw your names into the brackets and "earn" this belt but until then it stays with me. I thank you all for your time."

Adamle walks out of the ring with the title belt and makes his way up the ramp as the four superstars remain in the ring looking on. As Adamle is about to walk through the curtain...

PYROS EXPLODE WITH FIRE AND THE ARENA TURNS RED AS ORGAN MUSIC PLAYS OUT.

Red"]Kane walks out to the ramp way as Adamle backs up and runs to the back via the floor exit. Kane just stares down the four men in the ring as the crowd cheer on the 'Big Red Machine'. Kane begins to laugh maniacally and slowly raises his arms in the air…only to thrust them down and set the turnbuckles alight!

Matt Striker - "That’s the 'Big Red Machine' Cole, is he throwing his name into this tournament too? Can anybody stop this harbinger of doom on his path of destruction?"

Michael Cole -
"I'm not sure if they can Matt, Kane is one tough customer and psychopath to boot. We'll see where this leads us as General Manage Adamle has now announced our first ever Pay Per View event in five weeks...’WrestleFest’! Wow Matt! This is huge news!!!"

Matt Striker -
"It is Michael and I'm looking forward to being a part of it. Something else I'm looking forward to is the first match of the evening after the commercial break...'The Redneck Renegade’ Jamie Noble will go one on one with a man from Brooklyn, New York...Red!"

First break of the evening.

We return from the break ready for our first match of the evening!

The Fink – “Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your opening contest, and it is scheduled for one fall……”

Crowd pop in anticipation as Red’s music plays out.

The Fink – “First making his way down the aisle, from Brooklyn, New York! Weighing in at 150 lbs……RED!”

Red begins to walk down the aisle high fiving the young fans in attendance, and climbs to the top rope, only to backflip his way into the ring.

Michael Cole – “We have heard big things about this man Matt, he comes from Brooklyn, New York and rumours are, General Manager Adamle is looking at Red to take this division by storm.”

Matt Striker – “Red…150 lbs of lightening reflexes and a catalogue of high flying moves. But will this youngster be able to use his arsenal to great effect against this man?…Fifteen year veteran, ’The Redneck Renegade’…Jamie Noble!”

Noble’s music starts.

Jamie Noble emerges from the curtain like a man on a mission as he storms down to the ring pointing his finger and shouting obscenities at his opponent already in the ring.

The Fink – “and his opponent, from Hanover, West Virginia, weighing 202 lbs…’The Redneck Renegade’, Jamie Noble!”

‘The Redneck Renegade’ Jamie Noble v Red
Match starts off at a frantic pace with Red giving Noble the runaround, dodging clotheslines and hits a few dropkicks of his own to send Noble reeling. Noble manages to get close to Red and slow him down with a poke to the eye and follows it up with an Irish Whip into the ropes. Red manages to hit a head scissors and sends Noble to the outside.
As Noble tries to buy himself a few seconds to regroup, Red throws himself over the top rope with a corkscrew plancha and then sends Noble back to the inside as the crowd are really starting to back Red!
Michael Cole – “This is truly amazing! This is exactly the kind of action that General Manager Adamle promised the fans and by God…he’s come through on his promise!”
As Red climbs back into the ring, Noble cuts him off at the pass with a dropkick of his own to the knee and begins to take advantage of the situation by stomping away at Red as he is down.
For the next few minutes, Noble takes down Red with hard bodyslams to tbe canvass and realising the way to stop Red is stop his flight, begins to apply numerous leg locks to wear him down.
Matt Striker – “Jamie Noble….’The Redneck Renegade’….showing us all here tonight what a student of the game he really is. He realises what needs to be done here to stop Red…this firecracker of an opponent he has here….and that is to take him down to the mat and ground him full stop!”
After several minutes of wearing down Red with various submission holds and gaining a couple of near falls, Noble begins to show his hot temper and become impatient. Noble picks Red up and hits a hard brainbuster. 1…2…Red is up! Noble lets out a heavy sigh and goes for another big move…double underhook powerbomb…1…2…Red pops a shoulder up at 2 and three quarters.
Noble turns to referee Mike Chioda and slaps his palms three times implying he wants a faster count.
Noble picks up Red onto his shoulders and sets him up for the ‘Confederacy Crunch’ Gut-buster………Red reverses it in mid air and lands a hurricanrana! As Noble gets to his knees, Red hits one kick, two kick…ENZUIGIRI!!! Red sells his leg injury and tries to send Noble into the ropes…but it’s reversed. Noble swings a clothesline…Red ducks and comes off the opposite ropes…Red throws himself up into the air and hits a bulldog from a bodyscissors position on Noble. With Jamie Noble on his back, a limping Red hits a running…or should we say…hobbling….’Red Star Press’…1…2…3!!!
Winner via pinfall, Red

Christy Hemme is out the backstage area with Robert Roode.

Christy Hemme – “Bobby Roode, you’ve been a tag team specialist for many years and now you’re here in the GWA alone. Can you make a successful transition into a singles competitor?”

Robert Roode – “First of all lady, it’s not Bobby…its Robert! Robert Roode! And Robert Roode is here for one thing and one thing only….BUSINESS!
For too long, I have carried other men and women on my back and gained them championships and notoriety and from this moment on, it all stops! Robert Roode is in it all for himself now, and I have the ability and know how to take all of the skills that made me a great tag team wrestler…and use them to become an even greater singles champion! Starting later tonight, you’re going to see that Robert Roode is ‘All Business’.

We cut to another part of the backstage area where Todd Grisham is with Matt Hardy, Shannon Moore and Shane Helms.

Todd Grisham – “Matt Hardy, Shane Helms, Shannon Moore, welcome all to the Global Wrestling Association!”

The three men all nod in acknowledgement.

Todd Grisham – “Now Matt, in the past you’ve had a very successful career, especially in the tag team division, but for one reason or another you’ve failed to make that final step and make the it to the top. Now that you have a fresh start in the GWA, can you finally show the world that Matt Hardy is ready to smash through the glass ceiling?”

Matt Hardy – “Well Todd, you’re right, in the past, I have failed to make the grade and achieve the standards that even I have set for myself. These two guys here (pointing to Helms and Moore) will tell you exactly the same thing about their careers…we’ve all underachieved!
Now it is no secret that Shannon, Shane and I all go way back with each other and now that we have come here to the GWA, we have all made a promise to ourselves that with this new start, each one of us will achieve the goals that we set and we will all live up to the expectations that we have of ourselves! Todd, now it is our time! The OMEGA Boyz are here to make an impact and this time…We will NOT die!”

Fade to a commercial break

We return from the commercial break with “The Fink” in the centre of the ring, microphone in hand…..

The Fink – “Ladies and Gentlemen the following contest is scheduled for one fall! Currently in the ring, from Miami, Florida…weighing in at 236 lbs….Anthony Price”

Price gives a coy wave to the crowd as he gets a small pop for being the hometown hero and stretches out in the corner awaiting his opponent.

The Fink – “And his opponent……”

The entrance theme of ‘All Business’ Robert Roode fills out the arena as Roode walks down the aisle decked out in a black and red sequined robe.

The Fink – “….weighing 240 lbs, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada…’All Business’ Robert Roooooooooooode”.

Michael Cole – “Matt, Robert Roode claims to be here for one reason and one reason only….and that’s for himself.”

Matt Striker – “Robert Roode has been a tag team specialist for many years now and claims to have carried his partner’s every time he’s stepped in the ring with them. Now, Roode is here to show the world exactly what he’s all about! And he is a very skilled competitor Michael.”

Roode gets into to the ring and taunts the crowd as he dresses down and bounces of the ropes gently to warm up.

Michael Cole – “Well, they say there is a fine line between cockyness and confidence…lets see how fine that line is when Robert Roode walks it tonight!”

‘All Business’ Robert Roode v Anthony Price
The bell rings and Roode gains the early advantage with a knee to the midsection of Price and takes further control with some forearm smashes back into the corner. Price squirms as Roode stomps away at his midsection and crashes forearms down on the back of his neck, as the referee makes a five count to break up the mauling.
Roode pulls Price to the centre of the ring and hits a standing dropkick and then turns to pose to a booing crowd with his arms wide open.
Anthony Price begins to stagger his way to hit feet tenderly and Roode takes him by the arm and shoots him into the ropes and in one swift motion sweeps Price off of his feet and hits an Arn Andersonesque spine buster and goes for the cover. 1…2…Price pops a shoulder up! Roode slaps on a reverse chinlock and begins to berate Price over and over.
Robert Roode – “Come on boy…that all you got? You got any better than this?”
Roode gets to his feet and plants a big boot square into the base of Anthony Price’s spine and then steps back for a run up as he hits snap mare and goes for the pinfall. 1…2…Kick out.
Roode pulls Price up to his feet, showing no signs of frustration, and slaps him around a bit before launching him into the turnbuckles. Roode with a charge in….but Price moves at last second! Fists of fury from Price and now he sends Roode into the ropes. BIG DROPKICK from Price! Price is building momentum here and is sensing a comeback Price to the top rope clutching the back of his neck as he climbs…the effects of the beat down and snap mare are clearly showing.
HIGH CROSSBODY….NO!!! Roode moves and Price hits the mat hard! Roode pulls up Price quickly and hits a picture perfect neckbreaker.
Robert Roode – “THAT’S IT!”
Robert Roode takes Anthony Price to his feet once more and hooks in the front facelock…’Payoff’ Fisherman Suplex…1….2….3!!!
Winner via pinfall, Robert Roode

The Fink – “Here is your winner…’All Business’ Robert Rooooooooooode”

Matt Striker –“Wow, Robert Roode truly did mean business tonight. He was a machine out there tonight…no messing around! Just strictly business!”

Michael Cole – “That was a very impressive performance there. I still think he may be walking that fine line between confidence and cockiness but I’m sure time will tell just how good Robert Roode actually is!
Ladies and Gentlemen, coming up after our next commercial break…we will see ‘The World’s Greatest Tag Team in competition…stay tuned.”

Commercial Break

The Fink – “Ladies and Gentleman this tag team match is scheduled for one fall!”

The music of The World’s Greatest Tag Team starts up and out come Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas.

The Fink – “Making their way to the ring, at a total combined weight of 497 lbs…Charlie Haas…Shelton Benjamin…The World’s Greatest Tag Team!!!”

Haas and Benjamin stand on opposite turnbuckles with their arms raised to the crowd who boo and jeer both men.

Michael Cole – “The fans have seemed to have taken an instant dislike to the self proclaimed World’s Greatest Tag Team Matt…can they win them over with their display tonight?”

Matt Striker – “Michael I really don’t think either Benjamin or Haas could care less what the fans think!!! They call themselves The World’s Greatest Tag Team for a reason….they believe in themselves! They believe in their own ability and they truly do believe that it is their God given right to go to the very top of this company!”

The Fink – “And their opponents...currently in the ring…weighing a combined weight of 461 lbs….the team of Steve Harrison and Cobi Fletcher!”

Michael Cole – “Ok well lets see if what they claim is actually true! This match is about to get underway.”

“The World’s Greatest Tag Team” Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas v Steve Harrison & Cobi Fletcher
A very short and decisive match as TWGTT cut off Fletcher from his opponent from the get go. Haas and Benjamin use many wear down holds and submissions whilst making tags to each other frequent and often in this show case outing.
Fletcher does attempt a comeback by throwing some weak punches at Haas in the breadbasket from his knees but Haas plants a knee to the side of Fletcher’s skull. Haas then pulls his opponent to the corner and makes the tag to Benjamin. Fletcher is lifted up throat first on the top rope as Haas is holding his legs. Shelton Benjamin bounces off the ropes and makes an impressive vertical leap over Haas’ head and lands square on the base of Cobi Fletcher’s spine!
The Referee reaches the count of 4 when Haas leaves the ring.
Benjamin sends Fletcher into the ropes and lands a T Bone suplex. Benjamin gets to his feet and begins to walk around looking impressed with his own work and then as nobody expects, Benjamin throws an elbow at Harrison in the corner, thus, knocking him off the apron.
Benjamin makes the tag and Haas enters applying a reverse waistlock. Benjamin comes off the rope and nails a big Dragon Spin Kick on Fletcher’s chin. In the same movement, Haas throws Fletcher over his head and hits the German Suplex for the 1. 2. 3.
Winners via pinfall, The World’s Greatest Tag Team

Matt Striker – “Now that was impressive! Haas and Benjamin didn’t even let Harrison get into the match. That was tag team wrestling 101 and…oh wait Charlie Haas wants to speak.”

Music cuts Charlie Haas reaches out and takes a microphone.

Charlie Haas – “This exhibition right here, is exactly the reason why Shelton Benjamin and I are known as The World’s Greatest Tag Team.”

Crowd boo. Benjamin looks around in disbelief that the fans are booing. Off the microphone he asks Hass, “Why? Why are they booing the best?” Haas shrugs his shoulders and tells Benjamin to forget them.

Matt Striker – “The fans of Miami are really getting on the backs of these two.”

Charlie Haas – “Show some damn respect!”

Crowds boos grow louder.

Charlie Haas – “Now, when General Manager Adamle told us about his plans for pumping a new lease of life into tag team wrestling, we jumped at the chance to get together to prove to the entire world how great we can be. General Manager Adamle has made us a promise to us that at ‘WrestleFest’ we will be part of a match up that will crown the very first GWA Tag Team Champions. And it will be right there, in that match, that we will prove that we are just what we say we are…….”

Benjamin takes the mic as the crowd boo.

Shelton Benjamin – “…and we are The World’s Greatest Tag Team and there aint….NO….stopping us…..NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!”

Music restarts as Benjamin and Haas ‘High 5’ and begin to walk away. As they step through the ropes their music is interrupted but the sound of machine guns and Shelley and Sabin walk out to the ramp and stare down TWGTT and point their fingers as guns towards them.

Michael Cole – “There’s the Motor City Machine Guns. What is their part in all of this? Do they have any say in how this tag team title scenario will go down?”

Matt Striker – “I don’t know, but what is clearly evident, is that Shelley and Sabin are here to make an impact and what better way to do it that to get up the noses of a rival team that claims to be “The World’s Greatest”?!”

Cut to the back with Todd Grisham who is with General Manager Mike Adamle.

Todd Grisham – “General Manager Adamle, you’ve set up this tournament to crown the GWA’s first ever World Heavyweight Champion. Many competitors have thrown their names into the hat already…and many more would love the opportunity to be part of this tournament. What will you do about the situation?”

