I and many others believe TNA has been producing some of it's best work every since going Live. Dixie Carter has always said that the fans involvement can Impact the company. So I'm asking all TNA fans who want to continue to see TNA Live every Thursday to join this campaign. It's simple.

Just tweet @TNADixie, @IMPACTWRESTLING and most importantly @SpikeTV with the hashtag #KeepImpactLive and if you want, a reason as too why you want to continue to see #ImpactLive past it's Summer Bash.

#KeepImpactLive trending worldwide. All we need to do is hack the Rocks account and tweet that
No it isnt, you probably have your twitter set on 'tailored trends'

The campaign is pointless, the ratings have been pathetic, so there is no chance of it staying live.

The show deserves much more. (Not that i take any notice of or care about the extremely inaccurate and unreliable ratings myself, but Spike will)

In reality the show will be getting WELL over 1.5 million viewers each week, but Spike and advertisers use the nielson system and that system tells us the ratings stink, and therefore live shows will not continue. (sadly)

I honestly don't think going Live costs that much more then taping a show and airing a few days later. I really hope, this DirecTV situation is resolved soon. Too get a feeling of what TNA's viewership is after DestinationX

TNA's viewership will never get much over the 1.5 million mark unless they sign John Cena or The Rock.

Not at all a dig at TNA, as the product has been very good, just sadly the way it is.

Many, many good/great shows have been cancelled because they didnt get the ratings.

Firefly
Awake
Jericho
Terminator Chronicles
Arrested Development

Just a few very good shows that were critically praised but never got good ratings, so were cancelled.

TNA is probably in that batch, but Spike will never cancel it.

Well remember in 2009, they where getting well over 1.5 million for months in a row. Infact, nearly hitting 2 million every week. Don't say "NEVER" when they have done it before.

Times have changed a lot since 2009.

People are watching TV shows in many different ways and on many different devices.

They wont ever get back to those numbers, the Monday night experiment and the terrible shows in 2010 put many people off for good.

People are prepared to give WWE chance after chance after chance, but not TNA. Just the way it is. People were brought up on WWE so will always go to that instead of a lesser known brand.

I'm telling ya, other than signing Cena or Rock there is absolutely nothing they can do. They just do not have the brand name strength or recognition, and the brand TNA is tarnished.

People hear TNA they automatically think = 'Shit 2nd rate WWE', even if the show is better. Talk to casual wrestling fans, thats what they think.

There is no reason for wrestling to be live in 2012. If it can...cool...but no reason. Smackdown has pulled consistently higher ratings then Impact despite not being live the majority of the time.
Impact being live has made a bit of a difference for me. There's just a different feeling when I'm sitting down to watch a live show as opposed to a canned show.

James Storm winning the title October of last year was the most watched thursday night Impact ever and had 2.02 million viewers. Also, last summer TNA was averaging 1.2 ratings with 1.7 million viewers.
That was a big heavily promoted episode if I remember correctly, they cant do that everyweek.

Its no coincidence that WWE's ratings have fallen at the same time as TNA's. I think WWE's poor product has actually hurt TNA by putting people off wrestling all together.

I dont care about the ratings at all, Spike TV is not the network for TNA, but iMPACT needs to stay live, its just another feeling of not knowing what will happen, better than having spoilers, i hope they stay live for a long long time, they have money and Spike will eventually back them up.

A crazy jump to FX, TNT or even TBS would be a better move for TNA, probably, but those networks wont probably give them backup.

It's already ending. They've booked a house show in my hometown on a Thursday the first week of September and have already put tickets on sale with the main stars all guaranteed to be there, so at the end of August, it appears iMPACT will no longer be live.

Not really. They had house shows on Thursday when Impact started going live and they just switched the line up.

The decision will be made at the last minute because in wrestling things can change at the drop of a dime. Plus ratings are judged by the previous week show.

Impact definately needs to stay live. It's just something about a live show that makes it much more entertaining than a taped one. I do think eventually they'll go back to the live broadcasts but we will see a break where Impact is taped again and hopefully that won't make a huge difference, but it will seem odd again.

I don't think the decision to not stay live would be ratings based. Impact has had pretty consistant ratings recently, and I think it's one of Spike's highest rated shows? (I really could be wrong on that, if I am, call me out on it).
