Kurt has lots of knowledge that could benefit many of the younger guys on the roster. I also get the impression that Kurt could likely benefit from a steady paycheck. Sounds like a win-win to me..

Yeah he'll help out the young wrestlers with his experience and innate talent but he's just another producer vince will ignore when it suits him and is giving a paycheck so he won't show up elsewhere aka AEW

ANGLE ALERT! HE'S GONNA SCREW CORBIN ON MONDAY!

Well.....maybe.
Yes, let's not forget that since Angle seems to enjoy working with Corbin, and for those who don't particularly care for Corbin, get ready to likely see a lot more of Corbin in every single driving storyline in the future.

For those who do like Corbin? Lucky day.

Meh, I guess. Sounds more like they don't want Angle to be a free agent elsewhere so they have to keep him signed with them in some capacity.
probably best case for his own safety tbh. I could easily see angle wrestling again if he went elsewhere.

really depends if his retirement was his own call or whether wwe made the choice for him like flair.

even if he did retire by choice, angle seems like the kind of guy that wouldnt take much convincing and he would be back doing moonsaults off a cage. I would much rather he stay working backstage at wwe than get tempted into doing something stupid somewhere else because its likely other promotions would only be interested in him if he did wrestle.

wwe is the best place to be in terms of offering backstage jobs to older wrestlers. Plus he will likely get his legends contract and earn money off the merchandise and video game inclusions etc so he can keep earning.

I don't personally think that wwe really has any real benefit to hoarding kurt angle at his age and body condition. it is probably a goodwill gesture by keeping him on and they might even get some advantages from his knowledge. Its not like he has any value to vince as a performer anymore and the novelty factor to kurts return has certainly worn off.

Sounds like they didn't want him to be a free agent and go elsewhere. His knowledge and name alone is beneficial. I'm glad he is in this role at this stage of his career.

Good he understands characters and story are the most important aspects of the business.
So does everyone in WWE. It's ONLY Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn that are the problem.

Kurt Angle ain't gonna make one iota of a difference. A year from now, Raw is still gonna be the exact same show, and the year after that it will still be the exact same show, and the year after that, and you get the idea, until one day Vince has shuffled off this mortal coil and we get a pro wrestling company again.

I would have thought the PC as a permanent coach was more up his alley. But maybe he wants to be on the road so he can still feel like one of the boys, just like Rhino who declined a favorable contract because it meant he would get paid to sit at home.