Mike Adamle – Well despite the interruptions earlier on this evening, I do have to say, I’m impressed that so many people are ready to step up so quickly and show their interest in becoming this company’s first ever World Heavyweight Champion. You see Todd, whoever wins this prestigious tournament will not only become Champion…but they will become this company’s representative all around the globe! They will become the man who when fans see them, they will instantly think GWA! So with that in mind, I have decided to give those five eager men from earlier tonight….RVD (crowd cheer)….CM Punk (crowd boo)…Kane (crowd cheer)…Edge (crowd boo)…and John Cena (mixed reaction)…the first five brackets in the tournament in five weeks at WrestleFest.”

Crowd applaud.

Mike Adamle – “The three remaining spots will be determined by a series of qualifying matches in the next couple of weeks on “Prime Time Thursday Night”. Those qualifiers will begin right here in Miami, Florida tonight when ‘Captain Charisma’ Christian Cage will go one on one with Booker T. Now if you excuse me, I have work to get on with.”

Adamle walks off leaving Grisham alone as we fade to a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break and we are with Christy Hemme back stage.

Christy Hemme – “Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to introduce to you now a third generation wrestler here in the Global Wrestling Association….Ted DiBiase Jr.”

Ted DiBiase – “Thank you Christy. Standing in front of you now is a 6 foot 3 inch frame of 235 pound of pure God given talent! My Dad, Ted DiBiase Snr, was a legend in this business and he proved time and time again that everyman has a price. If I wanted to right now, I could simply buy a spot in this tournament and show the world that I have what it takes to go all the way and win the whole damn thing! But I am not my father. Sure, I will go on to be a future Hall of Famer like my Dad and sure I have the same skills and more than the ones that he used to become successful…but I refuse to buy anything here in GWA. General Manager Adamle, next week I am throwing my name into your qualifiers for this tournament and I will show you that when you signed that contract to bring me here you made a wise decision. You are getting a commodity that you simply cannot put a price on…because Ted DiBiase…is ‘Simply Priceless’.”

Back to the ring………

The Fink – “This match is scheduled for one fall and is a tag team attraction…..currently in the ring at a total combined weight of 525 lbs…”The F.B.I.”…..and their opponents………”

Music breaks out as Brian Kendrick and Paul London sprint to the ring, sliding under the bottom rope. Both men head to opposite corners and backflip into the ring.

The Fink – “Weighing in at a total combined weight of 385 lbs…Brian Kendrick and Paul London…"The Hooliganz”

‘The Hooliganz’ Brian Kendrick & Paul London v ‘The F.B.I.’ Johnny Stamboli & Chuck Palumbo
Palumbo and Stamboli are up in the faces of Kendrick and London before the bell and they look like all business tonight!
Kendrick and Palumbo start the match, and Palumbo instantly throws Kendrick into the corner. Palumbo then whips Kendrick into the opposite turnbuckles and charges in after him. Kendrick leap frogs and pulls out an armdrag…and a second…then as Palumbo aims to charge in once more Kendrick lands a drop kick and goes for a cover….1……2……Palumbo kicks out!
Kendrick applies an arm bar and goes to tag in London.
Both Kendrick and London send Palumbo in to the ropes with a double Irish whip…DOUBLE DROPKICK! Kendrick bounces of the ropes and drops an elbow….London follows up with a leg drop and a cover 1….2….another kick out.
Matt Striker – “Unbelievable speed on the high flying duo…can they keep this pace up?”
London then hits Palumbo with a couple of forearms and sends him into the ropes and hits a flying elbow smash…1….2….kick out.
London then goes to bounce of the ropes but Stamboli hits a kick to the back of the head, now giving his team the advantage. Palumbo now hits a few stomps to the back of the head and tags in Johnny ‘The Bull’!
Stamboli with some kicks of his own then a big body slam and cover…1……2…….London gets his shoulder up! Irishi whip by Stamboli now into the buckles and London folds up as he hits with hard impact. Stamboli taunts Kendrick then runs in on London with a clothesline crushing him in the corner. Palumbo tags in.
Palumbo hits London with a snap suplex and drops a big elbow and attempts a pinfall…only to get a 2 count. Palumbo calls to Stamboli to lift the boot and smashes London’s head into it before making the tag.
Stamboli gets in and hoists London up into a press slam…1…2…..kick out!
Stamboli applies a chin lock on London as the crowd start to clap and get behind London. London fights his way to his feet and escapes the chin lock and bounces off the ropes, but Stamboli hits another big boot to the face and goes for an immediate cover. 1…2……….KENDRICK WITH THE SAVE!
As Kendrick leaves the ring, Palumbo enters and ‘The F.B.I.’ attempt a double suplex, but Kendrick slips down the back side and hits a double dropkick of his own. Palumbo stumbles to the outside as the race for Kendrick to make the tag is on. Stamboli dives but just misses as Paul London gets the tag and spring boards himself into the ring bouncing off Stamboli’s back.
Palumbo rolls back into the ring but London hits him with a ‘Dropsault’ dropkick. Stamboli attacks London from behind and swings a clothesline….LONDON DUCKS…and springboards off the second rope with a cross body block….1…..2…..KICK OUT….THIS IS AN UNBELIEVABLE MATCH!
Kendrick in to help out London as ‘The Hooliganz’ Irish whip Stamboli into the ropes and hit a double back body drop. The referee is counting and Kendrick flips London backwards for an assisted moonsault….1…..2…….NO SHOULDER UP!!!
London then sees Palumbo getting to his feet outside the ring and hits a suicide dive to the floor to put him back down again!
Kendrick hits Stamboli with a couple of forearms but Stamboli tries another press slam. Kendrick sneaks down again and hits THE SLICED BREAD NUMBER 2!!! But he’s not the legal man! Paul London climbs to his feet and then to the top rope……….450 SPLASH!!!! 1…………..2……………….3!
Winners via pinfall, ‘The Hooliganz’

Matt Striker – “Now that was one impressive match up! Unbelievable skill and high flying aerial ability! Kendrick and London look like they have made an impact and could have an amazing career here in the GWA!”

Cut to the back where we see Todd Grisham with one half of tonight’s main event participants...Christian Cage.

Todd Grisham – “Christian Cage, tonight, General Manager Mike Adamle has added you to the qualifiers for the World Heavyweight Championship tournament at ‘WrestleFest’ in five weeks time. You’ll be going one on one with Booker T…your thoughts?”

Christian Cage – “Well T Grish, it’s real simple…tonight in front of all my Miami peeps……”

Crowd pop! Christian nods in approval.

“......Christian Cage, ‘Captain Charisma’, plans on going straight on through Booker T and qualifying for WrestleFest. Then once I am there………”

Christian looks up.

Christian Cage – “What do you want?”

The camera pans out and Edge comes into shot. Crowd boo!

Edge – “Hello Brother! You seem kinda confident tonight!
You seem to think you’re a shoe in for making it into this tournament don’t you? Next thing, you’ll be telling the world that you’re going to win the whole damn thing right?”

Christian Cage –
“Well ‘Bro…..that’s the plan.”

Edge – (laughing to himself) “Christian you do realise that even in your little dream world…this wont be easy! You do realise that don’t you? For either of us!”

Christian Cage – “Look Edge, what’s your point? You are boring us all here…cut to the chase?”

Edge – “Yeah like I give a……look! I’m here to make a proposal to you. I scratch your back and you scratch mine. I help you to qualify tonight and from there on in to the finals of that tournament in five weeks, we help each other get there unscathed and help each other get to the final. At least that way…the GWA World Heavyweight Championship…it will make its way to one of us. C’mon Christian, what do you say? Let’s do this!”

Christian Cage –
(laughs) “Edge you forget something…I know you. I know you better than anyone else on this planet! And I know that as soon as I scratch your back, you will stab mine in return!”

Crowd cheer.

“I don’t need your help tonight…I wont need your help at WrestleFest to win the belt…and after that…after I win the World Heavyweight Championship…I certainly wont need your help in defending it!”

Crowd give a monster pop.

“Christian Cage has his peeps, and that’s all he needs…because that’s how Christian Cage rolls!”

Christian walks off leaving Edge looking visibly frustrated at being snubbed.

Edge – “Yeah? We’ll soon see about that!”

‘WrestleFest’ PPV advert

Michael Cole – “There we have it…in five short weeks Matt, on April 11, we will have our first ever Pay Per View event here at the Global Wrestling Association. The first annual ‘WrestleFest’ will take place LIVE! from Maddison Square Garden, New York City, New York. It is here at the ‘Mecca’ of sports entertainment, we will crown the first ever GWA World Heavyweight Champion in an Eight Man Elimination Tournament! General Manager Adamle has already announced the first competitors for the tournament…’Mr Thursday Night’ Rob Van Dam…John Cena…’The Rated R Superstar’ Edge… ‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk...and ‘The Big Red Machine’ Kane. Over the coming weeks, we will see qualifiers to see which superstars will be added to the brackets in our quest to crown our inaugural World Heavyweight Champion.”

Matt Striker – “Also, earlier tonight, Charlie Haas announced that there would be some sort of a tag team match to crown the first ever GWA Tag Team Champions. Michael, this is starting to shape up into a history making evening!”

The Fink – “Ladies and Gentlemen, the following match up is scheduled for one fall….”

A loud gong goes off and generic Japanese music plays out…….

The Fink – “Making his way to the ring, weighing 220 pounds, from Gifu, Japan …’The Dragon’ Yoshi.”

Yoshi jogs his way to the ring as Cole and Striker continue to hype up the Pay Per View. Yoshi gets in to the ring and bows to The Fink and then to each side of the crowd.

The Fink – “…..and his opponent…..”

*SANTINOOOOOOOOOO*…..Italian Opera music plays out and that can only mean one thing…Santino Marella!

Santino walks down the ramp way all smiles and waving to the fans.

Matt Striker – “Here he is, ‘The Milan Miracle’…Santino Marella! Michael, did you know that Santino Marella has a background in Mixed Martial Arts?”

Michael Cole – “Is that so Matt? Maybe we will see him put some of his expertise to work tonight?” Hey Matt, I hear Santino has got a pretty hot twin sister too!”

Striker just lets a grunt go off the mic and smirks.

Santino makes it to ringside, takes a microphone and steps through the ropes.

Santino – “Ahhh greetings everyone! I, Santino Marella am heeere! And I tell of yous righta now, that I plan on simply walking througha all of ze competition here GWA on route to weening the GWA Heavyweight Champion-sheep! And that will all start with tonight’s opponent….Reeky ‘The Dragoon’ Steamboat!”

Crowd half laugh and half boo Santino’s antics.

Santino – “Now, Reeky……”

Before Marella can finish his sentence, Yoshi hits him in the temple with a roundhouse kick.

Santino Marella v ‘The Dragon’ Tatsu
Referee Mike Chioda rings the bell as Marella hits the floor hard and Yoshi hooks the leg for an easy 1, 2, 3!
Winner via pinfall, ‘The Dragon’ Yoshi

Michael Cole – “Wow Matt, this match is over! Yoshi used his initiative there and hit Santino with the first opening he got. That is impressive”

Yoshi then celebrates in the ring waving to the fans as Marella stumbles his way out of the arena.

Matt Striker – “Michael you’re right, that was impressive! ‘The Pearl of the Orient’…Yoshi has started his GWA career in the best possible way and is off the mark running! What I will say is that this young, energetic ‘Dragon’ will need to prove that he can go longer than five seconds in a match and still walk away with a tick in the ‘WIN’ column. Time will tell!”

Cut to the back as we see Booker T warming up and going through the final preparations for his match with Christian Cage.

Michael Cole – There’s Booker T and he looks as though he means business. He goes one on one with ‘Captain Charisma’ Christian Cage, right after this commercial break!”

Commercial Break

We come back from the break and it is MAIN EVENT TIME!

*GO!* Music blares out and it’s ‘Story of the Year’ with their song “Just Close Your Eyes”.

The Fink – “This match is scheduled for one fall and is a qualifier for the ‘WrestleFest’ World Heavyweight Championship tournament….”

Christian comes out to a massive ovation and struts his way to the ring beating his chest and pointing to the crowd on route.

The Fink – “Making his way to the ring, from Toronto, Ontario Canada, weighing in at 227 lbs….Christian Cage!”

Christian is on the turnbuckle looking out at all of his “Peeps”. He looks ready!

The Fink – “And his opponent……..”

*CAN YOU DIG IT??? SUCKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!*

The Fink – “From Houston, Texas…weighing in at 250 lbs……..BOOKER T!”

Booker T is in the ring as his ring corner pyro shoots off and we are about to get underway!

Michael Cole – “This is a main event match up with MASSIVE implications Matt…the winner will go on to have a chance at becoming the first ever World Heavyweight Champion here in GWA!

‘WrestleFest’ World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Qualifier
Booker T v Christian Cage

Both men approach each other in the ring and begin to bicker with each other. Cage pushes Booker, Booker retaliates with a slap and Cage slaps on a side headlock. Booker sends Christian into the ropes and hits a shoulder block. Booker T runs into the ropes and Christian rolls on to his front. Booker T with the skip over Christian, and Christian gets back to his feet and leap frogs over Booker. Booker off the opposite ropes…Christian hits a hip toss but misses an elbow drop and both men are back to their feet facing off.
There’s more bitching between the two men before Booker hits a big right hand to stun Christian, but he returns with a hammerlock. Booker then connects with an elbow to Christian’s face and he follows up with numerous chops and punches before hitting a suplex and getting a 2 count.
Booker then throws Christian to the outside and follows him to the outside and sends Christian in to the ring steps.
Booker rolls back into the ring!

Michael Cole – “Booker T is looking mightily impressive tonight. Can he continue this momentum and qualify for the World Heavyweight Championship tournament at ‘WrestleFest’? Find out after our final commercial break!”

Fade out to commercials

We return and Booker T allows Christian Cage to beat the 10 count and met with a bodyslam….1…..2…..Cage is up! KICK OUT!

