This isnt a thread about who is the better wrestler because it becomes opinion based. I want facts.

Edge and Jeff were both in the big 3 tag teams of the attitude era and both set new standards for tag team wrestlers. They both transitioned into singles wrestlers and became WHC and WWE champions.

Who was most popular at the peak of their career? Edge or Jeff Hardy?

Hmm that is a good question. Putting my bias on the side I would say maybe Edge. But he also had things going on, like the Live Sex Show, so it is hard to say how much of his popularity was his and how much was due to his story lines. Both had females who found them good looking and both had a mysterious artist type feel to them. Edge was a bit more outgoing while Jeff was a bit more quiet. I might get the...edge, to Edge but I think it is a close race.

Jeff at his peak without any question. That guy threatens Cena popularity and somewhat surpassed. Him main eventing 3/4 PPV despite Cena, Orton etc. Also on the card say it all. Can't remember Edge main eventing without big name together.

Jeff Hardy 07-09 was as over as John Cena, if not more at times. Hardy blew his chances burning holes through piss cups.

Edge is the guy people will remember 10 years from now, look back on his work as some of the best and rightfully so. He's had the better career.

Jeff for sure, Edge was popular but Jeff was the most popular wrestler in the world in 2008, he was so ludicrously over, don't think Edge ever quite got their, Edge had a better career but that's really because every time Jeff go to the top, he failed a drugs test but Jeff was insanely over in his second run and was also crazy over in the first

It's hard to judge the popularity factor in the first place, Edge spent most of his time as a heel, while Hardy was arguably the hottest face at the time during his short run on top. It'll quickly fall into nothing more then opinion. Edge was around longer and on top longer, so you would be inclined to go with him.... but I remember Hardy being on fire back in 2002 when he left, and it didn't take long to regain his popularity throughout 2008. At one point Hardy's merch sales were among the top in WWE according to various reports... but again, Edge was a heel, so it makes sense for Hardy's merch to move faster. I'd have to give it to Edge due to longevity if nothing else. He was popular for longer, due to Jeff being elsewhere. However I'd say for every bit as popular as Hardy was as a face, Edge had equal amount of heat on him as a heel.

As far as my opinion goes... I'd want to give it to Hardy. I've always found Edge to be completely overrated (though, so is Hardy) and it still baffles me why he got pushed over Christian. However just trying to look at it as objectively as possible, I think Edge wins by a nose.

This question doesn't even make any damn sense.

Edge was a heel for most of his main event run. He was never popular in the traditional sense. Even when he turned face in 2010, he was like any normal face main eventer. He didn't get hot reactions or anything. Dude flopped as a face as a mid-carder, got repackaged as a heel for the next 5 years, then spent 1 year as an over face (and nowhere near as over as many of the big faces in the past decade like Eddie, Cena, Batista, Jeff, Punk, Bryan etc.). Jeff Hardy was over in the Attitude Era, but was also the most over superstar in the company from late 2008 until his departure in 2009. Fans were going crazy for the guy.

People picking Edge are fucking delusional. It's like you all didn't even watch the damn show and start making up imaginary things.

Edge had the better career, but he was never as popular as Jeff Hardy. He wasn't even as popular as Orton. And Jeff was one of the most popular faces WWE has had. They'd have pushed him really far from 2009 onwards had he not been such a fuck up.

Jeff Hardy, but Edge was more professional. That's why he was more succesful.
That's debatable tbh. Jeff fucked up because his style of wrestling led to drug addictions. Edge cheated on his friend which led to a heel push. They're both awesome btw so don't think i'm bashing them.

Depends on how you look at it. I think, for a moment in time, Jeff Hardy was as popular as anybody of the modern era outside of Daniel Bryan and possibly CM Punk.

However, from a longevity standpoint, Edge has it all over Hardy.

Edge was obviously more successful in the long run. But Jeff was one of the most popular mother fuckers of all time. Edge had his moments where he was pretty over, but I don't recall him ever being Jeff Hardy over. From the night of that ladder match, until the day he retires, likely, people went apeshit whenever he was out there.

Jeff Hardy, easily.

Edge was the superior talent (infact Jeff is actually quite garbage), but Hardy did attract A LOT of fans as a face. It's easy to be a heel and get fans, but it's pretty damn hard to be a face and not come off as a cheesy goodie two shoes like John Cena that not much people like. Jeff Hardy had fans go wild for him (especially in 2009), and with the stupidity of the majority of the WWE's fanbase Hardy became a fan favorite both from casual fans and online hardcore fans. Anybody who watched the reactions Edge & Jeff got as faces would realize that whilst many liked Edge, many LOVED Jeff Hardy and seriously went ape shit whenever he came out or won any matches.
