Is there no free healthcare at all in the states? What about some sort of insurance plan? We moan about the NHS over here lol.
No. Even with good insurance you still have a lot to pay out, especially if the service is outside your network. I have a "good" insurance and have to pay my first $1,000 if I go to a specialist (which is mostly everything except your primary dr, who can't do shit unless you're best buds and they prescribe you whatever). Is there no free healthcare at all in the states? I don’t think this has to do with healthcare (I don’t see how it would as I believe he was deceased at the scene and didn’t require any sort of hospitalization) as much as a contribution to his family since he’s no longer around to support them going forward. Is there no free healthcare at all in the states? Jericho's one of the good ones. Respect to him.Say what you like about Chris Jericho but the man looks after his brothers and sisters in this crazy world wrestling, he always donates to these fundraisers (with $15k donated to Jay Briscoe).
So true. Charity begins at home.Rip Jay. But there's a cost of living crisis here in the UK. I can't afford to give even £5.
I just thought maybe the collection was for the daughters' medical bills or Jay's funeral.I don’t think this has to do with healthcare (I don’t see how it would as I believe he was deceased at the scene and didn’t require any sort of hospitalization) as much as a contribution to his family since he’s no longer around to support them going forward.
In the States, we have hospitals that cannot turn patients away. A lot of people use them in lieu of a primary care physician and will go to the hospital for anything ranging from a sore throat to a gunshot wound. They may run up a huge bill, but there’s really no way to collect unless the person is well-off (in which case they’d have health insurance) or if they were injured by the negligence of someone else and sue that person or entity (in which case the hospital will have a lien and be entitled to reimbursement from the lawsuit settlement).
Free Healthcare LOL...Is there no free healthcare at all in the states? What about some sort of insurance plan? We moan about the NHS over here lol.
The problem with 'free' healthcare is that you end up with low-quality garbage that's so bad it's often worse than nothing at all, like we see in the laughable disaster that is the NHS.I'm glad the target has been met, but every campaign like this should be a constant reminder that the US Health System is fundamentally broken in a massive way. In a country where people pay 20, 30 ... 50 percent tax, there should be a working Health Care system that provides emergency treatment for no additional cost.

As for the US healthcare, the real issue isn't that it's not free (free = garbage tier, like the NHS). The issue is that's it's wildly overpriced. One of the reasons it's wildly overpriced is that the US performs nearly half of the medical research in the world, despite being just 4.2% of the world's population. Those research expenses trickle down to the American people, with help from corrupt politicians (naturally), all while the rest of the world benefits from our research, labor, and costs. It's a harsh, unfair system, and it needs to end. The rest of the world needs to stop suckling at the teats of America and actually carry their weight. 4% of the world should not be doing 46% of the work. Do better, Europe and Australia.
Source: "The US carries out 46% of global research and development (R&D) in the life sciences, making it the world leader in medical research."
Maybe the non-Americans who have benefited from America's self-sacrifice over the years can pay it back a little by donating to the Pugh Love campaign?
No our medical industry are some of the most vile, greedy, condescending, exploitative, and sadistic pieces of shit in our society who just get giddy whenever anyone comes in with physical pain, because to them, that just means they get to update their cars yearly or get that sweet extension in their houses. And during the pandemic we balooned their already massively inflated egos.Is there no free healthcare at all in the states? What about some sort of insurance plan? Nope the United States does not have tax paid health service. Nor do we even have public insurance unless your poor or old.Is there no free healthcare at all in the states? What about some sort of insurance plan? We moan about the NHS over here lol.
All correct. All depressing.Professional wrestlers are independent contractors and Not entitled to get insurance through the company. They have to pay their healthcare and road expenses out of pocket.
You would be surprised how many people are forced to turn to Begging on sites like go fund me just to pay for basic health care.
And with Jay's family is even worse. Not only do they have to pay thousands of dollars for his funeral but then they have to pay Even more money for the medical expenses for the injuries that his daughters Suffered In the accident. And even if they have medical insurance most insurance will try to get out of Paying for snything
Sorry to hear that man. Over here people moan that the NHS offers poor quality service but I would rather this than try to come up with the extortionate funds if anything were to happen. NHS staff kept the country going during the pandemic. The staff do actually care for the patients, to them its not all about the money as it is well known they are poorly paid for what they do. But at the end of the day they are taxpayer funded and there just isn't enough funding to give that private standard of service. When you have an emergency they will sort you out ASAP. When you go into labour the midwives get straight onto it. Heck even the antenatal care is decent.Nope the United States does not have tax paid health service. Nor do we even have public insurance unless your poor or old.
If you're And can't afford insurance your completely fucked.

though i do agree but the money is also used for greiving time. and the other donation is for a college fund for the kidsIt's disappointing that people have to beg for money to pay for medical bills.