Booker begins to get impatient and stomps away on Christian and mounts him landing heavy blows down!
Booker T gets up on command from the referee and parades around showboating to the fans.
As Booker approaches Christian once more, Christian attempts a come back with a number of punches…but Booker ducks the final punch and nails a jumping heel kick. ONE……..TWO………KICK OUT!
Booker immediately applies a front face lock on the ground…..but Christian fights his way back to his feet and hits Booker with an inverted atomic drop! Christian then hits a sideslam and goes for the cover but only gets a 2 count. Christian and Booker both get up but Christian manages a sneaky roll up…1….2……Booker kicks out!
Christian is up and measuring up Booker….as Booker gets to his feet, Christian attacks from the ropes…but Booker lands a kick to the abdomen…AXE KICK!!!
Michael Cole – “Why on earth is Booker T not going for the cover??? This is mad! He could be going to WrestleFest right now if he’d gone for the cover!”

Matt Striker – “Oh here we go! Here’s why Michael Cole…SPIN-A-ROONIE!!!”

Booker T hits the ground and spins with the spin-a-roonie back up to his knee when all of a sudden………..

*YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME!*…..it’s Edge!

Booker T looks on at the ramp way as Edge is just standing there arms folded and grinning!
Cage sneaks up behind Booker and rolls him quickly……..1…………..2…………..3! That’s it, Christian Cage qualifies!
Winner via pinfall, Christian Cage.

Booker T protests to the referee and is looking both stunned and upset at himself for getting distracted.

Cage looks on at Edge, not really understanding what happened and why it happened.

Edge merely looks on grinning!

Live! from American Airlines Arena', Miami, FL

18th March 2010
New Orleans Arena
New Orleans, Louisiana

We see a recap of the opening show and the ending with Triple H being crowned WEW Champion but Chris Jericho spoiling the party.

The opening video plays and fireworks go off around the arena as WEW ‘Thursday Night Warfare’ comes live from New Orleans.

Mike Tenay and The King welcome us to the show and state that Chris Jericho and Triple H are in the house and tonight we crown our very first World Elite Wrestling North American Champion and Tag Team Champions.

We see both belts on display in a glass case by the entrance.

1st Match
North American Championship Qualifying bout
Matt Morgan v Cody Rhodes

Mike Tenay informs us as Morgan makes his entrance that there will be four matches tonight with the winners facing each other in a fatal four way later tonight to crown the first North American Champion.

Finish: Like last week Matt Morgan makes quick work of his opponent hitting the Carbon Footprint for the 3 count.

Morgan leaves the ring having qualified for the fatal four way later tonight.

Commercial Break

In HBK’s office Josh Mathews asks HBK opinion on the closing moments from last week. He says it ruined the night for Triple H and he’s looking for revenge. We will hear from the champ tonight. HBK then tells Mathews to go fetch him Kaz and Bourne as he needs to speak to them right away.

2nd Match
North American Championship Qualifying match
Eric Escobar v Hernandez

Finish: Hernandez controls the whole match and finishes it off quickly with the border toss to qualify for the fatal four way.

Commercial Break

Josh Mathews is with Randy Orton. Before Matthews can finish his question Orton tells him to shut it. Orton tells us Kingston got in his way last week and cost him the WEW World Championship. Tonight he wants revenge! Tonight Kingston will pay!

Bourne and Kaz walk into HBK office. HBK says that last week they had a good match and seemed to have mutual respect for each other. Bourne and Kaz nod, so he tells them that tonight he’s put them in the Tag Team Championship bout as a team and made that match a four-way elimination bout. Kaz and Bourne seem happy. But Cody Rhodes barges in. He says that it was unfair of him facing a guy like Morgan. He deserves better just because he’s the son of the American Dream! HBK says he’s wrong and he must fight any guy any size so next week Cody Rhodes will fight Matt Morgan again. Cody looks annoyed as Kaz and Bourne discuss tactics

3rd Match
North American Championship Qualifying Match
Eric Young v Kofi Kingston

Finish: Kingston hits a spinning heel kick and covers for the 2 count, Kingston waits to hit the trouble in paradise but Young moves, Young then puts on a boston crab. Kingston tries to reach for the ropes and manages to. Young complains to the ref and turns around straight into the Trouble in Paradise from Kingston. He then covers Young for the 3.

After the match Kingston walks past the North American title looking at it and smiling to the crowd but Orton comes out of now where and attacks him. Orton beats on him on the top of the ramp and delivers an RKO on the stage. Orton stares at Kingston before leaving him down and hurt.

Commercial Break

We come back to see EMT checking on Kingston. King questions weather Kingston will be fit enough to be in the fatal four way.

Matt Morgan tells Josh Matthews that he will win the North American Championship later tonight.

4th Match
North American Championship Qualifying Match
Dolph Ziggler v John Morrison

Finish: Ziggler is in control and looks to finish off Morrison when Morrison rolls up Ziggler to get a close 2 count. Ziggler charges at Morrison but Morriston hit a drop toe hold into the ropes and then hit a backwards ddt straight afterwards. Morrison climbs the top rope and hits the Star ship Pain to pick up victory.

Mike Tenay says that our Fatal Four way is set, Matt Morgan v John Morrison v Hernandez v Kofi Kingston to crown the first ever North American Champion. King says if Kofi Kingston can compete after Randy Ortons attack earlier on.

Commercial Break

We see EMT still working on Kofi Kingston

In the back Jack Swagger moans to Josh Matthews about not being included in the North American Championship Tournament.

Triple H is music hits the arena as the crowd go wild for him. He grabs a mic as he enters the ring and tells everyone a certain man ruined last week’s events for him. He beat Randy Orton to become the first ever WEW World Champion but Chris Jericho spoiled the party. Triple H then calls out Chris Jericho because he knows he’s in the arena. Chris Jericho’s music plays to a chorus of boos. Jericho says that he wasn’t even considered to be in the title match last week and that hurt, The fans never even bothered to ask where I was until I came out last week and made an impact. Fans boo him as Jericho continues to talk about being over looked and how he should be the champion and he wants a match for the WEW World Championship so he can prove he is the greatest wrestler alive today. He then lets Triple H now that he can’t stand him. Triple H says that if he wants a shot at the title he will gladly give him one right here tonight! Jericho laughs as the crowd go wild thinking about a World Championship bout tonight. Jericho says that he doesn’t want one tonight. Last week was a crowning moment that will last forever in the WEW history book and he wants to make even more history that will never be forgotten. He challenges Triple H to put the title on the line at the very first World Elite Wrestling Pay Per View where ever that may be. Triple H says that he accepts and says it wont be Jericho making history it will be him for ending Chris Jericho’s career. Jericho smiles as Triple H points at him.

Commercial Break

5th Match
WEW Tag Team Championship Match
Four Way Elimination Match
The British Invasion w/ Big Rob Terry v The Colons v Evan Bourne and Kaz v The French Connection.

French Connection come down first. Sylvain Grenier and Rene Dupree wave their French flags. They cut a promo in French stating their leaving with the tag team titles tonight.

Finish: Bourne and Kaz work well together and have the Colons eliminated when Bourne hits Air Bourne on Primo only for Big Rob to pull out Bourne and throw him into the crowd. Terry then passes a set a brass nucks to Magnus. He then hits Kaz with the brass nucks behind the refs back and covers him for the 3 to eliminate Bourne and Kaz. Crowd boo as Magnus celebrates only for Carlito to hit him with the backstabber and covers him for the 3. British Invasion has been eliminated. The Invasion leave ringside unhappy having been eliminated. French Connection and Colons have a stare down and after some back and fourth fighting Carlito hits the Backstabber on Grenier. Eric Young comes down and jumps up on the apron and distracts the ref as Dupree picks up the French flag and breaks it over the head of Carlito and pins him as Young gets off the apron and the ref turns around to count the 3.

French Connection holds the tag titles high in the air as Young celebrates with the French Connection.

Commercial Break

We see recap of Randy Orton hitting the RKO on Kofi Kingston earlier.

In the back we see French Connection and Eric Young celebrating their tag team title win.

6th Match

John Morrison v Matt Morgan v Hernandez v Kofi Kingston

In the back before the match EMT tells Kingston not to fight but he leaves them to head to the ring.

Finish: Kingston makes his way down to the ring as the match starts, Kingston doesn’t look right but gets in the ring anyway to a massive cheer. Morgan starts to dominate and but Morrison dropkicks him to the outside. He and Hernandez start fighting on the outside whilst Morrison looks to hit the star ship pain on Kingston but Kingston rolls out of the way. Kingston hits a drop kick and then the boom drop. He covers but the ref is too busy trying to sort out the mess with Morgan and Hernandez on the outside who are fighting by the time keeper. Randy Orton sneaks in the ring with a chair and goes to hit Kingston but Kingston ducks and then delivers a Trouble in Paradise to Orton sending him to the outside. Morrison then rolls up Kingston as the ref comes back in but Kingston kicks out at 2. Kingston then hits the Trouble on Paradise on Morrison and covers for the win.

Kofi heads up the ramp holding his head and ribs as he holds the North American Championship high in the air as Orton seethes from the ring.

Interesting concept you have here. But I gotta say right off the GWA show is a thousand times better. I haven't had time to read through both to give a good review yet but I like the written out interviews and the over all lay out. With the other show I feel like I'm reading the box scores in the morning paper. So for the thread to really work IMO both shows need to be written at close to the same level and style. Its a good idea though Ill finish reading the shows when I get time at work and try and start reviewing soon.

Live! from the Time Warner Cable Stadium, Charlotte, North Carolina

*Fireworks shoot off all around the arena as we head straight down to ringside and our ring announcer…’The Fink’ Howard Finkel.*

‘The Fink’ – “Ladies and Gentlemen, this match is scheduled for one fall…”

*Killswitch Engage blares out and out comes ‘The Second City Saint’, CM Punk, to a chorus of boos*

‘The Fink’ – “…making his way to the ring, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 222 pounds…’The Second City Saint’ C…M…Punk!”

Michael Cole – “Welcome everyone to the home of the Charlotte Bobcats! The Time Warner Cable Stadium tonight plays host to the second ever weekly episode of Global Wrestling Association’s “Prime Time Thursday Night”. I’m your host Michael Cole and I’m here once again with ‘Your Teacher’…Matt Striker.”

Matt Striker – “Here we are once again indeed, and we are starting out with the ‘Modern Day Messiah’…the ‘Pastor of Purity’…CM Punk! You know Michael, Punk tells me that he’s not a violent man deep down…but he is willing to beat some sense into those who refuse to follow him and his “Straight Edge” lifestyle, and that starts tonight with Brad Dorset.”

Punk is in the ring and is ready for action.

‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk v Brad Dorset
Punk takes an early advantage and goes straight for Dorset’s shoulder and left arm. Punk applies an arm bar and takes Dorset down to the mat, driving his knee down hard into his opponent’s tricep. Dorset looks in a lot of discomfort as Punk slaps him around the back of the head mocking him. Punk then allows Dorset to his feet but still holds the arm…and ooooh….Punk swings a boot the face of Dorset with a vicious mule kick!!! The crowd really didn’t like that and are getting on Punk’s case, as Punk looks self satisfied goading the crowd into jeering him more.
Dorset is Irish whipped into the ropes and CM Punk catches him and one swift swing, nails a picture perfect tilt-a-whirl backbreaker! In the blink of an eye, Punk is back down and refocusing on the left arm of Brad Dorset.
Matt Striker – “Wow, Punk is just not letting up here tonight!”
Dorset manages to pull himself to the ropes and the referee starts the five count….1….2….3….4….Punk breaks.
Punk lifts a clearly in pain Dorset up off the mat, and sends him hard into the turnbuckle and begins to bend his arm over the top rope. Dorset screams in pain as the referee begins another five count. Punk is landing headbutt after headbutt onto the left arm as the referee reaches the four count. Punk backs up only to move back in on Dorset into the opposite corner…BIG RUNNING HIGH KNEE TO JAW FROM PUNK!!! BULLDOG FOLLOW UP FROM PUNK and my God does Punk look happy with his work. Punk begins to stomp violently onto Brad Dorset’s left arm and the referee makes him back up.
Punk shakes his head in disapproval and steps past the referee to pick up Dorset.
Michael Cole – “It looks like it’s time for CM Punk to put Brad Dorset out of his misery.”
Punk throws Dorset up on to his shoulders…GTS!!! He drives his knee straight into Dorset’s face and then follows him up straight away and applies the ‘Anaconda Vice’. Dorset screams and wastes no time in tapping out to end his torment.
Winner via submission, ‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk

‘The Fink’ – “Here is your winner…C…M…Punk!”

CM Punk calls for the microphone. The crowd boo as Punk begins to speak.

CM Punk – “Fans…fans…please…fans rejoice…for YOUR saviour is here!”

Punk smiles with his eyes closed and arms out stretched embracing the hatred that seems to be aimed at his general direction.

CM Punk – “I told all of you last week that I am willing to be your saviour and a role model to you all. Yet none of you…not a single one of your troubled and tormented souls has come forward and said ‘I accept…I accept you CM Punk and believe that you are the person who will lead me back into the light and onto the path of righteousness’. Are you sheep so blind that you all cannot see that I am trying to help you?”

Crowd boo louder.

CM Punk – “I will guide you all away from your daily vices of cigarettes, alcohol, and prescription drugs and take you to a lifestyle where you can hold your head up high and be proud of the person that you are.”

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

CM Punk – “Very well…have it your way…take a look at this man lying here! He had his chance, and look what has happened! The same thing will happen to all of you and to all those who refuse to follow my “Straight Edge” lifestyle and those who choose to oppose it, because “Straight Edge” means I am better that all of you…and I will prove it!”

Punk is about to leave the ring when...

*One of a Kind*

and the crowd roar with delight as Rob Van Dam makes his way out seemingly ending CM Punk’s rant!

RVD – “Whoa…Punk, hold up! I don’t know what you seem to be tripping on here, but you need to back up a little!”

CM Punk – “NO Van Dam! You back up! Unlike you, I don’t trip out on anything!”

RVD just smirks.

RVD – “Yeah dude, whatever, listen, I don’t know what makes you think that you have this God given right to go all this way in this tournament…what, so you don’t drink? You don’t smoke? Is that it? Get a grip of yourself! It’s not about what your lifestyle may or may not be outside of the ring…but it’s about what you can do between those very ropes and everybody knows that there’s nobody else out there who can put on a “5 Star” show quite like ‘Mr. Thursday Night’ Rob…Van…Dam!”

The crowd burst out into a loud RVD chant. Punk just chuckles to himself in the ring.

