Justin Credible Believes Bryan Danielson Has Been Booked 'Terribly' In AEW

Former ECW and WWE star Justin Credible feels that AEW has not utilized Bryan Danielson to his full potential in his current run with the company.

Credible, during his recent interaction with the "Hitting The Turnbuckle" podcast, stated that Danielson was a huge star in pro wrestling just a few years ago, but has been booked badly by AEW.

"I know Bryan Danielson very well, I mean he was one of the biggest stars on the planet just a couple of years ago, and they've done a horrible job with him," said Credible.

He thinks that AEW's young stars could benefit hugely from the expertise and experience of the likes of Danielson, but pointed out a possible reason for them not coming together backstage.

"Not to have him [Danielson] in some way pick these guys' brains, I just would imagine that everybody would have come together a lot easier," stated the veteran star. "I think there's so much ego involved, it blows my mind, because ECW, the way it worked was there was no ego."

Credible has heard through the grapevine that a few of the younger stars in AEW are selfish and don't want to work with the veteran stars in the company. He said AEW stars don't want to take advice from veterans like Dean Malenko or Jerry Lynn, both of whom work as backstage producers. He reasoned why these veteran stars are still a part of AEW despite having their hands tied behind the scenes.

"I just feel like people are being paid good, maybe too good, and they're just like, 'F**k this, let me just do the bare minimum what I'm asked, let's ride this train till the wheels fall off, make our money and go home,'" said Credible.

Ironically not credible.

He’s part of the BCC, the best thing on the show right now.

BCC died the moment Regal left to me, though even then it was on life support.

Castagnoli and Moxley don't need this stable and making them constantly be in tag division and doing backstage beatups is a bit lame. Danielson doesn't need this group either. Only one who does because it improves his relevance is boring as shit even with them and that is Wheeler Yuta.

It was like a high school team bringing in Lebron James.

Was never a good fit.

Keep in mind, it is likely Bryan himself who books all his direction. He was the same one who offered to job to guys who in reality he should never have in AEW.

With the exception of now and his immediate debut, I'd be inclined to agree.

Just a reminder why bookers exist. Although, in this case, Khan isn't a guy who grew up in the business, had a long career beforehand, or started from the ground up in building the company like most bookers.

Hmm I'd say it's been a mixed bag. I like what he's doing now and I really liked his feud with Hangman. At the same time, he should not be losing to Daniel Garcia, who I think is great but has lost almost all of his other matches.
Danielson from the start to the end of the Hangman feud was awesome. Him destroying Dark Order members in their hometowns was funny. Babyface Danielson was a best bout machine without an interesting character. Outside of YES! YES! YES!, he was always better as a heel. The MJF match was his last as a babyface and was an all-timer.

Current Danielson I'm enjoying and he seems to be also. He and Mox as rampaging badasses is great. BCC has been much better in this phase. Regal gentrified them way too much and took away from what they seemed designed to be.

BTW, Justin Credible sucked and his ECW World Title reign marked the beginning of the end. Paul E. only strapped him up because WWF and WCW didn't want him.

I don’t really care about the soap opera/weekly TV aspects personally, so for me this has easily been the best portion of his career since his old ROH run. He’s wrestling guys I want to see him wrestle, and putting on vicious, physical, long matches with them.

I'd give Bryan's booking a B+. I've enjoyed almost everything, the only bad in his run was that 2 month stretch of time where he kept losing. I didn't agree with having him put over BOTH Jericho and Garcia. If not for that I'd give it an A.

But he did the same thing in WWE, he loves to put people over.
The BCC should of been done when Regal left. I swear it only exists to push Wheeler Yuta. And we all know they're probably going to do the job to the Elite because its the Elite.

For those that always tout his feud with Hangman, can anyone name anything they did to build their matches? Bryan wrestling Dark Order member x is not a way to build a good “feud”.

It is super sad to see him be wasted. He was the best heel in the business... for like two weeks..

Agreed, i feel like that formula has been used far too many times by the heel in AEW. So played out.

Yeah its not been terrible just like alot of folks extremely inconsistent. And that's fine for midcarder talent not one of your marquee guys

I thought that the promos Bryan was cutting during that feud were entertaining and obviously those matches were incredible
I think most of this like others have said is more so his choice and I'm cool with it. He's putting on bangers with every loss or win with a lot of guys I've wanted him to wrestle.
