Can't say I particularly care until it happens. Ian always seems to announce a big tournament with huge names, and the names always either have "travel issues" or the show is cancelled.
I thought it was announced a couple days ago? Or was that the Queen of the Deathmatches tournament? Thought I saw it on Twitter..

Ah well, I still love and support anything IWA, they've been running some shows since atleast last year, so I hope this one goes on as planned too.
Those are solid names to start with. Really it just depends on whether or not the rest of the tournament has guys that can actually work or if they just get backyard wrestlers that will bleed buckets.
IWA-MS is still around? I thought that got put out of its misery years ago.
Say, what is the IWA? Some kind of governing body?
Here's to a 03' or 06' repeat, quality wise
Haven't followed IWA:MS in like a decade, any probability Mike Levy will be wrestling?
Personally haven't seen any IWA:MS but considering Ian's reputation I feel iffy on the whole thing...
Does this thing draw?

The last one I saw (Many years ago) had guys killing themselves in front of about 100 people in a parking lot.
The 01-06 shows drew pretty well if I remember correctly, never as much as TOD but still

I feel like they charge a lot of money to see the show so even if they don't have many people they get a decent gate.

I feel like they once were something like that but as far as I know IWA:MS is fully independent of any other company.
Just announced a few moments ago, the fourth competitor will be MASADA.

If the four so far announced stick to the plans, could shape up good, now we just need Corp, Necro, Danny Havoc and some other boys
Tournament with Necro>Tournament without Necro.

IWA was a loose bunch of hardcore promotions around 2004-2005 but i think their only ties were the name and wrestling style. You had IWA:MS (MidSouth), IWA.DS (Deep South), IWA:EC (East Coast), IWA:Japan and IWA.Puerto Rico. And in the past few years i've also seen the names MidWest and Florida, but those 2 are new ones i think.

But other than IWA:MS (1999-2005) none of them have ever been relevant. Especially IWA.DS was atrocious. These IWA promotions are kinda the main reason why people look down on hardcore/deathmatches.
IWA has been back since last year and honestly....they arn't doing bad. They're using a bunch of up and coming talent such as Team IOU, The Hooligans, Christian Rose, Jon Gresham, and Danny Cannon along the lines of Davey Richards, Kyle O'Reilly, Drake Younger, Michael Elgin, Chris Hero, etc.

I don't think IWA in Puerto Rico and IWA in Japan had any link with the U.S. indies of the same name.

As far as deathmatches go, IWA-MS was the most relevant. IWA-EC had a few good Masters of Pain tournaments ( if not all of them) and DS had the Carnage Cup, which is the lowest on the deathmatch tournament totem pole.
Carnage Cup is amazing for the worst of reasons.
IWA-MS shows have been pretty solid lately. I know Ian had that health scare and it may have changed him a bit. I was under the impression that someone else was funding/producing the MS shows now though? Either way, I know that they have been spitting out quality shows lately so if this was going to happen again, I would think now is the time. The more Team IOU is in front of a camera the better, not that they are going to be in any deathmatches but they are still getting quality face time in MS as of late.