CM Punk – “Oh Robert. Robert, Robert, Robert. You misguided fool! You are one of…if not THE worst offender on the roster! How dare you interrupt me and lecture me on anything! You are no better than the parasites we see on a daily basis, begging on street corners for money for their next fix! It’s not even right that you are being given an opportunity to wrestle for the GWA World Heavyweight Championship. Come to think of it Robert, I’ve got an idea. Why don’t I go to General Manager Mike Adamle tonight, and request that in the first round of the tournament, he makes the match up of CM Punk going one on one with Rob Van Dam?”

Crowd pop.

CM Punk – “What you say Robert? Are you willing to go head to head with the ‘Pastor of Purity’ and be humiliated as I show you and the entire GWA fan base just how much “better” being “Straight Edge” makes me?”

Crowd break out into another RVD chant!

RVD – “Dude….why wait?!”

RVD runs down the ramp as Punk leaps off of the apron and both men begin brawling as security pile out from the back to try and separate both men in their violent brawl.

Michael Cole –
“Good Lord…what an explosive start to the evening…and we’re only just getting started!”

Matt Striker –
“Indeed we are Michael, and if this anything to go by…the rest of the night should be something else!”

Cameras show Van Dam calming down as security surround him and Punk being ushered to the back.

Michael Cole – “Now, last week during the Christian Cage and Booker T qualifying match for the GWA World Heavyweight Championship tournament, Edge came out and proved to be a distraction to Booker T and “helping” his brother Christian qualify for ‘WrestleFest’. This week Booker T wants revenge on Edge as they will go one on one in our main event.”

Matt Striker –
“Also this week we will see ‘Simply Priceless’ Ted DiBiase go head to head with the ‘M.V.P.’ of “Thursday Night Prime Time”…’The Franchise Playa’ Montel Porter.”

Michael Cole – “Add all this to General Manager Mike Adamle having a big announcement for us tonight…Matt, this is building up to be a bigger night than last weeks show! We’ll be right back after this commercial break.”

Commercial Break

We return from the break with the team of ‘The Freebird’ Jesse Gordy and ‘The Outlaw’ Trevor Murdoch in the ring awaiting their opponents.

‘The Fink’ – “This is a tag team contest scheduled for one fall. Currently in the ring at the total combined weight of 455 pounds…the team of ’The Freebird’ Jesse Gordy and ‘The Outlaw’ Trevor Murdoch.”

The crowds boos soon to turn to cheers as “Live for the Moment” by Monster Magnet plays out and The OMEGA Boyz enter the arena.

‘The Fink’ – “And their opponents, at a total combined weight of 393 pounds…Shannon Moore and Shane Helms…’The OMEGA Boyz’”

Michael Cole – “These two men, along with Matt Hardy, have said that they are here in the GWA for a reason…they want to prove to the world that they can make the grade in pro wrestling. Personally Matt, I don’t see what these men have got to prove…all three of them have had success in the past…all three men are highly skilled superstars!”

Matt Striker – “The problem I believe these guys have is that they need to prove to themselves that they belong. Matt Hardy could be a main event waiting to happen and he needs to prove to himself and any of his doubters that he can do it! The same goes for Helms and Moore. They are amazing, amazing athletes and should have won more gold and accolades between them, but for one reason or another, they’ve never quite made it. Tonight is the night that they go out here and begin their journeys in proving they can hang with the big boys and as they put it themselves, “smash through the glass ceiling”!”

‘The OMEGA Boyz’ v ‘The Freebird’ Jesse Gordy and ‘The Outlaw’ Trevor Murdoch
Moore makes a beeline straight for Murdoch and dropkicks him through the middle rope hitting the floor hard. Helms goes at Gordy with forearms in the corner and hits a very quick snap suplex and follows up with an elbow drop. Cover…1…2…Gordy with a quick kick out. Helms tags Moore in.
Shannon Moore comes straight over to Gordy and whips him into the ropes…double hiptoss from Moore and Helms...Helms follows up with another elbow to the sternum and Moore hits a standing leg drop…1…2…shoulder comes up again. Gordy manages to make a quick roll away to his corner and get a tag out. Murdoch steps in the ring.
Michael Cole – “These two men are like lightening and they don’t look like they are going to slow down for one second.”
Moore begins to clap his hands together to get the crowd going and we get a collar and elbow tie up from both men! Murcoch sneaks in a knee to the bread basket and sends Moore into the ropes…Moore leap frogs Murdoch and Helms catches a sneaky tag. Helms ducks a clothesline and as Murdoch turns his back Helms dropkicks him in the back and as he stumbles forward, Moore hits a running ‘Inzuigiri’. Murdoch drops down to his knees and no Helms bounces of the opposite ropes and hits the ‘Shining Wizard’ kick. Goes for a cover…1…2…Murdoch is up.
Helms tags Moore back in they hit a double body slam on ‘The Outlaw’. Helms is crouched now in a neutral corner waiting for his opponent to stumble to his feet…and he hits a big superkick. Quick tag back into Moore…he climbing to the top rope…MOONSAULT!!!
Matt Striker – “These two bright superstars are on fire tonight. They remind me of ‘The Rockers’ or ‘Rock and Roll Express’ of the millennium…and we know about the success that those teams had! Tag team specialists Michael!”
Moore with a cover…1…2….Kick out!
Michael Cole – “Gordy is looking very frustrated on the apron screaming at Murdoch to get up…in his defence though, I don’t think Murdoch even knows which side of the arena he is facing…he’s been run ragged here at such a high pace.”
Moore drags a dizzy Murdoch over to the corner and tags Helms in again. Murdoch is placed up onto the top turnbuckle by both men and Moore follows him whilst Helms runs over to the opposition corner and knocks Gordy off of the apron. He then climbs the turnbuckle…MOORE WITH A HURRICANRANA OFF THE TOP ROPE…MURDOCH IS DOWN…HELMS WITH A MOONSAULT!!! Cover…1…2…Murdoch is up last split second. The crowd really seem into this match and look visibly impressed with Moore and Helms.
Helms roars out to the crowd and tags Moore in once more…Helms grabs Murdoch in a face lock…’NIGHTMARE ON HELMS STREET’!!! Moore follows that up with the ‘HALO’ corkscrew senton! Gordy tries to pull himself up into the ring but Helms dives through the ropes and stops him! Moore hooks the leg back in the ring…1…2…3!
Winners via pinfall, ‘The OMEGA Boyz’

‘The Fink’ – “Here are your winners…’The OMEGA Boyz’!”

Matt Striker – “What an outstanding performance there tonight from the ‘The OMEGA Boyz’. They said that they were here to prove all the doubters wrong and they have made a very impressive start here tonight.”

Michael Cole – “Indeed they have Matt, it’s the exact response that they have been looking to give everyone. As a tag team, these guys have the potential to show up the rest of the tag team roster! Now lets head to the back and join Todd Grisham with GWA newcomer…’The Pope’ Elijah Burke.”

Todd Grisham – “Todd Grisham here with another debutant to GWA tonight...'The Pope' Elijah...”

Elijah Burke – “Hold up, hold up, hold up! You see it makes no difference if the ‘The Pope’ is making His debut tonight or if he's involved in his 100th match in the GWA...the purpose of His being here is all the same...’The Pope’ is here to make a statement. Now I understand a lot of people around this organisation have probably said the same thing but the truth is, ‘The Pope’ is the one who will carry through on all of the promises that he makes whether they be small ones like...’The Pope’ promises to slap you “4up” any second now if you don't hold that mic steady...or a big promise such as by the time the final bell rings in ‘The Popes’ match tonight, you will all see exactly what ‘The Pope’ is talking about! Now excuse me ‘The Pope’ has spoken!”

‘The Pope’, Elijah Burke’s music has started and out he comes walking down the aisle way through a cascade of $100 bills raining from the skies.

Michael Cole – “Wow, what and entrance!”

‘The Fink’ – “This match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from the streets of Harlem, New York, weighing 230 pounds…’The Pope’ Elijah Burke.”

Crowd have taken an instant dislike to Burke.

‘The Fink’ – “His opponent, weighing 210 pounds, from Seattle, Washington…Felix Storm.”

Storm waves as crown give a little cheer.

‘The Pope’ Elijah Burke v Felix Storm

'The Pope' circles Felix Storm and as they move in for a collar and elbow tie up...Burke hits a quick one, two jab combo. Storm looks shaken as Burke laughs at how easy this match looks like it could be!
Both men circle again and the result is the same as they go to lock up once more! Burke just laughs again and offers Storm the chance to walk away now. Storm shakes his head and for a third time they attempt a lock up...this time Burke slaps on a reverse waistlock and takes Storm down. Now Burke begins his attack, firstly with backhand slaps to his opponents head then knees to the lower back.
Burke sends Storm into the ropes and hits a flying forearm smash. 1...2...Storm kicks out!
Burke now continues his offence and this match soon becomes a total walkover for Burke.
'The Pope' decides enough is enough when he sends Felix Storm chest first into the turnbuckle and pulls his kneepads down. Burke, now runs in at full steam ahead and plants two big knees into Storm's spine. As he stumbles backwards, Burke plants his opponent back into the mat with an 'STO' and makes the cover for an easy 1...2...3!
Winner via pinfall, ‘The Pope’ Elijah Burke

Matt Striker – “Elijah Burke…’The Pope’ here in the GWA…is one impressive performer. ‘The Pope’ could well be a big mover and shaker here!”

Fade to commercial break

A Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger video package plays out with the words NEXT WEEK on it.

We return to the ring and ‘The Fink’ is ready to introduce to us the next match….

‘The Fink’ – “The following contest a qualifying match for the ‘WrestleFest’ World Heavyweight Championship tournament, and is scheduled for one fall!”

*Ooooh I’m Priceless*

Ted DiBiase makes his way out to a chorus of boos and looks focused on the task at hand.

‘The Fink’ – “Making his way to the ring, from West Palm Beach, Florida, weighing in at 235 pounds…’Simply Priceless’ Ted DiBiase.”

Matt Striker – “Ted DiBiase is a third generation superstar folks, and if the previous generations of DiBiase’s is anything to go by…we are all in for a treat!”

Michael Cole – “He certainly looks an impressive specimen and that drive that he has within himself, the drive to be better than his father Ted Senior, than his grandparents ‘Iron’ Mike DiBiase and Helen Hilde, should propel him to great things.”

Matt Striker – “Hang on one second, I’m just getting word that Christy Hemme is backstage right now with DiBiase’s opponent for tonight, Montel Porter.”

Christy Hemme – “Montel Porter, tonight you’re in a qualifying match for the ‘WrestleFest’ World Heavyweight Championship tournament against ‘Simply Priceless’ Ted DiBiase. What are your thoughts?”

Montel Porter – “Miss Hemme, you see right now you are talking to the Most Valued Performer on the GWA roster! 'The Prime Time Playa'…‘The Franchise Playa’…is on a mission Christy. And that mission is to add to the gold that drips from my neck and the gold that adorns my knuckles, by wrapping 15 pounds of gold around my waist. When Montel Porter is around BIG things are poppin' and little things are stoppin'! DiBiase, you call yourself "Priceless"...you're more "Worthless" in my eyes! You are "a little thing" and you will be stopped tonight.”

DiBiase is in the ring looking up at the Mega Tron, watching Porter backstage.

Matt Striker – “Big words there, can Montel Porter back them up?”

*I’M COMING!* Montel Porter comes out to a big pop and ‘High 5s’ his way to the ring with the fans!

‘The Fink’ – “And his opponent…from Miami, Florida, weighing in at 259 pounds, ‘The Franchise Playa’…Mon…tel….Porter!”

‘The Franchise Playa’ Montell Porter v ‘Simply Priceless’ Ted DiBiase
Both men seem cautious locking up with each other, but it’s Porter who gets the upper hand and starts to toy with DiBiase with some chain wrestling.
Michael Cole – “Well the man who claims he is ‘Simply Priceless’ is starting off very slowly here and Porter is certainly showing us some impressive wrestling skills here.”
Matt Striker – “Well Montel Porter isn’t calling himself ‘The Franchise Playa’ for nothing! He’s got some strong claims to back up!”
Porter continues to frustrate DiBiase with his move set and tries to throw in a sneaky finisher with his ‘Play Maker’ Overdrive...but DiBiase rolls to the outside for a break.
As Porter’s momentum has been disrupted, DiBiase manages to takeover now with his own move set, which looks distinctly familiar from his father before him.
Michael Cole – “Good Lord Matt, it’s just like watching Ted’s father, ‘The Million Dollar Man’ there in the ring!”
Matt Striker – “Well DiBiase Junior here has promised to go one better than his father and go on to win the World Heavyweight Championship!”
DiBiase circles and taunts Porter inbetween slams and suplexes delivered with venom and force.
The crowd are now slowly starting to clamp and stomp their feet in the hope that Porter will gain momentum of his own again but it’s DiBiase who hits a belly to back suplex and after a couple of fist drops, DiBiase climbs to the second rope...he’s not looking at his target and attempts a backwards falling elbow drop...Porter moves!
The referee begins his 10 count...will either man get to his feet...1...2...3...4...5...6...Porter is up and measuring up DiBiase as he pulls himself up to the turnbuckle...THERE’S ‘THE DRIVE BY’ BOOT! DiBiase looks stunned and drops to the floor. Porter off the ropes now...does his little shuffle up to DiBiase’s body...”BALLING”...and drops the elbow! 1...2...DiBiase has a foot on the ropes! The referee breaks the pin and pushes Porter back away.
Michael Cole – “What the Hell is DiBiase doing? He’s reaching into his trunks!”
DiBiase reaches into his trunks and pulls out some brass knuckles...Porter comes over and tries to pull DiBiase up but he jacks his jaw with the fist with the brass knuckles on...and the referee’s vision is blocked! DiBiase disposes of the weapon and pulls a limp Porter to his feet and slaps on the ‘Million Dollar Dream’...and with that he hoists Porter up in the air and nails ‘Dream Street’ for the 1...2...3!
Winner via pinfall, ‘Simply Priceless’ Ted DiBiase

Matt Striker – “There you have it, Ted DiBiase, the third generation superstar has made it to ‘WrestleFest’!”

Michael Cole – “I don’t know whether to call that an upset or not….DiBiase certainly turned the match on its head right at the end there but the way in which he did it was absolutely disgusting!!! Porter looked to be in control until that DiBiase reached into his tights…how did the referee Mike Chioda not see that?? Nevertheless…‘Simply Priceless’ Ted DiBiase advances on to ‘WrestleFest’.”

Backstage we see General Manager Mike Adamle in his office and we hear a knock on the door.

Mike Adamle – “Come in.”

In walks Matt Hardy.

Matt Hardy – “Hey Mr. Adamle.”

Mike Adamle – “Hey Matt come on in, good to see you!”

Adamle and Hardy shake hands.

Matt Hardy –
“You too sir.”

Mike Adamle – “How can I help?”

Matt Hardy – “Well sir, like I said last week, Shannon, Shane and myself...we're here to grab the bull by the horns so to speak. We're here to make a difference to our careers and break through glass ceiling that all our doubters have said we will never smash through.”

Mike Adamle – “Uh huh good, it’s good to see such enthusiasm and confidence.”

Matt Hardy – “Yes exactly...now please hear me out. I think you'll agree that Shannon and Shane put on an impressive display tonight and if rumours are true of some sort of tag team title match at the Pay-Per-View, surely they've staked a big claim to be involved...now, I am at a loose end and as I said, I aim to smash through that glass ceiling and what better way than starting next week, you enter me into a qualifying match for the GWA World Heavyweight Championship tournament?”

Mike Adamle – “Well Matt it does sound good...but not next week...you see next week I have other plans and I would like you to be part of them. I'll be making an announcement on that a little later on...but in the mean time, how about I make you a promise that in two weeks, you can have your qualifying match then? Sound good to you?”

Matt Hardy – “Mr. Adamle, that sounds excellent...thank you very much sir.”

Hardy shakes Adamle by the hand once again and turns to leave.

Matt Hardy – “Oh and I look forward to your announcement later!”

Fade to commercial break

The camera pans out around the crowd on the return from the break, and then….

*YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME*

The crowd go wild with boos and jeers as Edge, ‘The Rated R Superstar’ emerges from the back in his wrestling gear and tshirt.

Michael Cole – “Oh what does Edge want now? He’s not scheduled to appear until later tonight!”

Matt Striker – “Well if you’d shut up for two minutes maybe we’d find out.”

Edge is in the ring waiting for the crowd to quieten down a bit.

Edge – “In four weeks time the GWA will crown its very first World Heavyweight Champion! An event that everyone will certainly want to mark down in the annals of wrestling folklore...something that will be remembered by everyone for decades to come! It will be a moment that the entire world will bare witness to the crowning of the man who will drive this organisation forwards into the future...and ladies and gentlemen believe me...it is my intention that that man IS going to be...ME!!!”

Crowd don’t like the sound of this at all and are very vocal with their opinions.

Edge – “It doesn't matter to me who stands in my way...I will spear my way through them all and show no remorse for my actions when I do so…with the exception of one person!
Now last week when my brother Christian told me he didn't want my help. At first I was a little hurt by it. But now I’ve had a chance to think about it…it's fine...I have total faith in his ability. I was merely there to observe his match and look on proudly as an older brother should! I wanted to see Christian take his first steps in the tournament so that when he does make it to the final on the night, he will come up and face me there. And when that happens, it will be the proudest moment in Momma Edge's life...her two little boys dukeing it out to see who will reign supreme. There’ll be no pulling fast ones...no feet on ropes no hands on tights...just good old fashioned scientific wrestling! And...

*YOU CANT SEE ME, MY TIME IS NOW* IT’S JOHN CENA!!! And the crowd are once again split in their in their support for the ‘Cenation’.

Cena walks down to the ring with purpose. He’s looking like he means business tonight and it looks like Edge is going to feel the brunt of a John Cena verbal onslaught!

John Cena – “Man do you talk a load of B.S.! Do you really expect me to believe your "sincerity" here? Do u expect these people in attendance here in Charlotte, North Cakalake tonight to believe that you aren't in this just for what you think you may gain? Do you actually think that Christian doesn't know that you’re ready to stab him in the back the first opportunity you get? Edge you fail to realise that there will be another seven men in this tournament all just as hungry if not more so than you for that belt! That's your first mistake.”

A small portion of the crowd begin to chant “Cena, Cena, Cena!”. Others still boo! Edge attempts to start talking but Cena cuts him off.

John Cena – “Your second mistake...is gonna be if you open that exceptionally large mouth of yours again! Because...Edge look at me now, I’m being dead serious here...I will fill it for you!”

The crowd pop for this…even the people who don’t like Cena seem to cheer.

John Cena – “Edge these people here in Charlotte, they see you just the same as I do...a bare faced liar!”

Crowd pop again and start a “Liar” chant.
Edge gets worked up

Edge – “No John the only one around here that's a liar is you! You lie to yourself week in and week out. You pander to the very people each week who boo and jeer you in return! You’re pathetic! Take a look at yourself! You dress like an oversized ten year old! Why? Why John? To sell a couple of wristbands to some little chump and his Mom? Newsflash...the chump is too young to know better! And when he grows up he'll boo you just the same as every other nomark in this arena who's opinion means Jack! 'Mom' only likes you because you're cute and you keep her kid quiet for 5 minutes!”

Crowd give off a mixed reaction.

Edge – “So Vanilla tell me...who's lying now?!”

Cena looks at Edge smiling

John Cena – Well Edge, I did tell you if you opened that mouth of yours again I'd fill it for you...that was no lie!”

Cena opens up with rights to Edge and whips him into the ropes...BACKDROP! As Edge gets to his feet, Cena goes for the ‘Attitude Adjustment’…Edge slips down and bails out as Cena pleads with him to get back into the ring but he backs up the ramp...only for Booker T to blindside him. Booker with rights and lefts of his own and hits a jumping side kick. Booker then throws Edge back into Cena who lands an ‘Attitude Adjustment’. As Edge drags himself up Booker T follows with an axe kick and just stares down at Edge.

Booker T – “Later Sucka! Later!”

Matt Striker – “Booker T came out then with furious vengeance...there was no need for it Cole! He’ll get his chance at retribution later tonight and then he goes and does something like this! Bad form I say!”

Michael Cole – “Bad form you say? Matt, Edge cost Booker a chance at entering the ‘WrestleFest’ tournament last week! Don’t you think that that is the least of what he deserves?”

Matt Striker – “No! If Booker had any common sense and professionalism about him, he wouldn’t have allowed himself to be distracted so easily!”

Michael Cole – “Either way, that match will still take place later tonight and I’m sure there’s plenty more of that in store for Edge if Booker T has got anything to do with it! After the break we are going to see ‘Cryme Tyme’ in tag team competition and I hear that General Manager Adamle will make his announcement too.”

Commercial Break

*BROOKLYN, BROOKLYN*

We return from the break and there’s a tag team in the ring already, but right now…out come JTG and ‘Da Beast’ Gaspard…’CRYME TYME’!

‘The Fink’ – “The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall! Making their way to the ring, from Brooklyn, New York, weighing in at a combined weight of 530 pounds…’Cryme Tyme’”

JTG is dancing around on his way to the ring taunting the crowd with every bounce in his step, whilst ‘Da Beast’ Gaspard walks to the ring dead serious!

Michael Cole – “My God, look at the size on Gaspard. Near 7 foot and he does mean business.”

Matt Striker – “Gaspard is the muscle of this team whilst JTG brings the speed! The perfect combination for tag team wrestling. ‘Cryme Tyme’ are going to be a force to contend with!”

‘The Fink’ – “Their opponents, currently in the ring, weighing at a combined weight of 480 pounds…Jeff King and Robbie Liddel.”

‘Cryme Tyme’ v Jeff King and Robbie Liddel
This match is over pretty much as quickly as it started with JTG taunting his opponents, only for Gaspard to make a run at King and Liddel and hit a big double clothesline.
JTG stomps away at King in the corner whilst jumping around infront of him taunting him with “’che, ‘che”!
In the mean time Gaspard has Liddel up high over his head in a military press position and throws him outside the ring. JTG whips King across the ring and Gaspard lands a big boot into his face! JTG keeps jumping around very excitedly as Gaspard and he both hit a ‘High 5’!
Michael Cole – “This match needs to be stopped already…we’ve got one man face down out here and another is getting destroyed in the ring. It’s a mugging is what this is!”
Gaspard lifts up King and he and JTG hit the ‘G9’ combo finisher as this match is over already!
Winners via pinfall, ‘Cryme Tyme’

Matt Striker – “Just as I said, the perfect combination there! Did you see how strong Gaspard was? Mightily impressive outing there from the boys from Brooklyn..”

The sound of machine guns roar and just like last week, Shelley and Sabin, ‘The Motor City Machine Guns’ walk out for a stare down with the team standing in the ring.

Michael Cole – “What is going on here with these two? This is the second week they’ve come out and done nothing but look at the team in the ring infront of them.”

Matt Striker – “Michael, cant you see, they want to be the best team here in GWA. It’s all about scouting your opponents. If they want to be in this tag team championship race, they need to learn their potential opponents weaknesses and strengths! Dear me, you know, sometimes I wonder whether you learn anything at all Cole!”

Michael Cole – “Well you’re the teacher Matt, maybe you should enlighten us all more often. Anyway, in four weeks time, the GWA will hold its first ever Pay Per View extravaganza, ‘WrestleFest’…lets take a look.”

‘WrestleFest’ advert.

Michael Cole – “There we have it, ‘WrestleFest’, Sunday April 11th, 7pm! We will see the crowning of the very first GWA World Heavyweight Champion and also the very first GWA tag team champions…Matt I cant wait!”

Generic music plays out and out comes General Manager Mike Adamle to booing!

Matt Striker – “Here comes the boss, Mike Adamle, so it can only mean one thing Michael…announcement time!”

Adamle steps in the ring and takes the microphone.

Mike Adamle – “Thank you, thank you all for your support. I think you will all agree with me that last week’s show was a huge success and I'd like to think that you fans were a big part of it. As a thank you for that, I told you all that I had a big announcement and I would reveal to it you all here, live, in Charlotte, North Carolina.”

Very small pop for the cheap attempt of pandering from the General Manager.

Mike Adamle – “Next week, live from Baltimore, Maryland on “Thursday Night Prime Time”, there is going to be a 20 man Battle Royale. Now the winner of this will be crowned the NEW United States Heavyweight Champion! That's right, the man who will win that match will be the man who will represent our great country and its very own champion! Now...”

The sinister sounds of Steve Regal’s music begins and out comes the ‘Gentleman’ from the United Kingdom.

Steve Regal – “Mr Adamle sir, please, I implore you, if you have a modicum of respect for your country, then you'll grant me the opportunity to be involved in this match up. I believe sir that I would make a far better representation of your country than any of the bloody idiots you have running around back there!”

The crowd have heard enough already and boo Regal.

Steve Regal – “You've seen the fantastic ambassadorial work that I do for the United Kingdom...just think what I could do for you! I could make the United States look almost as good!”

That comment really gets up the crowds back and Regal will be lucky to make it out of the ring unscathed at this rate.

Mike Adamle – “Now Mr. Regal, there's no need for you to continue, you don't want to go damaging any of the work that you've already done for the Brits now do you? With that said, I can appreciate what you are trying to say, so my answer to you is yes, you can have a spot in the Battle Royale...and that too goes for anyone who wants it, please come and see me in my office and the first twenty people who’s names I have down will get that opportunity. Mr. Regal...you are the first name, nineteen more to get, so if you’ll excuse me.”

Adamle walks out of the ring, whilst Regal looks very pleased with himself.

The screen then fades out to commercial break.

We return to Michael Cole and Matt Striker at ringside.

Michael Cole – “There we have it then Matt, next week, live from Baltimore, Maryland, we’re going to see a new United States Champion crowned in a 20 man over the top rope Battle Royale. This could give somebody the perfect opportunity to launch their careers here in GWA.”

*You think you know me*

Edge comes out looking seriously pissed from the attack from Booker T earlier tonight.

‘The Fink’ – “Ladies and Gentlemen this is your main event of the evening and is scheduled for one fall…making his way to the ring, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing 250 pounds…’The Rated R Superstar’…Edge!”

Matt Striker – “Here we go then…main event time! Edge looks possessed and I truly believe Booker T has done himself no favours here tonight with that attack on Edge he pulled earlier!”

‘The Fink’ – “And his opponent….”

*CAN YOU DIG IT…SUCKAAAA?!*

‘The Fink’ – “weighing 250 pounds, from Houston, Texas…Booker T!”

Michael Cole – “Matt I still believe that Edge had what came to him earlier, and still has what’s coming to him right now also. He cost Booker a place in that tournament and now Booker T is going to make him pay!”

Booker T v Edge
*GO!* Christian Cage’s music begins and Cage is out wearing jeans and tshirt. He strolls down to the ring seeking out his “Peeps”.

Matt Striker and Michael Cole – “What the?”

Michael Cole – “Now what is going on?”

Christian heads to the announce table and pulls on a headset and shakes hands with Cole and Striker.

Christian Cage – “Evening Cole…Matt…how you both doing? I just thought I’d come out and join you for a spot of commentary. That cool with you?”

Matt Striker – “Well its certainly a surprise, but welcome anyway. Do you care to comment on what happened last week?”

Christian Cage – “Yeah, I won! I’m in the tournament at ‘WrestleFest’! I cant speak for my idiot brother in there though, I don’t know what was going on with him and I cant say I’m best pleased about it as I told him to keep out of my business. Nevertheless, Christian Cage is in the tournament and will be crowned the very first GWA World Heavyweight Champion.”

Booker T is not looking impressed in the ring as Edge smiles.

The match begins as Edge turns around and is met by a Booker T jumping side kick. Edge goes down hard and Booker mounts him landing fist after fist to Edge’s skull.
Edge rolls to the outside, but Booker takes chase after him, then launches Edge into the safety barriers. Booker looks up as the crowd pop for him. Booker then rolls Edge back into the ring and goes to grab a chair from ringside. The referee rolls out and stops Booker in his tracks and removes the chair from his possession. Booker T slides back into the ring only for Edge great him with a boot!
Christian Cage – “Well it certainly looks as though the referee has really done Booker a favour there hasn’t he? Booker shouldn’t even be getting chairs involved in this match...he needs to focus.”
Matt Striker – “Christian, are you seriously telling me that you and your brother are not in cohoots so to speak?”
Christian Cage – “Matt listen up...you too Michael...I told Edge last week I didn’t need his help and I stand by that comment. I’m merely out here tonight to watch on with interest a potential oppontent in the ‘WrestleFest’ tournament.”
Edge takes control from here on in with a lot of kicks and wear down holds. For the next six or seven minutes, Edge is in total control and it’s only when Edge misses his spear and bounces face first off of the middle turnbuckle does Booker T begin to take control back.
Outside the ring, Christian Cage is looking on intently.
Booker T whips Edge into the ropes and sends him to the outside with a big back body drop to the floor. As he follows him outside, Booker eyes up Christian.
Booker T – “What’s your problem fool?”
Christian – “Hey man, nothing, I’m just doing some commentary.”
Booker lands a heavy right on Edge to keep him on the ground.
Booker T – “Yeah? You and him (pointing to Edge) together?”
Christian – “I’ve already said no! I’ve told you man, just leave it!”
Booker T – “Yeah...I’ll leave it.”
Booker picks up Edge and throws him into Christian.
The crowd are going wild!
Michael Cole – “Oh my God...what is going on here? Absolute carnage!!!”
Booker grabs Edge and throws him back into the ring and kicks him in the stomach...HE’S SIGNALLING FOR THE AXE KICK...BOOKER T NAILS IT! BOOKER...SPINNAROONIE!!! Booker is back on his feet and is going for the ‘Houston Hangover’ off the top rope. Before he can steady himself, Christian is up on the apron and pushes Booker off the top rope...hitting the canvas hard.
Edge is up now to his knees and is waiting impatiently for Booker to turn around and.........SPEAR! 1...2...3!
Winner via pinfall, Edge

Michael Cole – “For the second consecutive week, Booker T is screwed over. The man hasn’t caught a break here since he started in the GWA!”

Matt Striker – “Does this mean that Christian and Edge ARE in on this together? Or was that merely retaliation from Cage?”

Michael Cole – “I’m not sure Matt, but it looks like we’ll have to find out next week as we are out of time…Goodnight fans!”

The last images we see are Christian standing outside the ring with his hands on his hips looking down at the floor…Edge backing up the ramp with a grin on his face…and Booker T lying flat out on the floor clutching his ribs.

Fade to black.

'Thursday Night Warfare'

This week World Elite Wrestling 'Thursday Night Warfare' Comes live from the Jefferson Convention Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

Last week we saw two new champions crowned. Firstly Kofi Kingston became the very first World Elite Wrestling North American Champion when he won the Fatel Four Way main event pinning John Morrison. Randy Orton made his pressence felt all night in attacking Kingston after his first round match and then trying to cost Kofi Kingston his title only for Kingston to hit Orton with the Trouble in Paradise. But it was Kingston who left the show with his head held high and will Orton attack again or will Kingston be looking for revenge?

The French Connection are the first ever World Elite Wrestling Tag Team Champions. The team of Rene Dupree and Sylvian Grenier won a four way elimanation match to capture the titles. But only thanks to the help of Eric Young did the team pick up the win. Why has Eric Young alligned himself with the tag champs? Hopefully we will find out Thursday Night.

Also after Chris Jericho attacked Triple H two weeks ago Triple H and Chris Jericho confronted each other last week on Warfare. Chris Jericho challenged Triple H to make history by main eventing World Elite Wrestlings first ever pay per view. Triple H accepted and World Elite Wrestlings Commishiner Shawn Michaels will have a major announcement this week regarding the Pay Per View.

Evan Bourne and Kaz will be looking for revenge this week on The British Invasion after Brutus Magnus hit Kaz with the Brass Knuckles to elimanated them. It's been announced that Kaz will take on Brutus Magnus this week on Warfare. Will Kaz get his revenge?

We see a recap of the two crowning champions last week. We also see a recap of Jericho’s attack two weeks ago on Triple H and last week with them agreeing to face off at WEW first Pay Per View.

Mike Tenay welcomes us to the show and mentions HBK big announcement concerning the Pay Per View and that Chris Jericho will be in action for the first time tonight
!

1st Match
Kaz w/ Evan Bourne v Brutus Magnus w/ British Invasion

As both men make their way to the ring we see a recap of last week where Magnus hit Kaz with the brass knacks to eliminate Kaz and Bourne from the Four Way Elimination match.

Finish: Brutus over powers Kaz for most of the match but Kaz gets the upper hand and hits a drop kick. He then hits a ddt and looks for the flux capacitor but Terry comes in and blind sides Kaz. Terry and Williams then start beating on Kaz when Bourne jumps straight in only for the Invasion to over power him and the Invasion continue the beat down. Magnus grabs the brass knuckles and hits Kaz and Bourne with them laying them out.

We see Chris Jericho arrive at the building.

Commercial Break

HBK makes his way down to the ring to a huge reaction from the crowd. He grabs the mic and is ready for his major announcement. The crowd are excited to see what the announcement is as they start chanting HBK. He says that at our first Pay Per View we will see Triple H defend his WEW World Championship against Chris Jericho. That match will take place on…

Randy Ortons music plays and cuts of HBK, Orton makes his way down to the ring as the crowd chant asshole at him. He gets in and HBK questions why he has come down and interrupted him. Orton says that it’s wrong that he has to watch Triple H defend my WEW World Championship. Orton demands he be put in the match and make it a triple threat. HBK says he had his chance but blew it. Orton says Kingston was the one to blame for that. HBK says that last week Orton got in other peoples way including John Morrison as he nearly had the North American Championship won. So tonight Randy Orton will square off against John Morrison. Orton doesn’t look pleased as all of a sudden Kofi Kingston’s music plays and he sprints down to the ring and goes punch to punch with Orton. Both men fight around ringside with Kofi slamming Ortons head against the announcers table. Orton manages to retreat as Kofi stands at the bottom of the ramp shouting at Orton.

Commercial Break

In the back Triple H tells Josh Mathews that it doesn’t matter when the PPV is because he will be ready. Triple H says tonight he will be watching Jericho closely.

Jack Swagger comes to the ring and says that was an injustice for him not to be included in the North American Championship tournament last week and tonight he will show HBK that he was wrong.

2nd Match
Jack Swagger v Scotty Goldman

Finish: Goldman gains an advantage and goes to the top rope. He jumps off trying a cross body but Swagger catches him and slams him down. Swagger then hits the gut wrench power bomb for the win.

After the match Swagger taunts to the crowd a bit as they boo him.

In the back Josh Matthews is joined by The World Elite Wrestling Tag Team Champions The French Connection with Eric Young. Eric Young said that he has aligned himself with the French Connection simply because these guys have class. They have the Right morals. With being from the better part of Canada, we have a connection. Last week we showed just a start to the dominance that will come. Eric Young then says that Carlito will find out next what The French Connection is all about.

3rd Match
Eric Young w/ The French Connection v Carlito w/ Primo

Finish: With the match going back and fourth Primo got into a war of words with Rene Dupree and Sylvian Grenier. As the ref was shouting at them Eric Young hits a low blow on Carlito and then his Neck breaker and pinned him as the ref counted the 3.

The French Connection left up the ramp with Eric Young smiling after his win.

Commercial Break

Chris Jericho barged into HBK office and asked why he was put in a match tonight. HBK said it was about time we saw Jericho in action. Jericho wasn’t too happy when Hernandez walks in, Jericho tells him to get his ass out of here as he was having a chat. Hernandez stares at him as Jericho moves back a little. Hernandez asks HBK to have a match against Matt Morgan. HBK said Morgan is in a match with Cody Rhodes tonight to teach Rhodes a lesson. HBK tells him he will have to wait. Hernandez then said he would watch Matt Morgan match closely. Hernandez then brushes past Jericho as he leaves. Jericho doesn’t look happy.

4th Match
Matt Morgan v Cody Rhodes

Hernandez comes down and joins commentary for this match.

Finish: Morgan hits a carbon footprint early in the match and covers for the win.

After the match Morgan goes out of the ring and walks over to Hernandez and asks if he wants to fight him Hernandez stands up and says hell yeah he wants to fight him. Out of now where Morgan hits a big boot to Hernandez sending him flying into the King and Tenay. Morgan looks at Hernandez with a smile and leaves. Hernandez then says it’s on now.

In the back John Morrison tells Josh Mathews that tonight he will get some of Orton and show him and the rest of the world that he is a big time player. Kofi Kingston walks in and says that he will fight Morrison in the future for the North American title but tonight, He wants him to kick Orton’s ass.

5th Match
Chris Jericho v Dolph Ziggler

Finish: Half way through the match Triple H appeared on the stage and watched Jericho. Ziggler tried a splash on Jericho in the corner but Jericho moved and hit the Codebreaker, Jericho then pointed at Triple H and applied the Walls of Jericho on Ziggler to make him tap. Jericho wouldn’t let go off the hold and kept it locked in, Triple H came down to the ring and went to jump in but Jericho released the hold so Triple H never jumped in. Triple H pointed at Jericho saying they will get it on and Chris Jericho will get his ass kicked.

HBK music then played as the crowd got on their feet. Triple H and Jericho stared at each other. HBK said that the announcement he wanted to make earlier was that World Elite Wrestling’s first Pay Per View will be called New Dawn and will take place at Orlando, Florida in 17 days time on Sunday April 11th. Triple H then pointed at Jericho telling him that they will be getting it on then.

Commercial Break

We come back and Josh Matthews catches up with HBK and HBK tells him that next week Chris Jericho will take on Hernandez one on one.

6th Match
Randy Orton v John Morrison

Finish: Morrison and Orton went at it in a fiery contest. Morrison gained the upper control and looked to hit the star ship pain but Orton moved. Orton then waited for Morrison to recover and hit the RKO to pick up the win.

Orton looked at Morrison as he lay down after the match when all of a sudden Kofi Kingston ran down to the ring once again and started fighting with Orton. He and Kingston fought on the outside and back into the ring. Kingston hit the Trouble in Paradise on Orton and held up the North American Championship over his head as the show went off the air.

Live! from the 1st Mariner Arena, Baltimore, Maryland

*Fireworks erupt* and the cameras pan all around the arena as the crowd are going wild with anticipation for the third weekly episode of the GWA’s “Thursday Night Prime Time.

The show’s theme music dies down when suddenly….

*You Cant See Me, My Time is Now*

It’s John Cena!!! Cena makes his way to the top of the ramp and salutes the 13,000 strong in attendance and then makes his way to the ring and takes a microphone in hand.

John Cena - "Baltimore, Maryland let me here you make some noise up in this place…because the very first GWA Champ…IS…HERE!"

Crowd pop massively for the mention of their home town but some fans still remain anti-Cena.

John Cena - "Now I am aware that that last comment I made is a little presumptuous but yes, I do believe that in a little over two weeks time, I will walk out of Madison Square Garden the first ever GWA World Heavyweight champion!"

BIG mixed reaction.

John Cena - (laughing) "Yes I am aware that I'm not everybody's cup of tea and flavour of the month but c'mon guys, who would you rather see win it???...A man who tries to preach to you all how to live your lives? A man who claims to be Holier than thou and better than all of you fans?"

Crowd boo.

John Cena - "Nope, guess not. Ok how about a guy who walks around with half a haircut and no eyebrows and seems to be a bit of pyromaniac!"

Crowd boo again.

John Cena - "Yep I guessed as much! Let's try another one, how about..."

*ONE OF A KIND* and pyros blow and out comes 'Mr. Thursday Nighr', 'The Whole F'n Show'...Rob...Van...Dam!

RVD - "Hey John, you know, I gotta agree with you there, nobody wants to see either of those two win. Here let me try one...who wants to see their World Heavyweight Champion as a spoilt rich kid who cheated his way into qualification?"

Crowd boo again.

RVD and Cena both nod in approval of the fans reaction.

RVD - "I like it...but you see John here's the thing, whilst these guys don't want them as their champion, I bet I know someone who they DO want!"

Crowd chant "ROB...VAN...DAM!"

RVD smiles. Cena laughs.

John Cena - "Well its good to see we've got some friendly competition going on here! I can't fault you Rob, I mean let's be honest, if anybody on this roster said they didn't want to win any title possible I'd either call them a liar...or punch them square between the eyes, tell them to get out of this company and never come back! The GWA World Heavyweight Championship is the one thing that any wrestler should strive to attain! It means you've made it to the top of your profession! You've gone through heaven and hell, climbed mountains and swam through oceans...but you've earnt the greatest prize of them all to show for it! And..."

*YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME*

Edge is out and is walking to the ring with purpose! He steps through the ring and takes a microphone.

Edge - "Oh this is nice, please, continue! Proceed with this public showing of high fives and ass kissing."

Crowd boo.

Edge - "You were finished? Oh goody, now allow me to offer you both a response...Nobody wants you around here, let alone as champion! These people and this show needs someone who can generate ratings, someone who can whip up a frenzy and garner interest in this company to drive it forward. That someone...is ME!"

Boooo!

John Cena - "Ladies and Gentlemen, here is your winner...'The Rated R Lunatic' Edge!"

Crowd half boo and laugh at the insult. Edge doesn't look amused.

John Cena - "Nope I didn't think it was something you'd all go for either."

Edge - "Oh you are so hilarious aren't you Cena?! So funny hahahaha! Laugh it up! Because at 'WrestleFest'...I will be laughing last when I win that World Heavyweight championship."

Cena and Edge go nose to nose.

RVD - "Guys, guys...chill, let's not get worked up here, especially when there's only going to be one winner on April 11!"

Cena and Edge both turn to Van Dam and it turns into a three man face off.

*Generic music*

General Manager Mike Adamle walks out microphone in hand.

Mike Adamle - "Excuse me gentlemen, could you all just settle down a moment please? I'd like your undivided attention."

All three look to Adamle.

Mike Adamle - "Thank you. Now it appears that with our Pay Per View under three weeks away, tensions are starting to build up and I have a solution to ease things! So far tonight, Kane has a match up signed and Ted DiBiase is entering the 20 man over the top rope Battle Royale for the United States championship. I have also just signed Christian Cage up to a one on one match against fellow tournament entrant, the self proclaimed 'Second City Saint' CM Punk. Now that leaves me with you three gentlemen. And as there does seem to be a little bit of tension and testosterone flying around the ring, I'm going to make another match right now."

Crowd cheer.

Mike Adamle - "Tonight, in that very ring, it will be Rob Van Dam...versus Edge...versus John Cena...in a triple threat match!"

The crowd pop for the announcement as all three men seem happy with the announcement.

Mike Adamle - "Thank you all, enjoy the evening!"

As Adamle walks off the cameras pan back to the ring and Cena and Van Dam are exchanging glances and nods of "may the better man win" when out of nowhere.....

BAM!!!

Edge hits a spear on John Cena out of nowhere and then runs out of the ring before Van Dam is able to realise what has happened.

Cena is down holding his ribs as Van Dam kneels over him trying to help Cena. Edge walks up the ramp scream profanities down to both men as his music plays out.

We now cut to a shot of the GWA announce table where we see our hosts Michael Cole and 'Your Teacher' Matt Striker.

Michael Cole - "What a blockbuster announcement to start off tonight's show! A triple threat main event! And just 17 days short of our very first Pay Per View...this is a massive night! Welcome everyone to Baltimore, Maryland, we're live from the 1st Mariner Arena. I'm Michael Cole and I'm here with my co-host, he's 'Your Teacher' Matt Striker."

Matt Striker - "Hello everyone and yes Michael, what a night we have shaped up for us tonight. In addition to that triple threat match, we are going to see a 20 man over the top rope Battle Royale to crown the GWA a new United States champion! These are important times not just for the superstars, but for the GWA itself! Careers will be made but also the direction of this company will be shaped. Exciting times Michael."

Michael Cole - "They are indeed Matt, they are indeed. Tonight we'll also see 'The Motor City Machine Guns' making their in ring debuts and we'll also see the Christian Cage face CM Punk in one on competition."

Matt Striker - "That's all this week, but Michael I'd like to talk about last week for a moment. Ted DiBiase qualified for the 'WrestleFest' tournament for the World Heavyweight Championship...let's take a look."

Video package of the climax of DiBiase v Montel Porter is shown with DiBiase getting the win using brass knuckles.

Michael Cole - "We saw it there Matt...Ted DiBiase used the foreign object to get the win! The referee did not see it...therefore DiBiase gets the seventh qualifying spot for 'WrestleFest'"

Matt Striker - "Ted DiBiase is a talented performer...he shouldn't have had to use a foreign object, but hey, he did, he got away with it, good luck to him! He's going to 'WrestleFest' and has a chance at becoming the GWA's first ever World Heavyweight Champion."

Michael Cole - "Folks we're going to head to a commercial break now but when we return we'll see 'The Big Red Machine' Kane! We'll be right back."

Commercial break.

We return to a shot of the ramp as Italian opera music fills the air and out comes the ‘Milan Miracle’ Santino Marella.

*SANTINOOOOOOOOOOOOOO*

Santino makes his way to the ring waving and smiling at everyone.

BOOM!!! The lights dim and turn to red. The church organ music begins to play and out walks the 7 foot monster Kane.

Michael Cole – “Matt, I’d like to quote an old friend here…”Hellfire and Brimstone”!!! It’s Kane!”

Matt Striker – “Kane is a demonic creature Michael and is surely one of the favourites to win the World Heavyweight championship tournament in a little over two weeks at ‘WrestleFest’. Santino Marella is a brave, brave man!”

Michael Cole – “Either that or he is extremely stupid!”

Kane enters the ring and looks ready for action.

Kane v Santino Marella

Before the match starts…Santino takes a microphone.

Santino - "Now Kane, youa seeeem like a very reasonable person! You don't want to hurt me! Eeen fact, Kane...you Big Red Machines...yooo are a very intellectuals monster! Yooo have a very big night in just four leeeetle weeks...yooo don't want this (Santino flexes his muscles and puffs out his chest to look big)! If yooo just lie down like a good leeetle monster, I promise not to hurt yooo! Now do we hava a deal?"

Kane looks at Santino and breaks out the ugly little grin of his and starts to laugh. Santino nervously laughs along with him. Kane puts out his hand to Santino!
Santino looks stunned and seemingly can't believe his luck and begins to jump around excitedly and then recomposes himself. Marella responds by putting his hand out to shake Kane's and then BANG! Kane nails Santino Marella with a big clothesline!
Marella hits the mat hard and now Kane is lying in wait. Marella struggles to his feet, not really knowing where he is or what country he's in...Kane slaps a hand around Marella's throat and squeezes tight before hoisting poor Santino 8 feet in the air...only to slam the air out of him back on the way down! 1...2...3!
Winner via pinfall, Kane

Kane raises his arms in the air laughing maniacally in doing so...and throws them down setting fire and flames spewing out of the turnbuckles!

Michael Cole - "Kane...'The Big Red Machine'...what a decisive display tonight. By that evidence, Kane has got to be one of the favourites to win the World Heavyweight Championship at 'WrestleFest'."

Matt Striker - "Kane sure didn't waste any time there dismantling Santino Marella BUT with all due respect...Santino Marella has lost the last two matches he's had in a combined time of less that ONE minute. Kane's opponents on April 11 are going to take more of a beating than that! Nonetheless the 'Epitome of Evil' rolls on!

Michael Cole - "He does indeed...now let's take a look at this video package of the GWA's newest Cruiserweight...Jushin 'Thunder' Liger."

Video package of Liger plays out with a graphic saying "NEXT!" showing at the end!

Commercial break

We return from the commercial break and...

*Electric guitar screeches around the arena*

Michael Cole - "Now its time for some cruiserweight action...and the debut of Jushin 'Thunder' Liger."

’The Fink’ – “Ladies and Gentlemen the following contest, is a cruiserweight attraction, scheduled for one fall. First, making his way down to the ring, being accompanied by ‘The Bulldog’ Harry Smith and Natty Neidhart, hailing from Calgary…Alberta…Canada! Weighing in at 195 pounds…’The Calgary Kid’ Tyson Wilson.”

Tyson Wilson makes his way down the ramp way accompanied by the rest of The New Foundation to a chorus off boos.

Matt Striker - "Tyson Wilson, the last ever graduate of the Hart Family Dungeon, here he is being accompanied to the ring with his tag team partner, 'The Bulldog' Harry Smith and their valet, the dangerous yet delicious, Natty Neidhart!"

Micheal Cole - "Wilson is an accomplished high flying singles competitor Matt, but he and Harry Smith, the son of 'The British Bulldog' Davey Boy Smith and Natty Neidhart, the daughter of Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart have all come here to show the entire world that the next generation of Hart's are as good as if not better than the ones come before them."

Matt Striker - "Well Michael, with the likes of uncle's like the late 'Rocket' Owen Hart and wrestling Hall of Famer, Bret 'Hitman' Hart, their grandfather Stu...even their own fathers 'The Anvil' and 'The British Bulldog'...it's a big statement to make!"

Wilson is in the ring and awaiting Jushin 'Thunder' Liger!

‘The Fink’ – “And his opponent, from Hiroshima, Japan…Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger.”

Matt Striker – “Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger, the man, the myth, the legend…’The High Flying Pugilist from the Pacific’ has arrived here in the Global Wrestling Association. A former Super J Cup Winner and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, let’s see if he can repeat his accomplishments here in the US.”

Liger jogs down the ramp way and enters the ring. He removes his robe and we are ready to go!

Liger v Tyson Wilson
Fast paced match up with Liger controlling the opening few minutes, issuing furious palm thrusts and then slowing down the lightening quick Wilson with an arm bar on the mat. The tide changes when Neidhart gets involved by grabbing Liger's legs whilst Smith as the referee's attention over the other side of the ring. Liger turns to Smith but Wilson steams in with a clothesline to the back of the neck and takes control from here in.
Natty and Smith both protest their innocence as Wilson lays into Liger's abdomen with stomps as he looks to incapacitate Liger. Wilson with a bodyslam on Liger in the center of the ring. Wilson springboards to the top rope and drops a big elbow down on to the heart of Liger. Wilson with the cover 1...2...kick out.
Wilson lays in with some kicks of his own now and applies an ankle lock.
Matt Striker - "This intelligent wrestling from Wilson now, by applying the ankle lock, it takes away Jushin Liger's aerial ability and keeps him grounded."
Liger tries to crawl to the rope but Wilson releases the hold and plants a legdrop across Liger's sternum. 1...2...kick out!
Wilson continues with more fast paced moves from the ropes and as Liger looks to be gaining some momentum, he slaps on another wear down hold.
Matt Striker - "Wilson truly has learnt from the best in that Dungeon. Just look how he applies his holds to stop Liger even getting to his feet."
The crowd starts to clap and rally around Liger and he reaches the ropes.
Wilson gets Liger up to his feet and hoists Liger up on to his shoulders...
Michael Cole - "He's going for the 'Rolling Stampede'!"
Liger sticks a couple of elbows into Wilson's temples and drops down the backside...Liger hits the belly to back suplex. 1...2...quick kick out. Both men get to their feet...Wilson swings a punch but Liger ducks...German suplex...1...2...shoulder up. Liger senses victory and hobbles to the top rope.
Natty Neidhart jumps to the apron distracting the referee......Smith pushes Liger off and enters the ring. Smith picks up Liger in a bear hug as Wilson is outside on the apron...springboard off the top rope, Wilson tries for a clothesline...LIGER FLIPS OVER SMITHS BACK AND WILSON MISSES! Smith turns around in disbelief and takes a kick to the face and falls to the outside.
Wilson comes bounding over, Liger with a kick to the midsection...BRAINBUSTER and a running senton!

Wilson's up!

Liger signals for the finish and picks Wilson up. He places his head between his legs and lifts Wilson up high...RUNNING LIGER BOMB!!! Wilson is planted hard into the mat as the referee is down for the count. 1.....2.....3!
Winner via pinfall, Jushin 'Thunder' Liger

Michael Cole – “What a match that was! Liger has shown exactly what he is made of tonight. He was able to fend off three of this company’s up and coming stars and still come out on top! Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger looks like he could well replicate the success that he had in Japan over here in the GWA!”

Liger bows to the fans as we head backstage to Christy Hemme and ‘The Motor City Machine Guns’.

Christy Hemme - "Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin you've been seen here on "Thursday Night Prime Time" over the past couple of weeks...seemingly scouting other tag teams. Tonight you finally make your in ring debuts, how are you feeling? Any last minute nerves?"

Shelley - "Nerves? No Christy there are no nerves here. Sabin and I have waited until this week to make our in ring debuts! I have to question the leadership and judgement of our General Manager, Mike Adamle. You see Mike Adamale says he wants to rebuild this tag team division and give it a new lease of life so what does he do?! He wheels out a number of other tag teams who let's be quite honest...just aren't us!"

Sabin - "By that, we ARE saying that we are THE best team on this roster, and we cannot believe that our skills haven’t been utilised until now. An absolute disgusting decision!”

Shelley – “Shocking!”

Sabin – “So whatever idea that our fearless GM may have for ‘WrestleFest’ and the crowning of this company’s first ever tag team champions, we say we want in! Mike Adamle, trust us…with the ‘Motor City Machine Guns’ as your tag team champions…the rejuvenation that you have planned for this division will be in safe hands!”

Shelley – “To be quite honest with you though Christy, after our match tonight, Mike Adamle is going to have no option but to grant us a spot in whatever match he dreams up and if the man has a shred of intelligence about him, he’ll come out and take a look first hand at his future tag team champions!”

Shelley and Sabin turn back to back and “fire” their fingers as guns before walking off in separate directions.

We switch to another part of the backstage area where we find Todd Grisham and ‘Simply Priceless’ Ted DiBiase.

Todd Grisham - "Ted DiBiase, last week you advanced to the 'WrestleFest' World Heavyweight Championship tournament...albeit controversially...in a win over Montel Porter. Now this week you have entered yourself into the Battle Royale for the United States Championship! Come the end of 'WrestleFest' you could hold two championships here in the GWA...do you really think you can pull this off?"

Ted DiBiase - sighs "What kind of a ridiculous question is that? If I didn't think that this were possible, I wouldn't be wasting my time entering both title hunts! Todd, my father, 'The Million Dollar Man', was a former 'Million Dollar' champion...a former Tag Team champion...but never held any major singles championships. I will overshadow my father and unlike his attempt to buy a World Heavyweight championship, I intend to win two major singles titles, on my own, in the space of a month."

Todd Grisham – “Well as I said, last week your win was rather controversial. Let’s take a look.”

A video replay of the end of last weeks match between DiBiase and Montel Porter shows where DiBiase used the brass knuckles to win the match.

Ted DiBiase – “What?”

Todd Grisham – “What do you mean what? You were caught on camera using brass knuckles…that’s a tainted win is it not?”

Ted DiBiase – “Look Todd, that “proof” that you have shows nothing. I got a right hand in on Porter…he went down…I took advantage and got the three count…what is your problem?!”

Todd Grisham – “Well the pictures clearly show….”

Ted Dibiase – (grabbing Grisham) “NOTHING!!! The pictures show nothing except for me winning the match and qualifying for ‘WrestleFest’…and it will be the same result tonight and it will be the same result three times over come April 11th and this company will have itself both a ‘Priceless’ United States champion and a ‘Priceless’ World Heavyweight champion!”

DiBiase throws Grisham down to the ground and walks away.

Back in the arena a sound of machine guns rip through the air.

‘The Fink’ – “Ladies and Gentlemen, this tag team contest is scheduled for one fall. Making their way to the ring, at a total combined weight of 415 pounds…from Detroit, Michigan…Shelley and Sabin, ‘The Motor City Machine Guns’.”

Michael Cole – “These two youngsters have come into the GWA full of confidence and…if I do say so myself…an air of cockiness about them. Tonight we’ll see if they can back it up!”

Matt Striker – “Well as the ‘Guns’ fellow Michigan native Kid Rock once said, “it aint bragging if you can back it up”!”

The Italian mafia music plays and now out come Stamboli and Palumbo.

‘The Fink’ – “And their opponents, at a total combined weight of 525 pounds…Johnny ‘The Bull’ Stamboli and Chuck Palumbo…‘The F.B.I.’!”

Matt Striker – “Michael, Stambolie and Palumbo are going to be dangerous here tonight after their last match against ‘The Hooliganz’. ‘The F.B.I.’ have a point to prove here tonight.

‘Motor City Machine Guns’ v ‘The F.B.I.’
‘The Guns’ take a quick advantage and turn the tempo of the match up to full throttle with quick tags and even quicker double team moves. Shelley and Sabin manage to hit Stamboli with their baseball slide/hesitation dropkick combo and they also manage to hit Palumbo with the reverse STO/Enzuigiri combo. ‘The F.B.I.’ do manage a minor comeback and illegally double team Sabin for a brief spell.
When Sabin makes the hot-tag to Shelley, ‘The Guns’ don’t look back and finish the match with Shelley hitting Stamboli with a surprise inside cradle for the 1, 2, 3.
Winnners via pinfall, ‘The Motor City Machine Guns’

‘The Guns’ celebrate in the ring as Matt Striker can be overheard clapping off microphone and muttering “Very impressive.”

We then fade to commercial break.

We return from the commercial break and we see Montel Porter in the locker room tying his boots up when a pony-tailed stranger turns up. Porter looks up.

Montel Porter - "Can I help you?"

Mystery Man - "Nay...you cannae help me! You cannae help yourself!"

Porter now gets up and into the man's face.

Mystery Man - "Hold it now fella, back up. Allow me to introduce myself...my name is Drew McIntyre! Last week you couldn't help yourself into that World Heavyweight championship tournament at 'WrestleFest'! What makes you think that you could help me at all?!"

Montel Porter is looking extremely pissed at that comment.

Drew McIntyre - "I notice that you're also in this United States championship Battle Royale tonight...don't get your hopes up on winning it sonny, I am 'The Future' of this company, and tonight, I start my dominance here in the GWA by winning that match."

Montel Porter - "Oh is it that so? You know, for a guy who's just got here you run your mouth a little too much."

Drew McIntyre - "Maybe I do...but I can back my words up! See you out there fella!"

Porter looks seething with what's just happened as the camera fades to black.

The bell rings signalling us that our next contest is about to begin.

‘The Fink’ – “This match is scheduled for one fall.”

*GO!*

It’s the sound of ‘Story of the Year’ and that can only mean one thing…Christian!

‘The Fink’ - “Making his way to the ring, from Toronto, Ontario Canada, weighing in at 227 lbs….Christian Cage!”

Michael Cole – “For the past two weeks, we’ve seen both Edge and Christian get involved in each others matches and one way or another, they’ve helped each other out. Christian denies having anything to do with his brother and is adamant that he walks alone. Will Christian’s older brother, Edge, show up here in this match tonight?”

‘The Fink’ –
“Who knows? But right now, it’s time for the ‘The Saviour of GWA’…’The Second City Saint’ CM Punk.”

*Killswitch Engage’s cries can be heard over the P.A. system*

‘The Fink’ – “And his opponent, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 222 pounds…’The Second City Saint’ C…M…Punk!”

‘Captain Charisma’ Christian Cage vs ‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk
A strong 15 minute see-saw encounter where both men attempted to hit their finishing moves on two occasions only for them to be blocked or reversed.
The finish came when referee Jack Doan had been accidently knocked to the floor in the middle of Cage and Punk collision. As the match continued in the ring, CM Punk hit Christian with his running knee lift in the corner and bulldog combination. As there was no referee to make the three count, Punk was unable get the cover.
Punk then hoists Christian up ready for the G.T.S…….

WAIT IT’S EDGE!!! Punk turns around just in time to catch Edge spearing him right in the gut and hits the mat hard with Christian landing on top of him.

*DING DING DING DING DING*

The referee has called for the bell. He was on his way crawling back into the ring when he saw the outside interference.
Winner via disqualification, ‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk

Edge backs up the ramp looking very frustrated and is shouting apologies at Christian.

Christian stands in the ring shouting back “what are you doing?”

Matt Striker – “Well what happened there? That was a plan that went totally wrong by the looks of things!”

Michael Cole – “You do have to wonder, Christian again doesn’t look pleased at Edge’s interference especially as he cost him the match.”

Christian is just left to walk out slowly shaking his head as Punk is sitting in the corner of the ring with his arm raised smiling.

Fade to commercial break.

We return and we see Christy Hemme with her guests ‘America’s Most Wanted’…and Jim Cornette??!!

Christy Hemme - "James Storm and Chris Harris, welcome to the GWA, but please tell me...what in the world is Jim Cornette doing here with you?!"

Jim Cornette - "Christy Hemme, the question should be how in the Hell did you get a job here in the GWA?!"

Christy does not look happy and is about to speak when Cornette interrupts her.

Jim Cornette - "Don't answer that its not important! What is important is that James and Chris here have made a very wise decision and signed me to be their new manager. With their talent and my expertise, I swear that I will make these two even bigger than the 'Heavenly Bodies'...they'll be more successful than 'The Midnight Express'! As of right now, I'm entering 'America's Most Wanted' into General Manager Adamle's tag team turmoil elimination match and I promise you...they will make an impact! For too long tag team wrestling has been a dormant art, and now its time to bring it all bursting back to life! 'America's Most Wanted' will be the team of 2010 and nobody...not the 'Motor City Machine Guns', not London and Kendrick, not even 'The New Foundation' with all their pedigree will stop them!"

James Storm - "Ha Ha you know, making the legendary Jimmy Cornette our manager, made sound business sense...he'll do the job outside the ring and we'll do it inside!"

Chris Harris - "and that starts tonight! We're also entering the 20 man over the top rope Battle Royale to crown a new United States champion and one way or another...one of us will walk away with that title!"

Jim Cornette - "End of chat sweet cheeks...boys, let's go!"

AMW walk out of shot but Storm walks back into view.

James Storm - "Oh yeah to all you boys in the back...sorry bout your damn luck!"

We head back to the ring as we see the participants of the 20 man over the top rope Battle Royale entering the ring. By the announce table is a stand where the United States championship sits.

‘The Fink’ – “Ladies and Gentlemen, this is a 20 man, over the top rope elimination Battle Royale, where the winner will be crowned…THE NEW GWA UNITED STATES CHAMPION.”

20 competitors make their way to the ring. When the final man enters the ring, ‘The Fink’ speaks again.

‘The Fink’ – “The rules are simple, a competitor is eliminated when he is thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the arena floor. The last man standing will be crowned United States Champion.”

The bell rings and we are under way!

20 man over the top rope Battle Royale for the vacant GWA United States Championship.

Order of elimination

The final 5 men are Ted DiBiase, Matt Hardy, Montel Porter, Drew McIntyre, Booker T. Porter is balanced up on the top turnbuckle by McIntyre...Booker comes over for the save. McIntyre trades punches with Booker but Booker gets the upper hand...Booker with the Irish whip...he leapfrogs McIntyre, PORTER CATCHES MCINTYRE. Over head toss to the outside!

Drew McIntyre is eliminated.

Hardy and DiBiase are brawling over by the ropes together but Booker manages to dump them both over the top rope.

Matt Hardy and Ted DiBiase are eliminated.

Hardy and DiBiase blame each other and continue to brawl outside the ring...McIntyre has snuck back in under the bottom rope as referees are trying to seperate DiBiase and Hardy. McIntyre tries to clothesline Porter over the top rope, but Porter ducks and he hits Booker T over the top rope.

Booker T is eliminated.

Porter then throws McIntyre over the top for a second time leaving him the winner and the NEW United States Champion!

Winner, and NEW United States champion, 'The Franchise Playa' Montel Porter

Michael Cole - "There we have it! The GWA has it's first champion crown. A new United States champion has been crowned...'The Franchise Playa' Montel Porter!"

Matt Striker - "What a moment in this company's history. Montel Porter...the NEW United States Champion...and I'll tell you something Michael Cole, this will only enhance Porter's claims that he is this company's M.V.P."

Michael Cole - "After the break folks, we have tonights main event. Rob Van Dam...Edge...John Cena...Triple Threat match...and its next!"

Porter then celebrates in the ring with the title as we cut to a commercial break.

Commercial break.

We return to the backstage area where we see Booker T parading around the back stage area looking visibly upset and frustrated at what just happened in the Battle Royale.

Voice in background - "Hey, hey Playa, hold up!"

Booker turns around and sees Theodore R. Long calling him.

Long - "Playa I just saw what happened out there, that's three weeks in a row you been screwed and the man here in GWA has done nothing about it! Now why do you think that is Book? Huh? Is General Manager Mike Adamle too busy for you Book? Now you tell me, why would that be?"

Booker T - "Teddy, what the Hell you talking bout man? Quit playin' the fool and get to the point, I'm not in the mood for games!"

Long - "Ok ok Playa! Its all you gots to say! Book, Mike Adamle is holding you down! Now Book, listen up...I HAVE A DREAM! And that dream is for the GWA to have itself a coloured World Heavyweight Champion! Book with me at your side there'll be no more screw jobs and no more being held back, that champion can be you... you feel me?"

Booker T - "Hell no Teddy, I can do this on my own. There's nothing funny going on, I just got to get my head in the game and I you hanging around is not gonna help, you dig? I don't need anybody to get what I want and I certainly don't need you sucka!"

Booker storms off.

Long - calling after Booker T "Just think about Playa...holla at me if you wanna talk!"

Back to the arena.

‘The Fink’ – “Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your main event of the evening, and is a triple threat match, scheduled for one fall!”

*ONE OF A KIND* and the pyro explodes and out comes ‘Mr. Thursday Night’ Rob Van Dam.

Van Dam makes his way to the ring all smiles and high fives to the crowd. When he gets in the ring, Van Dam climbs to the top rope and poses for the crowd as they all chant “ROB…VAN…DAM” with him!

‘The Fink’ – “First, from Battle Creek, Michigan, weighing in at 235 pounds…ROB…VAN…DAM!”

*YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME*

The smoke billows up from the stage and it’s now time for ‘The Rated R Superstar’…Edge!

Edge bounds down to the ring, with a scowl on his face.

Michael Cole – “Edge looks ready for business but is his mind on the game tonight Matt? After what happened earlier with him costing his brother Christian his match up earlier I do wonder…is Edge focused?”

Matt Striker – “Edge…‘The Rated R Superstar’…Michael Cole if there’s one thing that everybody knows about Edge is that he is ALWAYS focussed. His intensity is unparalleled here in the GWA and that is a big advantage that he has over his opponents.”

‘The Fink’ – “From Toronto, Ontario, Canada…weighing 250 pounds…EDGE!!!”

Edge slides under the bottom rope and removes his coat waiting for the third and final opponent.

*YOU CANT SEE ME, MY TIME IS NOW*

‘The Fink’ – “And making his way to the ring, from West Newbury, Massachusettes! Weighing in at 240 pounds. JOHN CENAAAAAAA!”

Cena salutes the crowd as normal, then runs to the ring as he slides under the bottom rope, Edge jumps him before the bell…this match is underway!

John Cena v Edge v Rob Van Dam

Edge starts the match pounding on Cena on the mat until Van Dam runs over starts to beat on Edge. Both Cena and Van Dam double team Edge with a back body drop and double clothesline over the top rope. Edge hits the mats below and for the moment we’re left with John Cena and RVD going toe to toe in the ring.
Edge merely remains outside the ring watching…evaluating…what’s going on in the ring.
When the time is right for him, Edge dives through the ropes and rolls up RVD for a quick 2 count.
From here, the match evolves into various combinations of double teaming from the three men and times where one of the superstars is prone outside the ring whilst the two men in the ring battle with each other gaining various near falls with their signature moves. Cena nearly makes Edge tap with an ‘STFU’…whilst Edge goes close to pinning RVD with and ‘Edgucation’ DDT. In return RVD goes close to pinning Cena with a split legged moonsault.
15 minutes into the match and we are approaching the end when Edge is measuring up RVD for a spear…RVD with a leap frog and Edge drives himself shoulder first into the ring post. As RVD lands on his feet, Cena catches him and sets him for the ‘Attitude Adjustment’…RVD fights his way out of it and nails a spin kick. With Cena down, RVD comes off of the ropes and hits ‘Rolling Thunder’…1…2…Cena’s up! RVD feels that the end is near and drags Cena to the middle of the ring and climbs to the top rope.
Crowd join in with Van Dam on the top rope with a BIG “ROB…VAN…DAM” chant…VAN DAM WITH A ‘5 STAR FROG SPLASH’…CENA’S GOT HIS KNEES UP!!!
Cena pulls himself up to his feet and quickly grabs RVD and nails the ‘Attitude Andjustment’.
BOOOOM!!! EDGE CATCHES CENA WITH A SPEAR AT JUST THE RIGHT MOMENT! Cena rolls to the outside, winded. Edge glances over at the prone lying Van Dam and crawls over to cover him.

1

2

3!!!!

Winner via pinfall, ‘The Rated R Superstar’ Edge

Edge rolls out of the ring celebrating as both his opponents lie in and out of the ring…Van Dam looking in flat out whilst Cena looks frustrated at having the match almost within his grasp.

The camera pans up and we see Christian standing just underneath the Megatron looking on.

Matt Striker – “That is a massive win and will certainly give Edge some momentum, but here we are again Michael, Christian is out this time, watching his brother Edge…what in the world is going on between these two?”

Michael Cole – “I have got no idea Matt….but next week, maybe we’ll find out. From Michael Cole and ‘Your Teacher’ Matt Striker…Good night everybody!”

The last shot we get of the night is that of Edge lying on the ramp with his arm raised smiling whilst Christian stands on the stage area showing no emotion whatsoever.

Fade to black.

Simply Priceless 'Thursday Night Prime Time' Review

Good show Simply! loving the tease at the end where Christian comes out, Are Edge and Christian together? Got my wondering! Montel Porter as your first U.S Champ is a shock, Didn't think he would claim it. Liking the idea of Jim Cornette with America's Most Wanted, That could lead to some interesting developments. The Guns are my pick to win the Tag Titles at Wrestlefest and it was nice to see them get some action this week. Would have been nice to have Worlds Greatest Tag Team come out and watch them like The Guns did a couple of weeks ago.

With the Wrestlefest Championship title tournament coming up soon it will be interesting to find out who the 8th guy is. My pick for the title is CM Punk or Edge, RVD seems to be getting alot of attension so he comes as an outsider.

Loads of great teases and the storylines are developing well. Cant wait for the next show, Should be good.

WEW ‘Thursday Night Warfare’
April 1st 2010
Sommet Centre

Ah, it is time for me to review my "rival" company's show!!!!
So far things are building up nicely.
I think we're going to see Randy v Kofi for the North American title and I think we'll also see Hernandez v Matt Morgan in one shape or another.
In this weeks show I did like the fact that you brought 'Super Mex' into the main event picture. Even if he doesn't get a title shot soon, the fact he is rubbing shoulders with Hunter and Jericho is a good thing for him.
I like the look of the French Connection. I am very intruiged by adding Eric Young to them but time will see how that plays out. I did like their promo this week too and the Puerto Rico comment was a nice way to really add spice to the feud.
I like the team of Bourne and Kaz as I feel that these two guys could have easily been lost in the mix but they been rescued in the tag team division and its a fresh new team!
I look forward to this more in the build up to 'New Dawn'.
